Associação Académica da Universidade do Minho is the representative body of the students of the University of Minho. My position is director for employment and my function is to bring students closer to the labor market.

Every year we organize the START POINT Summit, the largest fair of employment, entrepreneurship and training at the University of Minho. This year, we wanted to introduce something new and differentiating and for that we contacted Codepoint to help us develop an app that would help the event.

How did you select Codepoint and what were the deciding factors?

Since the first meeting we felt great empathy for the Codepoint team, for all the availability and interest they showed in this project. It wasn't the cheapest option, but it seemed to us to be the best option and ended up justifying it.

To start, we had a meeting to define the project goals and align milestones. Starting the project, we were presented with wireframes with the app design. After being approved, several students were interviewed in order to understand if the design made sense and if it was really intuitive and interesting for the final user.

Next, we moved on to the development of the mobile app, and when this stage was over, the necessary tests were performed in order to ensure that everything was ready for the final launch.

How many resources from the Codepoint team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Three people worked directly with us. Me and Andreia, as CEO, were the connection between the two entities. Rita, the project manager, received all of our feedback regarding the product development and ensured that at the next meeting all of our suggestions were guaranteed.

Finally, Júlia was responsible for the design of the mobile app and it was through her that we handled the wireframes and the initial interviews with the students.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Throughout the event, we had over 1500 people and over 1200 downloads. These numbers were only possible thanks to the app developed by Codepoint.

Top grade. I have nothing negative to point out, quite the opposite. Since the beginning, the whole Codepoint team always had everything well defined as to what they had to do to achieve the final goal. As for us, They always have an enormous availability and readiness for any requirements and suggestions that we had.

Seen from the outside, the good, almost family-like atmosphere they have inside the company.

The project involved the end-to-end development of a mobile application and a back office system. The app was designed for use by our clients and members, offering a user-friendly interface to access our services and manage their interactions with the company. In parallel, the back office system was built for internal use by our team, serving as an operational hub for administrative tasks and client management. This back office was developed with scalability in mind, as it is intended to evolve into the company’s future ERP system. Key deliverables included a fully functional client-facing app, an integrated back office platform, user authentication features, data management tools, and the groundwork for future ERP integration.

The project was a clear success, both in terms of delivery and collaboration. From the outset, the team demonstrated excellent communication, fully understanding our vision and translating it into a functional, user-friendly app and back office. All requirements were met smoothly and efficiently, with no major revisions needed—a rare and valuable outcome in software development. Milestones were consistently delivered on time, and the team remained highly supportive and responsive throughout the process. Their proactive approach and commitment to quality ensured a final product that met our expectations and set a solid foundation for future ERP development.

The project consisted of a mobile app able to realistically simulate painting interior and exterior walls and is if real paint was used, retaining the natural properties of the photos submited by the users, including light and shadow. All the brands sources of data came from a centalized database through custom made API. Integration with a Single Sign On system was also implmented.

The solution had a massive amount of downloads and has maintained over time a growing number of new and recurring users. It also became a key asset in the client's marketing strategy aligned with it's focus on provided cross chanmel consumer decision support solutions.

Development of a web application inside Azure to link to our Wordpress website and allow customers to obtain an online price after the calculation of different parameters. Codepoint also manages all the API calls between this web app and our CRM, as well as a bespoke platformto allow suppliers to submit their invoices for payment.

All elements of the project were completed within the agreed schedules, and are fully fuctioning without any issues.

Very quick responses, on-time deliveries and deliveries ahead of schedule, in-depth testing,feedback and suggestions provided throughout the whole process to simplify the project and achieve the same or better results.

To implement the responsive web application for a mental heath program for youngsters. This platform uses state-of-art psychology research.
