I’m the senior director of digital operations of a healthcare organization. We develop applications that improve patient care.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Cloudain LLC?

We had a very complex legacy system with a lot of integrations with other applications. We wanted to upgrade our system and transform it into a Cloud solution using the latest technologies.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired Cloudain LLC to improve our legacy system by digitally transforming it into a Cloud system. There were primarily two applications integrated into the system: a patient care app and an internal reporting app. This project involved understanding the system’s interfaces, looking into the architecture that we had proposed earlier, and providing better architecture recommendations. Aside from that, Cloudain LLC provided infrastructure as code to help us with our production and deployment processes so that we could reuse those codes in the future. They also reviewed the security of the architecture and provided cost and improvement recommendations.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 3–5 people from Cloudain LLC, including a technical manager and a solution architect.

How did you come to work with Cloudain LLC?

Cloudain LLC was recommended by one of our directors. The deciding factors were the value for cost and the team’s technical expertise.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $58,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on this project from November 2022–April 2023, but we are planning on working with them again on another project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Cloudain LLC was able to deliver the infrastructure as code and the architecture design on time, and their work was positively received by our architecture review board. We also appreciated their deep understanding of our system.

How did Cloudain LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

Cloudain LLC performed well in terms of project management. They met deadlines, provided weekly data support, and were very responsive to our needs and requests. Overall, the project went seamlessly, and we experienced minimal technical difficulties.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with how quickly Cloudain LLC got up to speed and understood our complex system, allowing them to quickly build a solution and provide valuable insights and recommendations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have spent more time on the solutions instead of identifying existing issues within the system. Aside from that, I can’t think of anything else they need to improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to have clear requirements and scope of work.
