The objective was to enhance the existing Minimum Viable Product (MVP) by integrating new features into the online yoga collaborative platform for instructors and students. Specifically, we aimed to incorporate the following functionalities:

• Integration of online sessions with built-in video conferencing.
• Messaging capabilities.
• On-demand courses.
• A homepage with clear calls to action (CTAs).
• Email notifications.
• Reviews and star ratings.

Additionally, we requested the creation of separate pages for live sessions and instructor profiles.

The measurable outcomes from the project included increased user engagement through integrated video conferencing, enhanced communication via messaging, higher course completion rates, improved user satisfaction with email notifications and star ratings, and streamlined navigation with dedicated pages for live sessions and instructor profiles.

The team exhibited outstanding collaboration and fluid communication throughout the project. Each proposed change was comprehensively understood by all team members and rigorously validated by us prior to implementation. I'm the founder of a startup that provides a social community for home bakers.

I wanted to create a social networking website dedicated to baking.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I initially created an RFP, and Chakor returned with a proposal. We had a couple of follow-up calls, and after we decided to work with the team, we had a kick-off meeting. Chakor developed my website from scratch, which is essentially a social network platform where users can create a profile and comment, message, and upload media. Chakor mainly used no-code tools to build the site, which was responsive for mobile devices, too.

I worked with Chakor's two owners, Sania (Project Manager) and Haider (Web Application Developer).

I was satisfied with the project's result delivered by Chakor. I appreciated that the owners were involved during the process and were reachable. I now consider Chakor a trusted partner.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

Chakor successfully delivered the project on time and on budget. We communicated through video calls and Slack messaging.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Sania and Haider were very responsive and customer-oriented.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciated that Chakor was very responsive to my feedback when I had questions or concerns about timing. The team was very good at explaining technical limitations since I don't have a tech background. Whenever something I asked was outside of scope, the team explained the situation to me and provided options for troubleshooting within the scope of our agreement.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything Chakor can improve.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

When you're clear about what you want, Chakor is really good at responding with a reasonable price and time and developing your desired product. Every time there was confusion or delays in our project, it was because I didn't explain things clearly to Chakor or wasn't clear about what I wanted.

I engaged Chakor to pick up after I had hired another firm for my site MVP on Bubble.io. They are hourly-based, engaged to handle standard maintenance and begin roadmap work for v2+. So far, they've helped me complete the Google OAuth integration, improve existing site features, and are completing an audit of my database structure.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Chakor has handled many maintenance items in a short time-frame. They are not padding hours, and are making very fast progress through a roadmap list. They are completing work at a rate of 2-3x faster than my previous firm, and the output has been a far more polished product.

They are very quick to respond. They use a dedicated slack channel with a dev and myself. In addition, I've provided a roadmap (project plan) where we communicate dev and review status on each item. They are very quick to tackle each item, and prioritize them according to my needs.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are honest and smart and deliver quickly. They do work EST overlapping hours, so it's not the most convenient for live discussions for the West Coast (U.S.). However, they are very good communicators and utilize the Slack Channel effectively.

TBD. I was very happy with the first engagement phase.

We showed Chakor a presentation showing what we wanted to include, the proposed layout, and the required features. We clarified every step before starting and had conversations to ensure we were aligned on the scope. After this, their team began the development process. Their team is responsible for maintenance and delivering new features.

We worked with a co-founder and two other members of the Chakor team.

We found Chakor through Upwork; we initially spoke to about six companies, but were most impressed with Chakor and decided to move forward with them. We liked their portfolio and the recommendations they were making.

We worked together between December 2022–February 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We gave them a clear idea of what we were looking for, and they followed through on everything we needed. Even when there were challenging features, they took the time to research and test different ideas. They always came up with solutions and were able to deliver an end product that exceeded our expectations. We plan on working with them again.  

How did Chakor perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything was delivered within budget, and if there were challenges, they took care of it. Even if something took longer than expected, we were okay with it because we knew they were taking the time needed to create a great product. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Each member of the Chakor team that we worked with was excellent. We appreciated their communication and responsiveness. We were also impressed with Chakor’s technical skills and their willingness to learn. If there was ever anything they didn’t know, they took the time to learn about it. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing we can come up with at this point. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Come in with a very clear scope of work to give them an idea of what you need from them. I’d also recommend that customers ask for a detailed scope of work from Chakor to ensure you’re on the right track. Communication is a vital part of the process.

I hired them to build a prototype for a web app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Chakor has built a web app prototype for us. We started with a discovery phase to review requirements. I provided them with documentation and a high-level review of tasks and use cases, among other items. 

From there, Chakor created a wireframe, then moved on to the implementation. The app is no-code, and the team used Bubble for development. The app has an end-client-facing frontend, a services backend, and business flows for the services we offer. Chakor also created a unique feature that calculates financial data for our end clients.

We worked with two teammates from Chakor: a lead and a dedicated engineer. 

How did you come to work with Chakor?

They were listed as a vendor on the Bubble platform; I found them there.

We spent less than $5,000.

We worked with them from April–June 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The project’s results were pretty good. The resources Chakor assigned to the task went into great detail to capture all our requirements correctly when building the wireframes. They also discussed proper design and implementation.  

How did Chakor perform from a project management standpoint?

We had to extend the deadline due to some changes in requirements throughout the process, and Chakor stayed within the budget. As for communication and project management tools, we used Slack, Google Meet, and Google Docs. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Although I don’t have experience working with other service providers and can’t compare, Chakor did a good job. They were very open to feedback.

They could have had more senior teammates on the project.

 You need clear requirements; the better you do that, the better your outcome will be.
