Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The project involved creating a custom LMS front-end and multi-site architecture using the LearnDash LMS plugin on WordPress, as well as a marketing site for retail course sales. Other plugins were utilized as well, resulting in a unique, custom LMS UX.

The key deliverables in this project were:

• Custom front-end UI
• Custom multi-site LMS architecture
• Custom user account and user course progress import tools to aid in the migration of user data from our previous LMS
• Custom back-end user management tools, including user interaction logs and course progress adjustment tools
• Custom marketing website
• E-commerce integration for retail course sales
• Custom reporting feature for admins to easily access user data
• Custom email notifications for admins to monitor user progress and certificate expirations
• Integration with Accredible for certificate issuance and expiry date tracking
• Custom multi-language feature for LMS UI
• Custom solution for generating access codes for user self-registration

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to migrate our entire user base from our previous LMS (which was not customized to our needs and we did not own) to our new, completely proprietary system. The new LMS is not only a financial asset that we own, it's now fully customizable, allowing us to attract new clients whose needs could not be met by our previous LMS.

The new LMS also enables us to scale at a rate that would not have been possible with our previous LMS, since we're no longer restricted by the per-user cost we were paying the developers of that system.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Their project management has been excellent. Timelines have been clearly communicated to us, and deliverables are ready on time with very few exceptions. When timelines needed to be altered due to unforeseen circumstances, the adjusted timelines and reasons for the adjustments were promptly given.

BrainyYack has done a great job of prioritizing the tasks involved in the project. They are able to quickly respond to immediate, high-priority requests without disrupting the progress on other ongoing tasks.

Weekly meetings are held where they outline their progress for the previous week, but they are also available for impromptu meetings at short notice when pressing issues arise.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their dedication to providing top-quality deliverables and excellent customer service is obvious and commendable. It's clear that everyone on BrainyYack's team has passion for what they do. You get a feeling of genuine interest and excitement from them when discussing new features for development with their team, and they're not opposed to working extra hours to get the job done right.

Are there any areas for improvement or something BrainyYack could have done differently?

In hindsight, the only improvement I can suggest is that the initial scoping out of the project could have been more thorough. This is not entirely on them, as we, as a company, may not have had all the right stakeholders in the early conversations where the project was outlined, but I feel like the scope of certain features was not fully understood until the project was underway.

To their credit, BrainyYack was able to respond to this during the project by re-scoping certain deliverables and pivoting their development to the new goals, as well as providing new solutions not discussed during the initial scoping phase.
