I’m the head of crypto and the product owner of a gaming app called WAM.app.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Beyond Enterprizes?

We needed a company that could help us help us develop our token and staking smart contracts.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the engagement by providing Beyond Enterprizes with the requirements and information needed to develop the smart contract, which included the name of the coin, the ticker, and the maximum supply. After that, they worked on the token smart contract and delivered it within one week. They then helped us find another company to conduct the security audit on the smart contract.

They then started creating the staking contract from scratch using the ERC-20 token standard. We asked them to make it in such a way that people can stake for three, six, or 12 months. They used Solidity, JavaScript, and Web3 to connect the frontend with the smart contract.

What is the team composition?

We worked with three people from Beyond Enterprizes, including a project manager and two programmers.

How did you come to work with Beyond Enterprizes?

Our CTO found them and selected them for this project because of their professionalism.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from November 2021–February 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Beyond Enterprizes delivered a secure smart contract, and everything is working smoothly. We did find some bugs, but Beyond Enterprizes was able to solve them quickly before deploying the product.

How did Beyond Enterprizes perform from a project management standpoint?

Beyond Enterprizes performed well in terms of project management. They delivered the project on time, and they were incredibly enjoyable to work with. We had weekly calls to check on their progress.

We typically communicated through Google Meet and in-person meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were most impressed with Beyond Enterprizes’ responsiveness, friendliness, and client-centric approach.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. They were able to solve all of the issues that arose.

Make sure to clearly communicate what you want to achieve from the project.

Please describe your company and your position there.

CLAPART is a decentralized ecosystem where fans can invest in creative projects and creators can fund their work without artistic compromise. I am the Chief Innovation Officer and in charge of the product vision, website and some communication roles.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Beyond Enterprizes, and what were your goals?

The subject of our collaboration with Beyond was implementing our vision of the app, helping us develop new features and assisting us in our product strategy. Our goals were to deploy the initial versions of our MVP, assess traction in the market and start having operational revenues.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We shortlisted 4 companies in software development that also had blockchain know-how and mobile app expertise. We decided to work with Beyond due to their extensive know-how, support in the discovery process and competitive financial proposal.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We first had a discovery period, where Beyond walked us through a discovery process, where both sides clarified some aspects regarding certain business flows that had to be reflected in the product. Implementing the product itself meant working together for UX, UI, design, copyrighting, technical specs and interconnections, various key decisions and more. We now have a very clear product strategy and a lot of the merit for that is due to the team @ Beyond.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I directly worked with Ioana Frincu, CTO. I also worked with dedicated Project Managers, two designers, and at least 2 tech leads from the mobile development team.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

What really impressed me was the cost control. Usually in software development projects, especially when implementing experimental or innovative business models or tech features, it is normal to have budget overruns. It was not the case with Beyond, and they moved in line with the assumed release calendar too, with no noticeable delays whatsoever. Our MVP is roughly 70% ready and we expect to launch according to the schedule.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

It was a mix of well-organized and flexible. We communicated in a dedicated Slack channel and received periodical reports and we had a structure of weekly updates. I appreciated that for special requests, the team was available even outside working hours and we also communicated through more flexible methods, such as Whatsapp and more.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They know how to build blockchain-based products, together with the skills and experience in building mobile apps.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, we are very satisfied with the collaboration.
