I’m the founder of a software company that is focused on the design and the development of multi-discipline projects related with automation and control solutions.

For what projects/services did your company hire BASquare?

Basquare is generally our reliable tech-partner that helped us to develop modifications for our embedded - mobile app – server. They delivered specific updates and comprehensive integration to the server according to the settled deadline.

What were your goals for this project?

My goal was to make integration of our smart wearable device with mobile app developed by BASquare and Cloud-based server.

Basquare company was cooperating with our partners who highly recommended us to work with Basquare’s team. This was the greatest advice ever.

Our products are a wearable wellbeing device mobile application and Cloud-based server.

What was the team composition?

Basquare’s team that we were working with included up to 10 people. Except of receiving the help from the backend professionals, we were also consulted by frontend, mobile developers, as well as experienced architect engineer, project managers, and a QA tester.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The main key in our collaboration with BASquare was mutual vehemence and engrossed enthusiasm about the automated process. The quality of work was on a very high level, as Basquare team tended to make everything in exact terms. By working with them we were able to deliver our further clients abundant profit with simple and accessible usability.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Working with Basquare was excellent and easy. Streamline consistency and proven proficiency of the team had met all my requirements. They are certainly dedicated experts.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

BASquare helped us in building an architecture for the embedded-mobile app – server, deployed significant updates and made structural feature enhancements. In addition, helped to modify the set of dynamic inner configurations with HTTP mechanism simplicity, consisting of specific operations to transport requests and responses. Further, provided us with configurable functionality to keep the control of embedded web app serve properly.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Life cycle of any outsourcing company is all about the constant development and improvement. As for the working process I wouldn’t say that Basquare needs to speed up, as everything was delivered punctually. We were working with Basquare according to the standard scrum methodology that let the work and the checkout to be made flawlessly. However, I consider that they could try to work with agile methodology just to understand the main difference.

For what projects/services did your company hire BASquare?

The main aim was to develop and further improve the product that will fully serve for the needs of travel users. Besides of that, delivering wonderful and easy user experience design across all possible platforms.

In addition, we were tracing the challenge to make the admin dashboard panel simple, divided into main tabs, reporting and without any kind information lack.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We had met each other a long time ago at the hackathon conference. As we were looking for an outsourced development company to implement our ideas into life and make our “baby” work, Basquare made the best ratio with the price and quality.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Basquare developed and improved the application that we needed. Before that they have made a significant analysis of the travel industry and add ideas to the main core of the application. 

They’ve made frontend, backend, UI/UX development of our app and sufficient testing on the daily basis. They handled the whole range of data engineering process by putting the data into a central office and generated reports, either Excel or reports in our current systems. 

They have provided automated insights with the purpose of flexible changes in the adaptation process for any mobile device apart from the operating system.

What was the team composition?

We are working basically with 3-4 engineers and mobile developers, such as Android and IOS that are doing multiple various tasks. All of them on full-time, and also with the qualified QA automation engineer.

Additionally, they have a strict project management team that are making sure that everything is delivered on time, deciding who does what on a daily meeting. They are also very flexible in hiring remote workers if needed.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The considerable influence in our mutual engagement process was the work that was always done specifically on time. However, we didn’t monitor any specific metrics, every task was done precisely and correctly. It was felt from the first moment of working that Basquare team that they are highly motivated and responsible for keeping their promises.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

It’s a complete Scrum environment with the operational stability in completing different tasks with team members. Their project management team is excellent in factors of controlling every particular part of the advanced technology process.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

There wasn’t even a case of the misunderstanding from any of the project managers. They’re great at solving any problem and providing several candidates for being involved in the development.

Are there any areas for improvement?

My only recommendation for them would be to try and slowly extend the company with hiring more talented people. Moreover, send their employees more often on different conferences abroad.

I’m a solo entrepreneur and founder of Similarity Search, a technology that helps identify and group similar images.

For what projects/services did your company hire BASquare?

BASquare developed a mobile app for images content processing. Due to the sensitivity of this project, we only developed the app for iOS. This helped keep the details of the technology secret and safe from possible attack.

What were your goals for this project?

I wanted to build a working mobile app as a POC [proof of concept]. The demo application would assess customers’ needs for image management technology on their cell phones.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I checked Clutch for mobile app development companies, selected the top 3 in my region, and sent them requests. I picked the one with the best proposal in terms of price and quality.

Describe the project in detail.

They helped create a mobile app for image processing according to the requirements that I provided. Initially, they proposed some changes that were supposed to improve the app. After reading their arguments, I agreed with them.

We did 2 releases. They supported and led Apple Store activities, including account creation, publishing, and versions update. They also provided a link to the app that allows me to demonstrate its strengths during discussions.

The app has access to photos on a mobile device. Once a user selects a specific album, the app scans it, processes the images, and builds groups of images with similar content. The demo app can modify the preciseness of comparison and select some predefined image processing algorithms.

On the user interface, the app provides the ability to view groups of similar images as well as images within a group. It also has a tool for photo sharing, usually the best one selected by the user. The user can select and save groups of similar images in separate albums, as well as build several subsets of processed images.

What was the team composition?

BASquare provided the developers while I handled testing.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

BASquare developed the application within a reasonable timeframe.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I wasn’t particular about development time since the algorithm’s accuracy was more important. All of our communication focused on these things. They responded on time and with the necessary details. When they proposed a modification or update, they clearly described the reasoning behind it, as well as the benefits of their solution.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I found it easy and productive to work with them. They were ready to start the project within a short time.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not in my case.

When I was working with BASquare, I was the owner of a company that did software consulting and software development for customers.

What challenge were you trying to address with BASquare?

We used BASquare because we needed additional development resources to help accomplish my client's goals. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

BASquare helped us build a web platform for a third-party client that would allow users to log in. It was a behavior management system that allowed users to record behaviors for developmentally challenged individuals and see how they were doing based on the custom behavior skills and ranks that the client needed. We were working directly with BASquare iteratively, and they were doing custom development for us. I think they built the website on a .NET platform, but that’s a guess.

How did you come to work with BASquare?

I had worked previously with the owner of BASquare at a different company. He was able to help us get this website up and running.

How much have you invested with BASquare?

I’m going to guess we invested around $50,000 with BASquare, but that is a spitball guess.

What is the status of this engagement?

I think we worked together from June 2013 through February 2014.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?

BASquare delivered exactly what we needed. By working with them, we were able to get our client what she needed, and we were able to deliver the project successfully.

How did BASquare perform from a project management standpoint?

I think we worked with about eight of BASquare’s team members. We managed the project directly by working with their dev team, which worked based on what we told them to do. They were responsive, and their estimates were accurate about how long they thought it would take for a specific feature to be completed.

Are there any areas BASquare could improve?

I can’t think of any ways BASquare could have improved. I don't know if the same team members are working at the company anymore, so I can’t provide effective feedback at this point.
