I’m a manager at an electric motors repair company.

What challenges were you trying to address with Avance Software?

We needed custom software development for our business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed a custom management platform for us. This system now allows us to register equipment arriving into our workshop and to keep track of all processes such as the assignment of pieces for repair, reports about the repairs made, quotations related to the repairing process, and billing.

They're currently providing updates and support for the software they made.

We work with 3–4 people from their team.

How did you come to work with Avance Software?

We did online research, looking for companies that had pre-designed solutions. We sent emails and started asking for proposals. They were the only ones who offered a custom platform that could adapt to our specific needs, so we felt like they were an excellent choice for us.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent about $3,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working in May 2013, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The system made our life easier. It was hard for us to keep such a detailed track of our processes before, and we can do that in a simple and organized manner with the system they developed.

How did Avance Software perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate mainly via email and Whatsapp. They’re friendly and always available.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One of the best things about the system is the banking module that allows us to bill services and manage payments — their product has been extremely useful and practical for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m happy with their service, although they could have more technicians available.

They were asked to develop two mobile applications. One was designed to allow employees to clock in and out using geolocation and biometrics (using facial recognition), and also view their clock-ins and pay stubs. The other was a biometric application that allowed any employee in a company to clock in and out using geolocation and facial recognition (it's like a biometric clock) but on a mobile device.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The system delivery was completed within the agreed timeframe and we are using it in production without any issues.
