What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

One of the critical things AutoWeb Technologies has done is get our website to a mobile-compatible version. Over 70% of our web traffic is mobile at this stage, which alone has been a key factor in what the team has done to keep us current with the times. After the success of this project, we asked AutoWeb Technologies to create a new website and rebuild an outdated database for the nonprofit organizations I work with.

How did AutoWeb Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

AutoWeb Technologies' project management has been fantastic and has remained a strength over our various projects. The team has a clear project and documentation flow, which we've used throughout the project. 
AutoWeb Technologies' team communicates well with each other. We've never felt like they don't know where we are on the project or the last conversation. The team is super responsive and timely. We collaborate via Google Docs and Google Sheets to give the team feedback. 
The frequency of meetings depends on where we are in any given project. We always have an initial kickoff meeting to discuss the scope, timeline, and process. Sometimes, AutoWeb Technologies works for a month and then comes back to us. Other times, meetings occur in rapid succession if the team needs quick answers in a certain development stage. We usually have meetings on Zoom.

One of the tools AutoWeb Technologies has used, which has been incredibly helpful, is 1–2 minute recorded videos. AutoWeb Technologies sends these videos as they talk through an area they’re looking at or a question we have about something we need to do in the site's backend. The team is good at giving us tools to refer back to.

AutoWeb Technologies' communication and responsiveness have been impressive.

I can't think of anything AutoWeb Technologies can improve — the project has been really smooth.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

AutoWeb Technologies is very creative, and I recommend giving them room to work. If you have questions or open-ended pieces and haven’t necessarily locked down what you envision your project to be, the team can add pieces you wouldn’t have thought of. AutoWeb Technologies can work through some solutions in a creative way. Giving the team a little room to run has been helpful because I was stuck in my head, thinking we had to do the project one way.

The project with Autowebtech involved a comprehensive rebuild of MSATP's database system, the redesign and enhancement of the organization's website, and the integration of both systems to ensure seamless functionality and an improved user experience. The scope of work can be broken down into several key areas:

1. Database Rebuild
The legacy database system, which was no longer meeting our operational needs, required a full rebuild to streamline member management and enhance data accuracy. The key elements of this portion of the project included:

Data Migration: Migrating all existing member data, event registrations, payment histories, and engagement metrics from the outdated system to the new platform.
New Database Architecture: Developing a more efficient, scalable database infrastructure to support MSATP’s growing membership base and future expansion.
QuickBooks Online Integration: Ensuring full integration with QuickBooks Online (QBO) for automated payment processing, invoice generation, and real-time financial reporting.
Subscription Model Integration: Implementing a new member subscription model that includes options for annual and monthly payments, with automatic renewals and payment notifications.
Data Reporting and Analytics: Developing custom reporting features that allow MSATP to analyze member engagement, event attendance, financial metrics, and more, with the ability to export reports for board meetings and strategic planning.

2. Website Redesign and Development
The MSATP website required a complete redesign to modernize its look, improve user navigation, and enhance functionality for both members and administrative users. Key areas of the website redesign included:

User Experience (UX) and Interface (UI) Design: Creating an intuitive, clean, and user-friendly website layout that simplifies navigation, event registration, and member portal access.
Member Portal: Developing a new, interactive member portal where users can:Update their profiles
View and register for upcoming events
Access member-only resources, such as seminar recordings and educational materials
Participate in the new community engagement platform, allowing for networking and peer discussions
Course Registration System: Integrating a streamlined course registration system that allows members to view upcoming courses and events, register with a single click, and receive automated confirmation and reminder emails.
Mobile Responsiveness: Ensuring the website is fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices to accommodate the needs of users accessing the platform on the go.

I'm the director of membership services at a fraternal organization. We're the oldest fraternity in the world; we've been in business since 1801. We have over 200,000 members throughout the world.

We needed help with web design and architecture. We had our web presence since 2000, and it was a grassroots project at that time for in-house support. As the years progressed, it grew little by little and lacked professionalism. As a result, we decided to hire an outside service because the use of technology isn't something that we are normally prone to work with quickly.

What was the scope of their involvement?
AutoWeb Technologies took our existing website and utilized portions to build our new one from scratch. The team has kept us informed along the way with the implications of every module they built. We've grown step-by-step with the services AutoWeb Technologies provides. We started with web design, and as our organization has grown in its need for an internet presence, our engagement with the team has evolved into designing apps and hosting. One of the highest points for us right now is the security of our internet access points. The team has integrated the site with MailChimp, our database, and other tools compatible with our existing database, using JavaScript, SQL, and PHP, among others.

We measure success by how many people we reach out to. AutoWeb Technologies has integrated features in our system that allow us to see our site's analytics and the percentage of our membership engagement.
How did AutoWeb Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
AutoWeb Technologies is very responsive. Some of our projects have dragged beyond deadlines, but that has been because of our organization. AutoWeb Technologies has been very supportive of educating our employees to understand how to work with them better. We communicate via phone calls, email, and Zoom. Initially, we used Basecamp, but it was a hard tool for our staff to work with. The team changed to phone calls and then merged with the entire Zoom package, helping us steer towards becoming a Zoom enterprise organization. AutoWeb Technologies has employees throughout the world, so no matter what time of the day we need support, they're always there for us.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
Ben has kept me abreast of work along the way. What I've found useful is that I'm given choices and looking at the long-term implications from a financial standpoint. Our organization has a board of directors of 33 men, and Ben has worked with us to create proposals and goes with me to the presentation. Ben is very professional and quick to respond. We've never had a program that has been this successful.
What did you find most impressive about them?
AutoWeb Technologies is responsive and quick to react to any emergencies we have. The team normally finds out we have a problem before we identify it, for instance, when our database is disconnected. The team is very good at analyzing the whole work process for everything we do.

I can't think of anything I'm disappointed with.

Have a clear definition of what you're looking for and your end goal. I suggest working with an organization like AutoWeb Technologies that can take what you try to articulate and turn it into a real project. I've thought of ideas that aren't feasible at the time, and AutoWeb Technologies underpromises and over-delivers.
