Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m in the department of corporate development for one of the largest e-game businesses and internet cafes in Europe. Our presence doesn’t stop there, as we have over 85 stores in 4 countries.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire AstroLabs, and what were your goals?

As our expansion goal includes finding opportunities internationally we needed a website that would provide a great interface for our customers as well as for our partners and franchisees.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

AstroLabs developed two new websites to represent our organization. We needed them to be unique and customized to our services. Both websites, one for Europe and one for Russia are completely custom which shows their specialty and skill set. Their internal design team created amazing graphics for our websites, showcasing that they understood our needs and mindset as an organization.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had several meetings before starting the implementation of the project. This allowed us to narrow down our goals, expectations and needs. The team helped us understand the process of the project and all the tools that they used in order to deliver the end result. That involved the websites mock-ups and wireframes for our sites. Our need for unique websites meant a custom design. We were very pleased with the first mock up and with just a few altercations we had the final result. After that the process we followed included the creation of a demo, were the final changes were implemented, before going live with the final websites.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I had the pleasure of working with Dimitra (Project Manager of the Development Department) and Alexandros (Head of the Development Department). Their team was composed of a UX designer and several developers. All of them are very professional and exceptionally organized.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have been able to expand in two more countries and find many franchisees. Our users were extremely engaged, which was a great performance metric for us.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The project management style involved one project manager from the development team, who was responsible for gathering the brief, our needs, expectations as well as collecting the material used to deliver the project. The communication tools that we used to deliver this were mostly email and communication platforms, such as slack. In the beginning we had bi-weekly meetings and one meeting after the completion of each step of the process. These meetings allowed us to understand the work done by the team and give feedback back to them.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We’re most impressed with their team’s adaptability — they work within our schedules and stick to our project scope while maintaining their attention to detail. Overall, AstroLabs meets our expectations in terms of performance and budget.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Improvement is always on the table, and AstroLabs team showed that they get this! I am eager to see their newest projects.

Καθώς η εταιρεία και το λογισμικό μας αναπτύσσονται, επεκτάθηκε η προσφορά μας σε νέες αγορές αλλά και σε ευρύτερο πεδίο. Το προϋπάρχον site μας δεν αντικατόπτριζε τη νέα μας φιλοδοξία και έκταση και, ανεπτυγμένο από γραφείο σχεδιασμού με δυνατή έμφαση στο design, ήταν δύσχρηστο και μη επεκτάσιμο χωρίς γνώση design. Ζητήσαμε λοιπόν από την Astrolabs να μας βοηθήσει με την ανάπτυξη ενός site που συνδυάζει design και χρηστικότητα, που ενδυναμώνει την προσφορά και την αυτονομία στην παρουσίαση, και μπορεί γρήγορα να αντικατοπτρίσει τις πρωτοβουλίες της ομάδας μας. Το νέο μας site με τη βοήθεια της Astrolabs μας επιτρέπει να υλοποιήσουμε τις αποφάσεις μας εύκολα και γρήγορα και δείχνει το καλύτερό, πιο ανανεωμένο μας προφίλ στους επισκέπτες.

Εμπιστευτήκαμε την Astrolabs λόγω του δυναμικού, σύγχρονου και ενημερωμένου ανθρωπίνου δυναμικού της. Γνωρίζαμε ότι θα μπορούμε να ανταλλάξουμε μοντέρνες ιδέες και ότι η ομάδα της Astrolabs θα απαντήσει στο προηούμενό μας πρόβλημα με προσαρμοστικότητα, ευκινησία και την ίδια ταχύτητα με εμάς.

Απευθυνθήκαμε στην Astrolabs για τη δημιουργία ενός σπονδυλωτού site το οποίο μπορούμε να διαχειριστούμε με αυτονομία και να λανσάρουμε εντός 3 μηνών. Καταλήξαμε μαζί στη δημιουργία ενός Wordpress site. Μέσα στην πρώτη εβδομάδα, η ομάδα της Astrolabs μας έστειλε themes που ανταποκρινόταν στα παραδείγματα design που συζητήσαμε και εντός δύο εβδομάδων, είχαμε έτοιμο theme, τον πρώτο σκελετό του site, και την αρχική σελίδα. Τις επόμενες 4 εβδομάδες, αναπτύξαμε τις βαθύτερες σελίδες του site αυτόνομα αλλά με την πολύτιμη υποστήριξη της ομάδας. Την τελευταία εβδομάδα του project, τελειοποιήσαμε τεχνικές λεπτομέρειες μέχρι το λανσάρισμα, όπου η ομάδα της Astrolabs και η τεχνική ομάδα της CarbonCloud συνεργάστηκαν άψογα για να βγει το site στον αέρα!

Οι πρώτες μας συναντήσεις έλαβαν χώρα με τoυς Γιάννη και Βασίλη που αντιλήφθηκαν το πρόβλημά μας καλύτερα ακόμη κι από μας. Η Δήμητρα μετέφρασε τις ανάγκες μας σε τεχνικές απαιτήσεις με απόλυτη λεπτομέρεια και αντίληψη και η τεχνική όμαδα με τους Αλέξανδρο και Χρήστο μας παρέδωσαν ένα τεχνικά άρτιο site ακριβώς πάνω στις προδιαγραφές και με συνέπεια. Συνεχίζουμε να συνεργαζόμαστε με την ομάδα Support της Astrolabs για τελειοποιήσεις και προσαρμογές σε νέες ανάγκες.

Μετά την υπογραφή συνεργασίας μας, η ομάδα της Astrolabs μας είχε σε συνεχή ενημέρωση σχετικά με την προόδο, με συνεκτικές ενημερωτικές συναντήσεις και παρουσίασε εξαιρετική ανταπόκριση σε νέες ανάγκες όσο το project εξελισσόταν. Η Astrolabs ήταν επίσης τρομερά υποστηρικτική στην εκπαίδευση της διαχείρισης με βασικό στόχο την αυτονομία μας στο μέλλον. Σήμερα, με την συνεργασία που έχουμε στο υποστηρικτικό κομμάτι του site, η Αstrolabs ανταποκρίνεται γρήγορα και με ακρίβεια σε όλα μας τα tickets.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Το πιο εντυπωσιακό συστατικό της Astrolabs είναι η βαθιά κατανόηση του προβλήματος των πελατών και η προσαρμοστικότητα της ομάδας στη δημιουργία λύσης. Παραλάβαμε ένα αποτέλεσμα που απαντούσε ακριβώς στις προσδοκίες και ικανότητές μας και αισθανθήκαμε ότι οι προτεινόμενες λύσεις ήταν προσαρμοσμένες ακριβώς στα μέτρα μας.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

H Astrolabs ανταποκρίθηκε τόσο γρήγορα σε κάθε ανατροφοδότηση που έκανε την κοινή μας πρόοδο στιγμιαία και οργανική.
