You do, from day one. Every 7Span contract includes a full IP assignment, and all code lives in repositories you own (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket) from the first commit, not in ours. There is no vendor lock-in and no source code escrow needed because there is nothing to release. Documentation, design files, infrastructure configuration, and credentials are yours. We work under NDA on every engagement and can sign your paper if you prefer it to ours. Handover follows a documented process under our ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system, so nothing depends on one engineer's memory.

7Span is ISO 42001:2023 certified, which is the international standard for AI management systems, and one of the few software development companies of its size to hold it. It means our AI work is governed by an audited framework covering risk assessment, data handling, model testing, human oversight, and documentation, rather than by good intentions. Our hourly rate is $25 to $49 depending on seniority and stack, and our minimum project size is $10,000. Most clients start with a paid discovery or a short fixed-scope phase before committing to a dedicated team. The senior engineer who estimates your project is the one who owns delivery, so the estimate comes from the person accountable for hitting it.

7Span guarantees a minimum 6-hour daily overlap with your working hours, whether you are in North America, Europe, Australia, or the Gulf. Overlap time is reserved for standups, planning, reviews, and live debugging. Outside of it, work continues asynchronously with documented handoffs in Jira, ClickUp, or your own tools, so you start each morning with completed pull requests and a written progress note. Communication runs on Slack or Teams for daily contact, plus a weekly written status report covering progress, risks, and decisions needed from you.
