Please describe your organization.

We're a programming company providing web development services for clients in the United Kingdom.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What business challenge were you trying to address with 2coders Studio?

We needed an iPhone app. It was going to be an application for walking. The user would simply input a walking route, and the app would guide him or her on the walk. The application would let users upload their own maps to guide them on their walks.

The app was to be developed for both iOS and Android.

How did you come to work with 2coders Studio?

They were recommended to me. They replaced a firm we had been working with in India that was not working out.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

We have spent €2,000 [approximately $2,125] working with 2coders Studio.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in May 2013. The app was delivered in October. We no longer work with them, but not because we don't like their services. They're just a bit too expensive for us now. But, they were great.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any statistics, metrics, or other feedback from this engagement?

The app was great. 2Coders Studio not only delivered what we asked for, but they also made key improvements to the app and suggested and implemented other features. The process took a bit longer than expected because they wanted to do it correctly. They went well out of the original scope, which was fine with us.

The app was downloaded a lot to begin with because we were marketing it. We got about 1,000 downloads in the first month. We live on a very small island, and a very small percentage of people on the island actually walk. An even smaller number have iPhones. The app did well. It was important to see if it would work for a broader audience in the U.K.

What distinguishes 2coders Studio from other providers?

The quality of their work was awesome.

Is there anything 2coders Studio could have improved or done differently?

As with any project, when you finish you think you should have done something different in the beginning. But, that was more a problem of our planning. They were great.
