We hired Zoondia to revamp our website. We needed a faster and more responsive website for a better customer experience with a desgin that reflets the quality of our luxury, premium products.

UI designs to into responsive HTML.

The converted HTML pages and functionalities integrated into a WordPress Content Management System (CMS).

Setting up essential SEO tags – including the title, keywords, and meta descriptions to optimize the website for search engines, followed by testing to ensure accuracy and proper display.

Configuring basic indexing settings such as sitemap.xml and robots.txt, followed by testing to confirm that search engines can crawl and index the site effectively.

Establishing Google Analytics and Google Search Console for tracking site performance, including testing to ensure correct setup and data collection.

The team prodived a professional job and support during the whole project. They were responsive all the time.

We had a few minor setbacks due to some communication issues and due to the fact that we were late sending the necessary information to the developper team.

Because of the above the project took longer than initally planned, but the final result was great. We are very happy with the quality and the functionality of the new website.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their response time was always very fast. We highly appreciated it. They were always following up on their duties. When we had a small misunderstanding because of miscommhnication, they took the time and effort to explain the problem to us and then they solved it very fast.

Are there any areas for improvement or something ZOONDIA could have done differently?

Yes, I think it would be beneficial to do more meetings during the project after completing each phase of the project, in order to ensure the optimal understanding of the next steps and the duties of both parties.

I’m a project manager at Insight Marine Survey and Services, a private company in Qatar. We support the offshore oil and gas exploration and marine sectors in Qatar. Our company has its own marine fleet, including vessels and boats. We transport oil rigs from one location to another and have offshore surveyors.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We developed an ERP module to manage our crew members working on our vessels. We needed to manage their payrolls, documents, and visas. Our managing director needed a single dashboard view of what was happening in each division. We have three divisions, and I’m handling one of them. We needed to know the current updates, leads, and contracts in each project.

We initially explained our needs to ZOONDIA. We needed a customized crew management system. They showed us some templates they had developed for other companies. We made some modifications and add-ons to those templates, and they did a good job.

They designed and developed the software and our website. For example, in our marine equipment trading department, we receive RFPs from clients. We register the RFPs, and we later convert them into quotations. The purchase and finance teams and the supply chain department are involved. It’s a complete cycle.

We used PHP to develop the software. The team provides maintenance and hosting services. They provide online and remote support.

We’re happy with the team's work. If you need support, they're very quick to give solutions or rectify any glitches. 

How did ZOONDIA perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re happy with their responsiveness. We communicate via phone calls and emails. We use Google Meet to meet with their technical team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We're impressed with their integrity and quick response. We’ve had a very bad experience with a previous company. We made a payment, but we didn’t get what they promised. The team is different from that. They have integrity, and I’m responsible for the development. I’m happy with their integrity.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re very good at chasing their payments. We go for the payments as soon as they finish a stage. We ask them to slow down, and we’ll pay them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be transparent with them. Initially, we weren’t clear about what we wanted. When we met with them, they explained things to us. We realized there was no meaning in hiding things from them, especially financial-related things. If you’re transparent, they’ll provide good support.

Our engagements with ZOONDIA normally begin with concept discussions where we determine if what we’re looking for is within their abilities. After that, they develop the requirements and functionality that we need. 

One of the projects that they have worked on with us is our booking website, which includes a payment feature. ZOONDIA was responsible for designing and developing the site; their team has also provided testing services. The website has been custom-built from scratch, allowing users to book specific stalls through an automated booking process. Key technologies include Laravel, PHP, and a payment gateway called Pin Payments. 

ZOONDIA also ensures that the site is compliant with financial rules and is secure. Another feature is that our site allows users to be refunded if they can’t make it to an event; this occurs via an encrypted token. ZOONDIA handles SEO services for both the website itself and each profile page. We’ve collaborated on keyword research and website optimization. We are currently working on updating the website to stay ahead of the curve.

We work with a project manager, an SEO specialist, and an individual who sets up server requirements. Other individuals have been behind the scenes, but we don’t interact with them.

There is a lot involved in our line of business, and ZOONDIA’s solution has been able to automate the process. Our primary success metric is that the system works and is so effective.

ZOONDIA has designed and developed the mobile app for iOS and Android from scratch. It’s a fleet and cab booking application; there’s an app for drivers and one for passengers. They’ve also designed and developed the client’s website from scratch.

They help with digital marketing, such as social media marketing. ZOONDIA provides templates and helps with SEO. Additionally, they’ve educated our clients on how to do the marketing. Now, we have a maintenance contract with them, so they continue to support us.

The apps and website are very user-friendly, and it’s never crashed, which is amazing. We’ve gotten excellent feedback from our customers and those on our side. Overall, the testing and quality of the engineers, as well as their feedback, framing method, and how they educate us to use the application have been really helpful. We’re very happy with them.

How did ZOONDIA perform from a project management standpoint?

We have weekly review meetings, and they immediately respond to our emails and calls. Also, their team meets deadlines 95% of the time. The 5% delay was from the third-party integration with a payment gateway API.

We use Zoom, email, calls, and WhatsApp as tools for the project. We have a WhatsApp group to include our client, their engineers, our project manager, their project manager, their business analyst, and even their CEO.

First, we provided ZOONDIA with a spec and explained our goals. We collaborated to create milestones, discussed a database, and worked from our basic wireframe to come up with content, design application, and all the details for the website.

They’re currently providing frontend development and design of the website using JavaScript, Node.js, and Crypto.js. They were also involved in creating the theme of our site. The site has a basic landing page with a login and sign-in screen. Our existing customers can register on the website. The ultimate goal is to use this database for future vendors and investors.

Some of the features and functionalities are two-factor authentication, user management, account creation, and membership association. There are also dashboards for investors and for promoters.

I feel reassured in their experience and understanding of our industry; They used an encrypted library without us having to request it. We’re happy with the timeline they finished the first phase, the quality of their code, and the fact that they are open to learning new technologies we suggest. I also really like that they ask a lot of appropriate questions in order to do their best for us.

How did ZOONDIA perform from a project management standpoint?

We collaboratively handle project management. They’re proactive, communicative, and they keep us updated weekly. The team finished the first phase a few days ahead of the estimated timeline, which was great. Google Chat is our most dynamic tool, which we use daily. We use Google Meet and Zoom for meetings. We also use and email occasionally for business items we need to discuss.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They do clean work, including their deployment framework. The way they develop modules could be reviewed with another company if necessary, and they could easily pick it up and continue the work.

As we move forward, I would like to see the team research and draw from their expertise to propose solutions for technology on different aspects, such as a payment system for the website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ZOONDIA designed and developed our mobile and web apps. Initially, a person from their team came to our office, and we gave them guidelines to follow. Then, they designed the web app in Laravel, integrating a payment gateway. Additionally, they designed and built our website from scratch for hosting the app in it.

On the other hand, ZOONDIA developed our mobile app for iOS and Android. People can send cash to six different countries through our apps, and we have a template to enable more countries in the future. In addition to that, they provided us with a video manual.

ZOONDIA has helped us with some Facebook marketing campaigns as well, and they offered SEO services, but we didn’t acquire them. They also have API, security, AWS, and cloud hosting knowledge.

ZOONDIA is a good vendor, and we haven’t faced any issues. They make any changes that we request and explain everything to us. Additionally, they’re professional and offer great customer service.

Their team knows what they’re doing, and our apps haven’t faced any critical failures. When we had payment gateway issues with timeouts, their payment gateway team contacted us and solved them. They handled it in a proper manner.

How did ZOONDIA perform from a project management standpoint?

ZOONDIA has met our deadlines. They always respond whenever I post an issue in our WhatsApp group and provide us with reports.

I haven’t had the chance to visit their office, but we communicate through email, Zoom, phone calls, and WhatsApp.

ZOONDIA has technical expertise and knowledge in their field. They look at all the areas around security and delivery, and they make sure that they’re properly channeling everything.
