We needed help with mobile app development and web design for one of our partners.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ZOONDIA has designed and developed the mobile app for iOS and Android from scratch. It’s a fleet and cab booking application; there’s an app for drivers and one for passengers. They’ve also designed and developed the client’s website from scratch.
They help with digital marketing, such as social media marketing. ZOONDIA provides templates and helps with SEO. Additionally, they’ve educated our clients on how to do the marketing. Now, we have a maintenance contract with them, so they continue to support us.

We had a four-year long-term relationship. We took offers from 10 different companies, but we negotiated and worked out the price with them. ZOONDIA had very talented engineers in each technology.

The apps and website are very user-friendly, and it’s never crashed, which is amazing. We’ve gotten excellent feedback from our customers and those on our side. Overall, the testing and quality of the engineers, as well as their feedback, framing method, and how they educate us to use the application have been really helpful. We’re very happy with them.

We have weekly review meetings, and they immediately respond to our emails and calls. Also, their team meets deadlines 95% of the time. The 5% delay was from the third-party integration with a payment gateway API.
We use Zoom, email, calls, and WhatsApp as tools for the project. We have a WhatsApp group to include our client, their engineers, our project manager, their project manager, their business analyst, and even their CEO.

First, we provided ZOONDIA with a spec and explained our goals. We collaborated to create milestones, discussed a database, and worked from our basic wireframe to come up with content, design application, and all the details for the website.
They’re currently providing frontend development and design of the website using JavaScript, Node.js, and Crypto.js. They were also involved in creating the theme of our site. The site has a basic landing page with a login and sign-in screen. Our existing customers can register on the website. The ultimate goal is to use this database for future vendors and investors.
Some of the features and functionalities are two-factor authentication, user management, account creation, and membership association. There are also dashboards for investors and for promoters.

We collaboratively handle project management. They’re proactive, communicative, and they keep us updated weekly. The team finished the first phase a few days ahead of the estimated timeline, which was great. Google Chat is our most dynamic tool, which we use daily. We use Google Meet and Zoom for meetings. We also use and email occasionally for business items we need to discuss.

They do clean work, including their deployment framework. The way they develop modules could be reviewed with another company if necessary, and they could easily pick it up and continue the work.

ZOONDIA designed and developed our mobile and web apps. Initially, a person from their team came to our office, and we gave them guidelines to follow. Then, they designed the web app in Laravel, integrating a payment gateway. Additionally, they designed and built our website from scratch for hosting the app in it.
On the other hand, ZOONDIA developed our mobile app for iOS and Android. People can send cash to six different countries through our apps, and we have a template to enable more countries in the future. In addition to that, they provided us with a video manual.

Their team knows what they’re doing, and our apps haven’t faced any critical failures. When we had payment gateway issues with timeouts, their payment gateway team contacted us and solved them. They handled it in a proper manner.

They’ve built everything from member portals to e-commerce sites. Typically, I’ll send them a request regarding the site map, wireframes, and additional information. They return with an estimate for the project, and I determine if we should move forward based on that.
When they’re responsible for the design, they send me their work iteratively. Once I approve it, we move into the development phase. I test their HTML work as well, requesting changes as needed. Once they have the code looking just right, they migrate it into whatever platform they’re using. In the end, they handle QA before launching the project.

I work with 1–3 project managers directly. At times, I’ll also get involved with the rest of the team assigned to a project.

What was the scope of their involvement?
We’re often building a suite of projects for my clients: apps for Android and iPhone, websites, backend development, and social media integration. It’s a turnkey service. ZOONDIA has helped me build apps for multiple platforms ranging from $50,000 to $2 million. They’ve also developed websites in WordPress, Drupal, PHP, and other technologies. It really depends on the client.
Once I gather my requirements for a client’s project, I hand them over to ZOONDIA. They create architecture documents, art screens, and codebases. They help us every step of the way from feature development to the app store launch.
When it comes to SEO, ZOONDIA is responsible for keyword research, development, and integration. They track Google Analytics to make sure each campaign is performing as expected. Most recently, we’ve had them do Google Ads integration and a Google Console setup.
For digital marketing, ZOONDIA manages accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. They create and push content, link between the content sources, and integrate designs from relevant mobile apps.

For SEO, we have two people. One does the campaign set-up and research while the other person makes sure everything’s done. I’ve worked with a lot of developers over the years and never found one that worked out really well. ZOONDIA’s team works hard. They deliver what they’re going to deliver, and if there is a mistake or anything they missed, they stick to our original fixed-price agreement. Their priority is to make the product is good and delivered professionally.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CIO of a boutique consultancy where I work with a variety of customers on new development projects.
What challenge were you trying to address with ZOONDIA?
I hired them for development services. They’ve been my go-to organization for web and mobile development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ZOONDIA has worked with me on multiple projects. The biggest project we worked on was a year-long project that involved front- and backend development of a web app and an iOS and Android mobile app. All the work they’ve done has been customer-facing.
They work with me on the full development cycle, working on technical design, screen design, development, QA, deployment, and sometimes ongoing support.
How did you come to work with ZOONDIA?
I was looking for a new development partner. I had a lot of experience in India, I speak Hindi, and I had used outsourced resources for many years in different contexts. I chose about four different companies, but I ended up going with ZOONDIA.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $250,000–$500,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in the second or third quarter of 2015. The Coronavirus pandemic has certainly changed things, but we’re still working with them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The metric we measure is whether or not we meet the deliverables, and ZOONDIA has been consistently good at that. We haven’t done any stress test measurements, but the bug rate has been very low both internally and externally reported.
How did ZOONDIA perform from a project management standpoint?
I’ve typically been the project manager for the engagement, but they have an internal lead who directly manages their development resources. We develop the project plans together, and they have some input into the dates and deliverables. They’re responsive on the phone and via email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their professionalism distinguishes them from other service providers. Additionally, they have experienced teammates.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I have no suggestions. I like how they do their work, and their portfolio technologies continue to grow. I’m a happy customer because they’ve made me look good in front of my clients.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You need good project management on your side, and you need to be very clear about what you want. Additionally, you should hold yourself to high standards as well. The projects that fail are the ones where the client doesn’t know what they want.

I’m the CTO of a development agency. We create websites and mobile apps.
What challenge were you trying to address with Zoondia?
We were looking for a technical team of engineers to complete our projects.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Zoondia provides both resource augmentation and a full-on team. We create the platform architecture and the UI/UX and then send it to Zoondia to execute the development. We’ve managed a few major projects in the healthcare industry with their team.
One project was a portal for physicians and patients. Zoondia helped build the backend that the physicians access. Another project was an e-commerce mobile platform that physicians can use to recommend procedures. We also built a hospice industry platform that’s tied to electronic medical records and can be used on an Android device or tablet. Lastly, we created a tool for screening and assessing mental health conditions.
We’ve used a variety of technologies, including Java, Angular, Python, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and WooCommerce.

I found them on Upwork before it was called Upwork.

Our partnership stated in January 2010 and is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The biggest success is that we’ve been able to work together for 10 years and create multiple projects together that have launched and are still working. We’ve had our ups and downs. Like any other development team, we’ve gotten good engineers and bad engineers. I rotate them out depending on how well they execute.
How did Zoondia perform from a project management standpoint?
We handle all the major lifting. It’s not the easiest, to be honest. Managing an offshore team. It requires a lot of oversight and strict management. We use scrum tactics to make sure they complete projects on time. That’s what’s made us successful. If you don’t have strong management, it’ll be hard to oversee an offshore team.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have a solid work ethic and easy access to good developers. They’re willing to work around the clock and on weekends to complete projects. That’s one of their strengths.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Their project management is one side where they’re lacking. Also, our company always looks forward and tries new technologies, and we constantly have to tell them what tech and tech expertise to look for. It’s something they don’t do on their own; we have to tell them to do that. Lastly, I’d recommend that they improve their communication flow.
Any advice for potential customers?
Have a strong technical team in-house that knows how to manage offshore resources.

We needed a wealth dashboard that can give us a full view of our investment and the status and position of each company we are investing in. Each company CFO updates his/her company position either on daily basis, monthly basis or connects it to their ERP dashboard. With that, we can see the position of each company and intervene if needed to make the right decision at the right time.

Zoondia provided a very comprehensive dashboard with standard API that allowed us to connect the system to all companies ERP system and have a user dashboard with communication-based on investment allowing full transparency of the investment and profile

Zoondia is to propose the process of setting both app and web-based platforms allowing companies to enter their data Zoondia provided executive and board dashboard to show financial indications of each company and highlight any red flag or great achievements.

Excellent results within six months of implementation, three months of review and changes, and additional three months of support.

Communication was very good with the vendor and they provide the right tools and languages with a multi-language setup of the platform.
