Yudiz Solutions provides me with mobile app and web development. First, I gave them a brief outline of the app and provided them with the wireframes from the designer. They created the user flow of every screen and built the app for iOS and Android. They’ve also built a website for me. They came up with the web design based on my branding and the app’s screens. Currently, they still handle development items for me.

I’ve worked with a sales manager, a project manager, and a team of developers. There are bout 5–6 people from Yudiz Solutions I’ve come to know. 

How did you come to work with Yudiz Solutions?

The person who designed the app recommended Yudiz Solutions and put me in touch with them. I wanted someone I could trust and that would deliver. They gave me a fixed price for the project, which was helpful because I had budget constraints. Additionally, they created the most amazing spec and outline of what they would do for me. This spec blew me away because they put a lot of effort into it without any commitment from me. 

I was speaking to them and another firm at the same time. Ultimately, I felt like Yudiz Solutions was a good match due to the recommendation from the designer, their ethos, and the effort they put into winning the deal. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $26,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Yudiz Solutions' work is amazing. The breeding app is subscription-based, and it already has 151 downloads. I only had to do very cursory testing before launching the app because it was so good, and it has had no crashes since its launch. Yudiz Solutions is extremely reactive when I have a problem. Their attention to detail is outstanding, and I'd highly recommend them. 

The team is also very responsive, even with the time difference, because they're in India and I'm in the UK. Even on weekends, they'll pull resources to help me out when something is critical for me. In exchange for that support, they know they have my loyalty. I'll always work with them — they're my chosen partner. 

How did Yudiz Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is second to none. They set milestones and consistently deliver early. When they call for a team meeting or a quick meeting for clarification, they're always on time. If I want to talk to them, they always accommodate me. 

We use Basecamp for project management; every time they update us about the progress, I get an alert, so I'm always well-informed. As for communication, we use WhatsApp as our fastest channel, and our meetings are via Zoom. At first, I worried we'd have a language barrier. However, we've had no problems at all. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm impressed by Yudiz Solutions' all-around ability and breadth of knowledge; they've built the website end-to-end and worked on my app. They have expertise and communication skills in-house, and it's at the right price point. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't criticize them on anything.

I'm not that technical, and they worked with me and got the information out of me. Therefore, keep your lines of communication open with Yudiz Solutions because they'll readily talk things through. If you're non-technical like me, don't be frightened; they'll help you every step of the way.

We released the app in July 2022 and currently have 1,500 users. Since the business model is pretty complex, we’ve had many bugs and crashes. However, they deal with them quickly.

How did Yudiz Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve run over some deadlines, but that’s due to the app’s complexity. We initially used Basecamp for project management, but we’re not using Asana. Communication is through email and calls as needed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're really invested in our company and what we're trying to achieve. They're not scared of tackling a new way of doing things.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We need more communication from them. Sometimes they might not understand what we explain, so they might interpret it differently. It’d be good if they came back to ask more questions.

Thanks to Yudiz Solutions’ work on the apps, we have around 40,000 users, 50,000 signups, and over 60,000 downloads in just one city. We have 250 couriers, and our database supports 1,500 total couriers. With over 300 business partnerships, we’ve fulfilled over 34,000 orders. 

Additionally, the team has been great at reducing bugs in the apps. Since we couldn’t hire a QA team due to our budget, we tested the app ourselves before going to market and experienced many bugs in the beginning. I give Yudiz Solutions full credit on getting used to the app and understanding its ins and outs, given that they didn’t build it from scratch, and they’ve continued the code from a previous provider.

How did Yudiz Solutions Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Jira for project management, where we set tasks that we update every two weeks. Yudiz Solutions has a tech lead who manages their developers, and we have a project manager on our side. As for communication, we use Slack, Google Meet, email, and sometimes Trello for the designers. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Yudiz Solutions is professional and responds quickly if there’s any problem. Their backend developer is amazing; he controls the app and saves us time, which is a big part of why we continue our relationship with Yudiz Solutions.

Additionally, they didn’t increase their fees due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While many companies changed their contracts, Yudiz Solutions has kept their contract from 2020, which is great. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could use a productivity tracker to inform us how many hours the developers are working to help me control the project. I’m busy with other sides of the business and often multitask, so I would appreciate it if Yudiz Solutions could email us a monthly or weekly report to know how the developers are doing and who’s losing time or browsing other sites.

I was impressed by their patience and responsiveness. If we didn’t like something, they would change it, no questions asked. We never had an argument with them and they were very polite. They were wonderful to work with.

Perhaps between presenting the design and building the site, they could have given us a little style guide. Other than that, they were great.

We went through different company profiles in the interent and called them including emailing. the selection process was not easy. We read the thousands of reviews. Among all the companies we interviewed ,Yudiz was outstanding with a good team that knew their job and what the clients need.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.

I went through social media marketing, network marketing, and seminars, and I acquired a lot of users within three months of going live. However, my application was later completely hacked. There was an intrusion in the database, and I immediately got in touch with AWS to understand what had happened.

After the audit done by a couple of consultants I contracted—along with the AWS consultants—it appeared that the application hadn’t been properly deployed to the servers. Their report noted that there’s an instance in AWS that should’ve been used to protect and back up the database. The Yudiz engineer who deployed the application didn’t deploy the database, so it wasn’t sitting in the instance of AWS. For this reason, I lost all my users and my application.

It had a huge impact on my business. I lost all the users I’d acquired over time. Yudiz deployed the application, but they didn’t close the port, so everyone could access the database through FTP. That was indicated by AWS, which sent me a couple of emails. Yudiz didn’t deploy the database into the Relational Database Service (RDS) instance of AWS. They kept the database on their servers, but without backup.

The application is completely buggy, and I’ve closed it on the app stores. All the effort I spent over 18 months in order to get this business started is gone. This was because of a simple mistake that could’ve been prevented if Yudiz had deployed the application jointly, in a secure RDS instance, and had closed the port. I’m very frustrated. I’ve lost my business.

I spoke to an agent of a privacy office, and I got in touch with all the users I could, which has been time-consuming for me. I shared the code with two auditors, and they told me it was buggy. It’s difficult to ask a company to jump in and work on the code from another developer. Every company I approached proposed starting from scratch, which may also be because they wanted a larger contract. I’ve already spent around £35,000 on this project, not only for Yudiz’s work, but for everything around it, from the website to marketing, the AWS infrastructure, and all the privacy office fees I had to pay.

How did Yudiz respond to any issues that arose?

I forwarded the emails I received from AWS to the CEO of Yudiz, and he told me it wasn’t their responsibility. I tried to communicate with them so they could repair my issue. It was difficult to make Yudiz understand what was happening, so they just pushed back, saying they weren’t responsible for third-party components.

I wasn’t asking them to take responsibility on that, but they made a mistake deploying the mobile app securely to AWS without considering the guidance and instructions given by AWS for deploying the app, specifically on making sure it isn’t made open to the public.

How was project management handled?

The fixed-price contract they signed with me included a project manager, but there wasn’t one assigned. There were only a couple of developers working offshore, and I wasn’t talking to them. The communication was very difficult, as everyone was working over Skype and the connectivity was quite poor. Because there was no project manager assigned, I had to manage the developers. I didn’t even see a project management plan.

We had a very difficult relationship, they didn’t deliver up to standards, and I was coming across multiple instances of requirements taking multiple iterations to complete. It took about a year to complete a mobile app that should’ve been done in six months.

I had communication issues with their team, and the developer wasn’t very competent. My database was hacked, and I didn’t even have access to the database, which was on their servers.

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

No, I can’t think of anything.

Have they taken any steps to resolve the situation?

They told me I needed to pay them more money for them to resolve the situation. I wasn’t asking them to take on the responsibilities of AWS, but AWS isn’t responsible for databases that aren’t stored in an RDS instance.

When I approached them and asked whether they had any backups, they told me they didn’t, but that they could deploy the release they’d deployed one year ago. I told them to go ahead and do it but, when they did, there were no users anymore. It didn’t make sense to have a mobile application with zero users after 18 months, where I’d had 10,000 users before.

This company is based in India and I’m based in London, so it’s very difficult to start a legal process. I don’t want this to be repeated with other customers. It may not be a problem with Yudiz as a whole, but with one of their employees who did this incorrectly. I’m completely dissatisfied, and I don’t understand how their founder isn’t willing to come to a compromise. I’ve been completely penalized. I paid Yudiz for nothing.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

I wanted to share this information because it’s important for future clients to know that they should look at the deployment package before sending it to their hosting service. The solution went live, and we encountered several issues after that, which they tried to remediate. That was going on live, while I was acquiring users through marketing. The success of a mobile app is based on the volume of people we’re attracting.

If the client is looking to work in a fixed-price manner with an offshore team, they have to make sure there’s a collaboration platform available to exchange documents. Secondly, they should be aware of the fact that there’s a lot of handholding involved. When we’re not in direct touch with people, the communication has to be very clear, and there needs to be a real project manager involved, who’s able to monitor the activity and serve as the single point of contact for the client.

Another important aspect is to have an AWS consultant involved from day one, who can monitor what’s being done on the servers and ensure that the guidance given by AWS is respected when touching servers or changing instances.

Lastly, it’s important for clients to perform a quality check of the work before paying.

**Company Response**
The vendor responded on May 31, 2019.

The first line of the review states: "The application quickly attracted users following the launch.” This clearly speaks that we did our job well. The application worked very well after the launch. And it needs to be noted that the problem came up in April 2019, which is nine months after the launch. As per the agreement, we have agreed to support the solution until November 2018, after which the contract ended. Thereafter, the client had to go for an annual maintenance contract, which was not taken.

It also needs to be noted that the AWS credentials have been shared with other third parties. Hence, holding us responsible for the issue is not justified as a complete handover was done smoothly during sign off, after which the client made the final payment.

The issues happened because someone hacked client's computer, as a result of which the hacker got full access to everything. All other allegations like no project manager or no project management are false as we have proof of using Basecamp and a dedicated project manager assigned. The iOS and Android app was launched within six months of time as promised, and we have proof of all such false allegations.

The fact is that the client was cutting costs at every corner and also compromised security by saving a few dollars. We recommended to include the required security in AWS. We have a very well-defined process of project execution and have deployed several other projects on AWS.

In that sense, their project management is sufficient. We use Slack for day-to-day communication. There is a time zone difference between us in Poland and them in India, but they are nevertheless responsive and available.

I primarily use Yudiz Solutions for web development, which constitutes about 95% of their work. Most projects are extremely time sensitive. I give them the designs, graphics, and wireframes and describe how a product should function. They understand the requirements, my clients' needs, and the limitations I'm facing.

At times, they’ve incorporated design and UX. They’ve even sped up websites by fixing other people's mistakes. They usually use WordPress, which is compatible with their workflow and fits their PHP protocol preferences. Recently, Yudiz Solutions built a complex e-commerce site for medical cannabis. Lacking a technical background, the client wanted an easy two-step approval process to give or deny users access to the website. Beforehand, users had to fill out a long form for the client to manually audit. Yudiz Solutions built an automated solution. As the basis of a brand, it had specific requirements for administration, approval, automation, and security. With the press of a button, it sends approved recipients an email with login credentials to welcome them to the system.

After prioritizing features with the client, they broke the job into two stages and finished within a short turnaround of three weeks. Rolling out critical features first optimized the developers' time to meet the deadlines. The full framework expanded the e-commerce site to over 60 pages, not including individual product pages. The launch is on the horizon, but the client wants to let the dust settle first. After plugging in the external automation, they will add features to expand the functionality.

I mostly work with our primary account manager. Depending on availability, one of two team leads manages the 8–9 developers. Rather than a 24/7 operation, they're a team of fairly young adults with normal lives.

They're up to date on the hardware requirements and configurations. My only real metric is client satisfaction, which they deliver every time. I haven't had angry phone calls, failed projects, upset account managers, or speed bumps since we started working together. 

Yudiz Solutions' communication and capabilities are their two strongest suits. They have a good sense of the limitations that we face. Knowing how to deal with difficult clients helps them communicate appropriately. We didn't experience any cultural differences that posed problems. They had a high level of recognition at the accounts level. Even the design reflects their clear perception of the desired UX. 

How did Yudiz Solutions Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

About 90 percent of the time it's been brilliant. They adapt to my quirks and get the job done. The developers usually work 10 hours daily, but sometimes I'll have them work half a day. Communication is right on, which is generally the biggest problem with offshore agencies. Unlike teams who just nod and say yes, they take care to ensure they actually understand me. As my go-to touchstone, my account manager is the first person I speak to about any problem. They pull in other people as needed for conferences. 

The project managers stay organized and on top of the project. When I had an issue with one of the managers during the second half of the project, they found a replacement within 15 minutes. They flag any problems early on so I can cover for myself to the client or get the deadline extended. When a resource needs time off, they notify me in advance. Similarly, I tell them as soon as possible when I won't be available.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really appreciate their capacity to put up with my stringent requirements. I'm sure I'm not the easiest person to work with, especially under pressure. Even when I feel on edge, they're always good at calming me down. Knowing they will deliver alleviates my stress, which is a significant positive factor. 

Yudiz Solutions handles both people and projects very well. They understand my need to leverage the value they bring to the table while dealing with client problems. The team knows the difference between compression and server-side issues. When they've done as much as they can, they give me recommendations on how to move forward. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I'd like them to provide a broader set of design services, but I’m not sure that’s a valid request. I understand that their primary focus is app development, which I haven't used them for at all. Many of the products they build end up in the top 10 in the App Store.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be upfront, straightforward, and tell them as much as you can. Yudiz Solutions has a robust in-house management team, so don't try to manage them from your end. Tell them what you need, and they'll do a great job.

I would rate the workflow 7 out of 10, but we were often the bottleneck because of our small technical team. Our server development is outsourced to a company in Vietnam, and our ISP is in Romania. Coordinating all these teams, especially during deployment to our production servers, was challenging, but Yudiz Solutions was always happy to help. 

We used an agile, parallel structure 70% of the time. In the beginning, Yudiz Solutions didn't have a well-defined methodology, but we followed a less formal version of the Scrum best practices.

We don’t use project management tools because we’ve developed our own tracking system that’s proven quite successful. While work the project is easy to manage, we do use video because the visuals let us diagnose problems more quickly than via written documentation.

There’s an underlying element of patience in the relationship where they understand that the project needs to be completed. The team understands our needs and is communicative at all levels. The team also comprehends project specifications and instructions in non-linear workflows. No matter the hardware, if something’s wrong, Yudiz Solutions fixes the problem without issue.

Not particularly because the project is still in early days. We are looking into onboarding an editor, which would allow us to edit aerial view shots of buildings. Give them a small project at the start to see how the team responds to questions. Their team then breaks down the document to create a blueprint, summarizing the user stories, what the app would do, and how it would operate. This includes wireframes, screen flows, and designs. Afterward, we deliver the documents to the client.

Beyond mobile/web apps, they also provide key development work for AR and VR apps, specifically to train medical personnel to treat serious conditions (e.g., multiple sclerosis, trauma). Besides their technical strengths, they’re a young, honest company and are upfront about their skill set. They won’t lie to secure a project and then scurry to find the talent to back their claims. Furthermore, I appreciate that they’re always available and can have fun while working. It’s hard to find partners like that. We’ve invested a lot to forge them into what we need them to be.

They’re also exceptional communicators and collaborate well with other companies. Typically, offshore resources don’t like to share business with multiple vendors. However, Yudiz Solutions is not like that. They’re able to exchange information clearly to get everyone on the same page. Having sat in on their calls with other vendors, I’m pleased with how they communicate documents and requirements.

Are there any areas they could improve?

My only criticism is that they don’t have a lot of enterprise-level experience. That is to say, working with Fortune 500 companies and following a very rigid requirement process. They’ve written plenty of official statements of work for smaller clientele, but the requirements are usually not that hard to digest. However, our projects tend to be more difficult, so we’ve had to introduce them to higher-level engagements. We’re currently teaching them these processes, and they’re improving as they gain more experience.

The game requirements were carefully analysed by the business analyst team. After a clear project outline, the game was set for design and development. The game developers at Yudiz, designed the game using Unity 3D game engine, which supports cross platforms. The designers utilised Zbrush, for digital sculpting of characters. This made the characters look more dimensional during the game play. Grid based movement was used to move troops during the game battle.  
For a competitive structure, the developers integrated the game with Facebook and Twitter, where the players can easily share scores and invite other players to form alliances. Moreover with the in app purchase functionality the players could easily buy more resources.
