What was the business challenge that you were trying to address when you approached Yeeply Mobile?

We needed to develop new business and we needed to bring in outside help. Working with Yeeply allowed us to target major brands and large projects better.

What was the scope of the project, and can you describe the specific services they provided?

We worked on two very large projects for them for a large, major customer. Yeeply helped in account management, project management, and business development. They worked as our partners and as an extension of our team.

What was your process for selecting Yeeply Mobile?

We had known each other for quite a long time since we are both from Valencia, Spain. They have a strong, local reputation, so we decided to engage them.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

It was around $150,000 for each project.

What is the status of this engagement?

It took about 12 months for each one, and both are finished.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the results of the project, and are there any metrics you can share?

One of the projects was developed almost on time while the other suffered from delays because of several factors. Many of these factors Yeeply couldn't control. It wasn't perfect, but we can't blame Yeeply majorly for the delay.

What distinguishes Yeeply Mobile from other providers?

It's very easy to work with Yeeply Mobile. They are serious, professional, and extremely proactive. They get things done and that makes working with them easy. I can rely on them to follow through on promises, so stress is reduced during the engagement.

In hindsight, are there areas in which they could improve, or things you might do differently?

They tend to underestimate the effort it takes to develop some features of the projects. This can lead to some delays and problems.

Pammos is an IT [information technology] services company that offers technology solutions in cloud, business intelligence, telecommunications, and mobile applications.

What is your position at the company?

I'm in charge of the mobile app division of our company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What business challenge were you trying to address with Yeeply Mobile?

The primary objective was to develop a mobile game that we can promote here in Colombia to help prevent teen pregnancy. This project was initiated by the partners here at Pammos. They did this as a joint venture with Yeeply's CEO [Luis Picurelli]. That was the goal, and it was accomplished.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

Yeeply developed the mobile app from start to finish. They built the app for iOS and Android. Our partners originally came up with the game concept, but they needed someone to develop and design it. Yeeply was able to help us out with that as we always rely on their assistance for the development projects that we do here in Colombia. 

What was your process for selecting Yeeply Mobile?

Our partners were already familiar with Yeeply and their work. They had already verified their experience, knowledge, and apps that they've done in Spain. But, I wasn't the person responsible for selecting them, so I couldn't tell you much more than that.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

I can't give you anything too specific. I can tell you that the size of the project was more than $10,000.

When was the work started and completed, or is it ongoing?

When I started working here, this project had already been developed. It's been live for quite a long time in terms of mobile applications, maybe a year and a half. The project is a prototype. Here in Colombia, we adapt the app to the needs of the client that we're going to have. The prototype is complete, and if the client wants it with certain characteristics, then we adjust it. But the work is completed.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

How did Yeeply Mobile perform?

The quality of the work is excellent. Since this project is for state and government entities, sometimes there are delays as far as adapting to change. We are also currently undergoing some government change, and there's a rehiring process that can get bogged down. But, we are going to see Yeeply Mobile's work pay off in the next few years.

What distinguishes Yeeply Mobile from other providers?

Their experience and professionalism are pluses. They're quick in responding to each individual project. The service is flawless. Every time I need them, somebody is there. They work pretty much 24/7. It's a whole package of things that, as a client, you expect from your developer, and we are very satisfied with them. 

I can't really compare them regionally since the mobile app development industry here in Colombia is not that strong. That's why we hired them. We couldn't find a suitable domestic firm.

Looking back on the project, is there any area that they could improve or you would do differently?

Not really. Their work has been perfect.
