What challenge were you trying to address with Yeeply Mobile?

We had developed the English version of our iOS and Android app with one developer and we needed someone to develop the Spanish version. The challenge was to find developers who could take on the existing platform, understand the code, and further develop it because the original developer wasn’t available.

They developed the Spanish version of our iOS and Android app, using React Native for the platform. We’re still working with one of the vendors to do the maintenance and further development.

My colleague based in Spain knew of them. I liked their solution-centric approach, which meant they could try to understand our needs and find the best vendor to work with us. It was quite convenient for us as a small startup as we didn’t have to spend a lot of time selecting a vendor. I liked their approach from the get-go.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their core management was good, but the billing wasn’t always smooth and sometimes payments were late. The vendor we worked with was competent, but not very proactive. They had to be told what to do and needed a bit more guidance. However, even though we were a small customer, we were treated like an important one—any issues were addressed quickly.

How did Yeeply Mobile perform from a project management standpoint?

We had three-way communication between Yeeply Mobile, us, and the vendor they chose for us. I give them four out of five for meeting deadlines and the communication was good. They’re very personable so I’ll keep working with them for additional needs. They always try to find a solution for me.

What did you find most impressive about them?

If I had any questions or urgencies, they responded quickly and that impressed me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should make sure that billing is done smoothly. The platform is good but there could be more functionalities on the tool, as well as a bit more collaboration for multiple people to interact live around the project management.

What challenge were you trying to address with Yeeply Mobile?

We needed help to develop our mobile app. The platform is for amateur athletes to make their business more professional. It provides insights into their statistics and allows them to book journeys more easily. Organizations can access the admin panel for the whole season and invite sponsors.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed the mobile app, creating a unique auto-bot to gain agreement from all the players. If they access the app, everything is included, in terms of their statistics, bookings, and performance.

The bot was important in order to manage the amount of data and to book with our official partners. It worked automatically so that players have an easier and quicker customer journey when using our tool.

I have contact with two people, and there are eight people working on the project in total.

I did research online and made a list of three companies. Yeeply was the quickest to respond and the most professional, so we decided to try them for four months. They did a great job and gave us the confidence that we can trust them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everything was done well, and we have a big launch event coming up very soon. Users will see the quality and the insides of our tool—how we can help and manage everything. If it works well, we’re going to expand into other sports too.

I’m in contact with one person constantly. They understand issues if there are any and the communication is great. They’re professional and fast, both in the work and with feedback.

We receive what we ask for, and generally, they do everything we want. It’s been really great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The logo and the branding are really good and more than we expected. They found a way to make it relevant, which was important to me because I can’t afford to keep reinvesting. They did an amazing job with the auto-bot and social media feed, where we can include some hashtags and automatic updates.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The results have been very good. Being able to meet all deadlines and having the agility to make fast changes are two challenging aspects in the development world, but they’ve been able to deliver both. They’ve always met our expectations regarding project quality. Their communication skills are also excellent.

We use project management tools, but they vary depending on which developer we work with. We also use email and phone calls, which have allowed us to keep good track of timing. They always meet deadlines.

They’re very responsive and quick to find the best team. They’re also very fast to follow up during all the processes. They’re supportive in terms of both management and final results. They always stick around after we launch a project to monitor performance, unlike other companies who just deliver and forget about it.

They developed WordPress websites adapted to our needs. I believe they used CSS for programming.

There was one developer and two people involved with SEO. Their country manager was our main contact.

A very successful entrepreneur in Spain referred us to them. We evaluated them for the website project and compared them with another company. Their price was lower and I felt like I could trust them. It’s worked very well so far.

We’ve been working with them since May of last year in an ongoing relationship. We had a good experience with the website project so we plan on assigning more work to them in the future.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We didn’t do any kind of marketing or web optimization before. I can’t compare their work to our previous website because it was built in a different environment and wasn’t easily optimizable. However, we have seen higher traffic in the last three months and our clients have commended our change in image, as well as our improvements around website usability.

How did Yeeply Mobile perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Basecamp. They were very well organized and I felt confident throughout the project. They were always communicating. We only experienced one delay during the summer, but they were still in touch to try and keep everything on track. Overall, the engagement went very well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their organization was impressive. The way they communicated with us and amongst themselves during the project was also great. It was easy to work with them and they have a very good team. Their capabilities prevented us from having to look for SEO services somewhere else.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I didn’t hire them for design, but I think they could benefit from adding someone in that area.

We work on visual communications and merchandising in the retail world. We specialize in the point-of-sale, or when the buyer is deciding to buy products in stores. Previously, we were not a digital or technology-focused company and we are now based on latest trends like omnichannels and converging online and offline experiences to compete with players like Amazon, for example. The firm decided to open a new line of business at the digital level to continue doing visual communication and merchandising at stores. We are exploring ways to work with all types of technologies like AR/VR, mobile applications and facial recognition to become leaders in visual communication and merchandising through digital platforms in stores.

What challenge were you trying to address with Yeeply Mobile?

I’m working with Yeeply on three different projects at the moment. One will allow us to create a more impressive in-store experience for the buyer while also having a social media impact.

The second project focuses on our core business objective: a digital platform for liquor sales management. It will send notifications to the client and create proximity campaigns.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first project incorporates augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) features and will be replicable for different clients and through various platforms to generate in-store merchandising. Yeeply worked with us to quickly create an minimum viable product (MVP) for the client. They’re now responsible for full development.

They’re very flexible in working with various technologies, including Oracle, SQL, Android, and iOS. They’ve used Unity and other related technologies for the AR/VR development.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with three developers, a CTO, a frontend developer, and a backend developer. They allow us to hire a technical director by the hour. It’s all very transparent. I’m unsure if they’re using more developers.

An advisor introduced us to different companies. The company’s relationship with Yeeply started before I arrived. I’ve looked at other companies who offer similar services and haven’t found anyone better as far as cost and responsiveness goes. We have a mid- to long-term relationship for all of our projects right now.

We’ve been working together since 2017 and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The AR app development is ready and we can show the MVP to clients. They’re able to see the power of using AR in creation of a merchandising and marketing campaign at the point of sale. We’d like to show it to other potential clients. We’ve also showed it to the board and investment group who have both liked it a lot. I’m very grateful for Yeeply’s work.  

How did Yeeply perform from a project management standpoint?

You can always call Yeeply and receive a response. They create a series of milestones. During the last 3-week iteration of the AR app, they sent progress updates and various app versions with improvements for approval. They keep us updated via email or phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to understand what you need makes them stand out. Their quality, access to talented developers, and technical team are all great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have no complaints or problems with their work so far.

Their communications were very good. Everything was synchronized with Agile-type tools and ran fluidly. If we needed anything, Yeeply immediately responded.

My company is called Costa del Code. Our company’s mainly looking for work to do with apps. That’s the main reason we contacted Yeeply. We are located in London. I am the Co-founder and CEO.

Our original objective was to build apps, but then because of the lack of IT skills within our company, we decided we needed to hire someone to help with development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our skills in pure development were very basic. That’s the reason why we were looking for some help. We started looking for companies, freelancers all across the world. We wanted to have native language developers as well as a backend administrator and creator. They managed to find a team for that. We developed the app on iOS and are looking forward to Yeeply developing a version on an Android platform. They also managed to find someone who could help us with design and ASO. That was great.

We found them on the web though we had tons of referrals. We first contacted them online. It quickly became clear that they could rid us of a number of problems we were experiencing.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

In terms of KPI - times were pretty accurate. That’s why I’m 95% happy with them. There was a very small amount of bugs – bugs that are very difficult to detect.

How did Yeeply Mobile perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve very happy with them. They [Yeeply Mobile] were in every single meeting.

What did you find most impressive about Yeeply Mobile?

They have a large network in both Spain and South America. We liked that.

Are there any areas Yeeply Mobile could improve?

There’s always room for improvement. We had a little delay on the project. It was projected to take two and a half months but ended up taking three months. It was, however, both of our faults.

We required Yeeply for a web and mobile development project for a big client of ours. We needed a reliable development company that specialized in building apps, that was affordable, and would be on-time.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Yeeply provided consulting to narrow down the scope of the project, design mockups, and prototype. After that, Yeeply exclusively carried out all the web and mobile development of the project, including a Drupal website and an iOS & Android hybrid app. They included features such as GPS, access to a camera for reporting issues, and it was accessible in multiple languages. The project is for a well-known park in Valencia.

Yeeply is local, which we felt was a bonus since then we had more control over the development. We had heard positive things about Yeeply and decided to approach them in order to get a budget. It turned out to be the best option.

The project is completed. The website is up and running, while the apps are just waiting for final client reviews in order to be uploaded to the mobile stores.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

I don’t have any metrics or stats, but I can say that we were not sure that hybrid development for this project was going to be the best solution. However, the apps are running well and everything is running smooth.

They did a great job. Timing is one of the most important things for our client and Yeeply delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive about Yeeply?

I think the community of programmers they have is their strongest point. They can do almost any kind of project thanks to a talented pool of certified developers, designers, and marketing specialists. They assemble highly-skilled teams for any project, and their project managers have good management of the projects.

The project was delivered on time with no extra costs, so there is nothing we feel could have been better.

We needed help in developing the app for our service.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

Yeeply has worked on the design and is now developing the software. They've shown an understanding in how our product can be translated into an app and how we can best develop it, making it user-friendly and having a clear differentiation between renters and owners.

Our product manager has always been by our side, enabling us to understand what we needed to develop. We had to make a choice between having a native or a hybrid app and needed to determine what chat functionalities needed to be featured in it. Their consultation help was important.

How did you come to work with Yeeply Mobile?

Their founder and I are both members of TechHub. We linked through that portal and started talking. I compared their pricing to other companies, and they were the most competitive option. We decided to choose them.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

The total development cost for the project has been $17,000. Their pricing was fair from the beginning, and they allowed us room for negotiation.

What is the status of this engagement?

We're still in the development phase, but design has been completed. The project is expected to end within a month.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

The design made by Yeeply was done professionally and delivered on time. I've been satisfied with them, and I've recommended their company to a few other startups.

We've shared the app design with around 100 people and received mostly positive feedback. Some people had comments for it, but no one said that it was designed badly. Most feedback was to do with small details.

How did Yeeply Mobile perform from a project management standpoint?

We've had a project manager as a point of contact. He stayed focused on our project for its duration and has always been objective, pointing out design elements which needed to be changed.

What distinguishes Yeeply Mobile from other providers?

I was not satisfied at all with my previous developer. Yeeply have been the complete opposite.

The design of our app has been straightforward. I would have liked to see a more detailed version of it.

Yeeply has helped us to find an app development partner. I was required by the marketing department to develop a soccer game app to be linked to the LFP La Liga license, featuring in-app purchases. The project is meant as a long-term partnership with La Liga and should have as few errors as possible. 

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

Yeeply has helped us to find a developing partner and supervised the project from the beginning through to delivery.

We've had a good relationship with Hector [Badal, COO of Yeeply Mobile]. He participated in all our conference calls, and he worked with us on presentations, and gave suggestions on the best direction to take with the game. 

La Liga is one of our most important licensors, so we pay special attention to them. It's not a typical experience, and it has been a good project.

How did you come to work with Yeeply Mobile?

La Liga advised us to contact them. We looked at other suppliers, but Yeeply gave us the best quotes, 40 percent less than their competitors. Being Spanish, they are also physically close to us.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

It was a medium-sized project for us. We don't typically develop mobile games. More than the cost, the people who were involved in the project are essential.

What is the status of this engagement?

I will definitely work with them in the future. We're having budget conversations at this time. This proves that we are happy with them.

We are happy with Yeeply. They are good and inexpensive. They are very good for medium-sized projects, and follow them from beginning to the end.
