We are working on brand presens in order to enahce the brand image and give a notion to the prospective clients what is this like to work with EduLab and utilize the brand services. Xplora is our consultant, idea generator and operator on most of this what we do in the social space. Xplora set up all the necessary architecture in a way to gather the data that is very much needed to navigate our business. We trust Xplore based on the speed of exectution of all the tasks we set up for each period. 

Additionally we value the work with Xplora based on the advice we have each time when we hit the limits of our understanding towards the market, and the behavior of our folllowers. Explora is gatehring, next is analysing and providing all these to use in order to be able to take informative decision for our next step. I feel the work with Xplora valuable also for the fact that advice, and support is personalized. It is exactly to us.. 

We do not get something generic, that we may have from internet or the books. All the work given to our business based on the contract is well though in advance, analysed and presented to us in order to have our final decdion as to how we want to contienue. Therefore, working with Xplora is extremelly effective for us.

One mesasurable outcome is the increase of the followers and customer base in the first six months after we started working. Next, the engagement of followers and not followers with the brand has increased. We are having covnersations, questions, of course more likes, and more shares of our posts. These all point to the successful work. We are having enhanced brand awareness among the public and this also is based on the together work with Xplora.

We have assigned project manager. The project manager is working directly with us. The project manager has a team of four members involved in the operative implementation on the main tasks that are set up in our contract. There is a specialist in SEO, specialist in creating visuals, specialist in digital content, and specialist in digital strategy. Thus, Xplora team is able to respond to the current metrics and adjust our campaigns on the go. 

Xplore deliver always on time! We have never delayed! Team Xplora is flexible and responds quickly on needs that sometimes we may have placed in the last moment. I found team Xplora capable to understand our needs and advise us in a way that we are able to utilize opportunities that we otherwise may not see.

We organised a pitch and invited 5 agencies with proven track record on the market. Explora were the distinct winner with clear vision and strategy on our business for the next 12 months, marketing view on what is realistic to be achieved in terms of KPIs, timely proposal and great presentation during the pitch. Reasonable agency fee and experienced team was another advantage.

Explora handled Microsoft Bulgaria social media from day one as their own with professionalism and right digital approach. The forecasts were overdelivered in the first 3 months in terms of traffic, reach and views. Promos of events and other activities which came ad hoc were also blended into the initial strategy and constant ideas were proposed on how to upgrade our social media presence. Reporting and analysis were provided on a monthly basis with clear call to action points.

Year over year, the overall lead generation has increased several times since we started working with Xplora. We have also seen an increase in traffic from AdWords and other paid media. Constant growth of our audiences and very good results in terms of CTR and budget efficiency.

The communication is very easy, comfortable and seamless. They have very short responsive time and strictly observe deadlines. All the conversations are productive and I genuinely feel like they understand our business and want to help. We wanted to do an audit of our marketing tools to understand whether or not we are tracking everything correctly. Together with that, we were looking for ideas on how and what to do to increase the conversion rate of ticket purchases for our annual event.

The team at Xplora very quickly pinpointed some major issues in our "infrastructure" as they call it. Because of that we were not able to track conversion correctly thus we didn't have a clear picture of what and how successful we are. What's more, the team at Xplora created a strategy for us / series of campaigns / that we were able to execute afterwards.

Xplora first did an audit of our tools. Once everything was set correctly (they have given us the instructions for this and audited it again), we moved on to discuss what audiences we should market to and how. The team there created a very comprehensive plan on what needs to be done and how that was later on executed by our internal marketing department.

We weren't able to do as much as we needed because we were very limited on time. We had just a week or so to experiment with Xplora's strategy. However, I am sure that if we had to do a deeper dive and spend more time and resources there, the results would have been there.

What challenge were you trying to address with XploraBG?

We wanted to reflect the market, and with the decline of the popularity of traditional media, we needed to switch to social media to be in more active dialogue with our customers. We started a discussion on how we could optimize our social media channels to better reflect what we were doing, boost the narrative with our customers and stakeholders, and gain more exposure.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

XploraBG helps us with social media marketing (SMM) through LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. They’re focused on helping us achieve our predefined metrics for social media presence. At the start of the year, we set KPIs for the rest of the year to measure where we are and what we’d like to achieve. 

Based on those measurements, we discuss with XploraBG what can be done, what new channels we can leverage throughout this period, and how to achieve the KPIs. Then, the team works with another provider of ours that is focused on the communication side. They collaborate to create assets that will drive more engagement in terms of content, structure, and format. We’ve implemented new post formats to see how they work, such as video narratives. Our other provider is the one that then publishes the content. 

Meanwhile, XploraBG monitors our social media statistics. They help us optimize our reach and enable us to provide the newest content to our predefined key target groups. We continue exploring new wares of improvement and target areas with them.

What is the team composition?

Usually, I deal with an account manager. However, when I want to change something strategic or explore new opportunities, I contact one of XploraBG’s managing partners.

How did you come to work with XploraBG?

I asked for agency references from colleagues working in the Bulgarian market. Based on these references, I shortlisted a number of companies, and XploraBG was on this list. After meeting with all shortlisted companies, I narrowed down our options to a top three and ultimately decided to pick XploraBG.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July of 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thanks to XploraBG’s work, we’ve more than tripled our social media engagement in the last year, based on our KPIs. My team feels quite comfortable working with them, and I’ve never received negative feedback. On the contrary, working with XploraBG makes our team happy about knowledge and know-how exchange.

How did XploraBG perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management point of view, they’re quite accurate. I haven’t had any issues with them regarding deliverables or deadlines. 

Given that I’m very busy and usually have back-to-back meetings, the most convenient way to communicate has been to give them a brief phone call daily. If we’re talking about strategy or programming, we schedule meetings through Microsoft Teams. Before the COVID-19 pandemic started, we used to meet in person.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What’s most impressive about XploraBG is that they go beyond the scope of their work. Their expertise in social media is really impressive, too. I also see a clear trend of them promoting their knowledge. They’ve established Xplora Academy, through which they share their expertise, teaching wide groups of people how social media works, its benefits, weak points, and strategy. 

XploraBG interacts with social media developers through the academy, which is highly valuable. After such close contact with the source, they will provide better services and estimations or forecasts about how trends will develop. Based on this information, we’ll be able to adjust our strategy. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there isn’t anything they need to improve; they’re doing great. Of course, XploraBG is facing the challenges all companies are suffering at the moment, including reassessment of communication budgets and having to rethink social media presences. However, I believe they’re doing great and looking ahead at what’s coming. My only recommendation would be not to lose their speed.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

First of all, I would 100% recommend XploraBG as a potential partner. This depends on the company, so you should have your goals clear to see whether XploraBG can enable you to achieve them. Although the team is extremely professional, they’re not a silver bullet; you should provide the narrative and the visual aspect. 

Having clarity about what you want to achieve will facilitate quite a lot of work on both sides, and it will give you the chance to go beyond the results you’re targeting. If you don’t have clarity, you lose speed and focus. I recommend having solid KPIs to know how XploraBG is performing.

I’m the fundraising manager for WWF Bulgaria, which is a nature conservation organization that is part of the WWF network.

Our individual donor fundraising program in Bulgaria mainly relies on digital advertising, so we hired XploraBG for strategic and creative support with those campaigns.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They’ve supported me in building our digital fundraising campaign with their expertise in marketing and advertising strategy. We gave them a brief with our objectives, our target audiences, and basic guidelines about how the advertisements should look. We also gave them quite a lot of stock photos owned by WWF.

Most of the time, we just provided guidelines and relied on their expertise as a digital marketing agency. They’ve helped with the creative assets, including banners, and have managed the Facebook and Google Ads campaigns. They’ve built a couple of landing pages for us where we can lead the traffic from our ad campaigns online. We also work with them on a number of other projects relating to youth, innovation, and education.

I work directly with two people, including Kalina (Project Manager), who is our account manager, and a Google Ads specialist.

Since beginning work with XploraBG, we’ve seen quite an improvement in traffic from Google Ads and Facebook Ads. We’ve also seen higher performance from our fundraising campaigns, with an increase in donors and more income collected from those donors. They’ve produced very nice creative assets, including banners.

XploraBG has been very well-organized, and they’ve strictly observed deadlines. They send reports quite often. We send them a brief for each project, and then we usually join them on a call or a meeting to discuss the agenda, deadlines, media budget, and other main points.
