Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

I handed World Web Technology a big mess. Debt-Proof Living is a website and membership program that has been around in one form or another for many years. By the time I came to WWT, there were old systems, custom tools, membership functions, years of content and plenty of things that needed to be untangled, rebuilt or brought up to date. This was not a simple website project. WWT took it on. I have worked primarily with Darshit, along with Parth and Dipendra, and I have been impressed not only by their technical ability but by their patience and willingness to stay with a problem until it is solved. I ask a lot of questions. I test everything. And when something doesn't work the way I believe it should, I say so. Darshit has earned my trust. He listens, investigates, explains what he finds and, most importantly, gets things fixed. We recently worked through a particularly difficult issue with one of our custom financial tools, and seeing it restored and working properly for our members was a very good day. There is still work ahead, which is actually part of why I am writing this review now. I don't see WWT as a company I hired to build something and then disappear. I see them as an ongoing development partner for Debt-Proof Living. I'm already talking with them about improvements to existing tools and entirely new ones I would like to develop in the future. I handed WWT a big mess. What I have today is a modern, functioning membership website—and a development team I trust to keep making it better. I'm very grateful I found them.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the owner of WesEggs, a pasture raised egg company, we farm; process and deliver our produce and produce from other producers we know.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire World Web Technology Pvt. Ltd., and what were your goals?

Our website was initially created when we started our business, as our business grew. There was a requirement to develop our online ordering system and delivery management system. Our goals was to drive efficiencies through our cloud based order management system, to reduce the paper waste and to further automate our delivery processes.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had been working with World Web with some smaller projects, these projects were a bit of a test of capability. World Web successfully completed these tasks which lead us into the bigger project. We have been really happy with the quality of the work completed today.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We initally created a project scope and kicked off with a google meet. To visually discuss the project requirements in detail. The scope was broken down into smaller steps that could be better tracked. There were 3 main parts:

• Front end website development
• Back end order management changes
• Phone app development

The project is based off a wordpress platform back by the cloud based technology of Kinsta

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We mainly dealt with a project lead whom leased with the coders in the background. The lead coder often attended these meetings. I believe that this helped with the success of the project

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The main part of our project has now been completed, the project was really successful with the last stage (the phone app) being the stand out. The efficiencies we have gained through this development of our order management system has exceeded our expectations

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Most of our main communications were through Google chat with some Google video meetings also. The guys were always available to chat about issues / changes as they arose

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are professional and easy to deal with, so much so that we will be continuing our future developments with them

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There was nothing unexpected, a few bugs here and there. But we knew that this would be the case as the changes were quite substantial. Having the point of contact who could understand our requirements was the biggest advantage

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I run a web development business in Tel Aviv. I have many local clients, as well as some from Australia, Norway, Costa Rica, and other countries. I run projects with teams of 2–3, developing mainly presentation websites and marketplaces since I have degrees in UI/UX design and full-stack development.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with World Web Technology Pvt. Ltd.?

I’m always looking for good people to outsource to for both visual and technical work. I needed JavaScript and PHP expertise for a particular project.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I’ve worked on two projects with World Web Technology, including one with two significant tasks.

One project they’ve worked with us on was developing a learning platform. We had to fix a lot of conflicting plug-ins coming from our previous development team, so we needed their support in fixing it.

Members of different groups had access to only certain learning materials, which was complicated to set up, so they’ve worked on resolving that challenge.

What is the team composition?

I worked with two developers from their team. They’re very organized, with one person taking care of the logistics, making sure that the contract is signed and the payments went through. Then, we also have a team of developers.

How did you come to work with World Web Technology Pvt. Ltd.?

I use Upwork a lot, and I went through reviews there. People work on diverse projects, so good reviews aren’t a guarantee of success. Some clients will have better experiences than others, and I think I was very lucky in choosing World Web Technology.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost so far has been between $3,000–$4,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with World Web Technology in March 2020 and I plan on hiring them for a new project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been successful, so far. The websites they’ve worked on are live and working well. World Web Technology has developed some fine and solid solutions and solved 90% of the issues we were facing.

How did World Web Technology Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

They respond quickly and are the most serious company I’ve worked with so far. It’s hard to find people that are committed to actually taking the time to investigate each project well-enough to give appropriate answers.

World Web Technology is very organized, and that’s what I like most about them — they write down tasks very clearly. A lot of other companies I’ve worked with were really messy. They expected me to tell them everything I needed over one video conference, and they’d get irritated if I didn’t give them exact instructions.

Their team doesn’t start working on something if the requirements aren’t 100% correct. They have a big team, with people taking care of different tasks. I have them on Skype, and they are available all the time. They tell me when someone is about to go on holiday, and we respect each other’s time zone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They answer quickly and have more or less stuck to the deadlines, which isn’t always easy to do because we’ve run into issues we hadn’t anticipated. This happens when working on existing projects, though. Things are much shakier these days, with the COVID-19 lockdowns, so it’s harder to make plans.

Web development is a really wide field, but World Web Technology has complied with what I’ve needed, quickly and in a very solid way. They’re very professional, skilled, and ambitious. I’ve had a very good experience so far, but I also haven’t done anything too complicated with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m not sure of ways they could improve, but they could provide clearer instructions and documentation. They finished a plug-in a couple of months ago, but I only now had a chance to implement it on the website. I wasn’t sure how it was set up, but I asked them and they got back to me immediately.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

World Web Technology is very up to date with how things should work, and they aim to understand the client as well as possible.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of youninotes.com, a multi-vendor platform with social integration where students can share their notes and make new friends at the same time.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with World Web Technology?

I needed help with web development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped integrate the vendor platform with the social platform and designed a great layout for the student profiles. Whenever you click on a student’s avatar, you’re redirected to their profile.

Furthermore, they built a useful preview functionality from scratch for the notes that students upload to the site. It gives them the possibility to automatically see a free preview of the file they’re looking for. It’s also password protected, which means that users need to provide their password whenever they want to download a file.

What is the team composition?

I worked with their business development manager, who was always very kind and available. I also communicated directly with two developers, who took care of any issues I had and were extremely nice. We became friends.

How did you come to work with World Web Technology?

I searched online for web developers but it was hard to find a company that wasn’t overly expensive. World Web Technology was honest with us about their price, which seemed very affordable next to all the work they’d previously done. They were also very responsive and told us what web technologies would work best for our project.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $5,000. To begin with, they looked at our challenge and created an invoice for the first half of the scope of work. After that was delivered, they sent another invoice for the second half. We found this to be a great way to finish the job.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January to April 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The site isn’t online yet, so I have nothing to share.

How did World Web Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

They were always available, organized, and responded quickly. I didn’t have any problems with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have really honest prices for the work they do. Other providers were asking a lot of money without even knowing what I wanted. World Web first asked me what the problem was and then created the scope.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There weren’t any problems while working with them. We formed a very good relationship.
