Vithik is also available to host itself as a product to any retailer/store and will work as their brand. We are a team of sales and support to provide online business for any kind of retail store.

A retailer can start an online business with the basic steps of the configuration of products. Retailers can track any order. Retailers can also update stock and prices with easy interaction.

For the customers, they can:

We hired Wetware Systems Private Limited to develop an online solution to provide space for multiple stores to sell their product online in India.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to set up multistore online business. A platform that should provide space to multiple retailers and allows every store to upload, manage, and inventory their product details.

A venue where customers can order their products and retailers can view their own orders and process their orders. They should set up their Shipping methods which should be zone, weight, free and flat.

We got a few references from our colleague and contacted a few from different software vendors. We found a good review of Wetware Systems in terms of satisfaction and budget.

They had a good discussion while requirement and during development. The project is to develop online web solutions for multi-stores and allowing the retailer to sell their products. Wetware develops the application and hosted the application.

What was the team composition?

They were developing an application with a team of 4-5 members. 1 Manager, 2 developers, and 1 tester.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Vithik.com launched on time this July. They provided excellent solution. Communication was very fine, every day we had progress discussion.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They have a link for project discussion. They were also agreed to change a few requirements during the development phase. There's an everyday discussion that helped to achieve my goal on time. It helped me to understand that Wetware is on right track.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They take full ownership of the work and give full dedication to complete the project. Project cost also attracted us to get the job done from Wetware Systems.

We wanted to increase the productivity and efficiency of our sales team.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Based on our requirements, Wetware Systems worked out the complete flow and documentation. Once they got our approval, they started developing the Android app using Microsoft .NET. They designed and coded the backend, including a lot of unique features. They’re also in charge of all the maintenance. Eventually, they’ll build 3–4 more developments as well as an iOS version.

I am the project manager for a company that consists of a network of stores. My job is to find technical and marketing partners, as well as app review managers. I hire professionals who can write meaningful replies to negative reviews.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wetware Systems?

Every market was using e-commerce and consumers are shopping online more than ever, so we wanted to create an online platform with good UX for our customers. We wanted to put a range of our products online for this reason. We also wanted some offline administrative apps for our employees who sometimes have a bad internet connection.

We are primarily a retail company, so we didn't have the talent in-house. We looked for third-party developers that could create a bug-free platform that processed orders smoothly and is appreciated by users. The system needed to be responsive and solve our inefficiencies.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Wetware Systems met with us in order to determine the features we wanted and our target users. They personally interviewed the employees our company and asked them what could be more efficient. Using this, they created very nice documentation and understood the major issues faced by our employees. These were sometimes data-related issues or online connectivity issues. Wetware proposed making the employees' apps offline accessible.

We mainly had offline stores, so we didn’t have a large presence online. They advised and created an online ordering process that would go hand-in-hand with the apps they were going to develop.

They suggested that after a user creates an order, it would be sent to the hub manager in a store with the order number. The hub manager would then assign that particular order to a picker, who would pack the items in the order and pass them to a rider. The riders would receive notifications automatically when orders are ready through the mobile app. We also used Wetware Systems’ time slot organization system to better process our orders.

Wetware Systems developed our backend platform using Magento, which handled orders and the product management. They created a separate PIMcore integration and created a dashboard to assign pickers, riders, and hub managers. They also developed separate dashboards that allow us to upload data directly to our backend. 

They developed the pickers' app using a React hybrid code. They also built a rider app, a manager app, a fully-native consumer application for Android and iOS, and a web app. They made sure most of the scanning and picking processes takes place offline with only one button requiring an internet connection. 

What is the team composition?

We have worked with a team of 20 people from their side. During our nine months of collaboration, I became close to all their developers and testers, but mainly interacted with their project managers.

How did you come to work with Wetware Systems?

I received an internal referral advocating for Wetware Systems. Our existing application and website were not optimized and we were getting one-star reviews. A representative of theirs came to our office and proposed to solve our problem by building a new platform.

We casually mentioned that our Amazon Web Services (AWS) sometimes crashed after reaching 1,000–2,000 customers. In just one week, a single person from their team fixed that particular problem and implemented Solr search.

We were considering other companies as our design team was not performing to our standards.

Our old design partner took a whole year to create the designs and disappointed us. We were out of time and since Wetware impressed us through their AWS fix, we hired them for the app development.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the engagement in May 2017 and it ended in April 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Customers are hard to please and at the moment, we have gotten one or two bad reviews, but eight out of every ten reviews are three- to five-star reviews. Previously, we received bad reviews eight out of every ten reviews. 

Previously, we could accept a maximum of 30 orders, but after their online ordering model, we process 80 orders per slot. This has increased our profits significantly and I am pleased with the success of the model. Our company received a sudden growth in new orders that we're unable to handle even with the new system.

The website is running fine, as are the Android and iOS apps. They are free of any bugs or errors, which means they had expert testers.

Our company’s internal employees have a set of tools made by Wetware that significantly increased efficiency in adding order numbers, adding stickers, adding new ZIP codes to Magento, and adding new products. Their automatization of our work has made our internal employees are very happy. 

We are currently planning to assign all our support requirements to Wetware.

How did Wetware Systems perform from a project management standpoint?

We mostly communicated through email and they used Redmine to track the project's progress. They are very transparent and constantly communicated through meetings and Skype calls. Their team entered every sprint onto our calendar and notified me when something was fixed. I visited their office in two-week intervals and to receive updates on their work.

They got in touch with members of our company, including myself, our COO, our CEO, the hub managers, and even the pickers. They’ve personally talked to the pickers and visited some of our stores. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Wetware understood all our requirements and delivered exactly what we wanted. I also really appreciated their clear documentation of what the business needed.

They should increase the number of developers and testers on their team.

I selected Wetware based on their past experience in the healthcare industry, the quality of their work, and their ability to deliver within the time limit.

They did a commendable job. We're launching JEEVAK in October 2018, and have already collaborated with different service providers.
