An outdated, slow loading website with old copy/images was completely refreshed to a new modern and professional functioning site. 

WebXd met all of our needs in a professional and expedited manner.  From story boards to Figma Files to multiple designs to choose from we were impressed with how well WebXd was able to take our vision and transform that into a modern and professional looking and functioning website.

Being able to support a locally owned business was an added plus.  We were impressed with Stephanie's design asthetic and ability to capture our vision into a well funtioning and great looking website.  Stephanie has amazing suggestions on how to optimize the look or feel of a web page and we are loving the new refreshed look to our website.

The project started with an in-depth SEO Competitor Analysis. We have been losing out to a new competitor, and after multiple independent reviews, could not find any reason why their site was performing better in search than ours. We chose to do one last review with WebXd. They performed a wildly in-depth review not only our own SEO metrics, but those of three competitors, and were able to pinpoint an area of success in our competition that no one else (including our own team) had been able to find. 

From here, we chose to expand the project to create a home-page module that would allow us to deliver similar results as this competitor. This was a custom-coded module that was built to fit the look and feel of our existing site. It was built exactly as requested, on-time and exceeded expectations. The WebXd team did a phenomenal job. 

They also pulled pre-launch metrics, as well as one-month post-launch metrics, to help us keep an eye on movement with the new module live on the site. I am continually impressed with their dedication and professionalism.

In just one month, we have seen a measurable increase in top 3 keyword positions. Additionally, we feel we have a much better grasp on not only our own SEO standing and goals, but that of our primary competitors.

I felt communication was incredibly timely and thorough. One of my biggest pet peeves is asking more than on question in an email, and only getting one answer--this never happened in my communication with WebXd. Both email and virtual meetings were friendly, professional, and informative. All items were delivered on time, with realistic expectations set from the jump.

I've been in digital marketing and the management of various websites for almost 15 years, and this is the first time a project has been completed on time. Everything was delivered on time. Their team was very responsive whenever we had questions or feedback. After a few iterations and reorganization of content, their team designed and developed an informational Wordpress website. Stephanie knows and has worked for my business partner on his non-profit website and other marketing development projects. He introduced us to Stephanie, and we have been very happy with her designs and the timing to develop our websites.

We started by discussing the business and the marketing messages we wanted for the site. She developed the website design and we worked with her to modify the design to the point of providing content. even as the COO I developed all the content before she spent time doing it on a piecemeal basis. That was a cost savings.

I hired WebXD to help me design a new website that would help highlight my practice's areas of expertise.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I read web developer reviews online and spoke with several companies before deciding on WebXD. Stephanie was extremely responsive and clearly wanted to make sure the website fit my vision for it. She was very attentive and was quick to help adjust parts of the site to meet my vision. Each draft of the site was done very quickly and the final site turned out exactly like I wanted it to.

We had initial consultation call where Stephanie asked about my vision and showed me several website examples to get a better idea of what I was looking for. Stephanie sent me the first draft of the site 1-2 weeks after our first meeting.

We then had a meeting after each of the two site drafts to discuss things I liked and things I wanted to changed. After the website was done, we had a two-hour training session where Stephanie walked me through how to manage future edits on my own.

I had an existing website, but I needed a new one with improved features to optimize the presentation of my content. I initially met up with WebXd to discuss my expectations in terms of functionality and design. Their team then took those into consideration during the implementation process.

WebXd developed a new web platform using a new architecture, coding language, and an overall theme based on my design preferences. They also imported site content from my previous platform and integrated that into the new website while applying the design refinements.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I just launched the website, so there are no quantitative metrics to share yet. However, I could confirm that WebXd delivered a user-friendly and sophisticated website that easily secured positive feedback from early spectators. The navigation was especially flawless — it encapsulated my vision well, which would help me appeal to my target audience.

How did WebXd perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated via email and phone calls and shared content regularly through Google Docs. WebXd was an attentive team with fantastic project management skills — they delivered results within quick turnaround times without compromising quality. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I saw their commitment to completing a quality product that addressed all my needs and expectations. Additionally, they were pleasant communicators, and that made our partnership seamless.

I didn’t find a particular aspect that needed improvement. They were a reliable development partner.

Define your project requirements and expectations from the get-go. Any project is easier to accomplish when these are concisely communicated.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebXd?

We wanted to launch a new website. We had a WordPress website that was pretty well designed and reasonably implemented by a previous agency. However, there were some execution problems, and the relationship with them wore out. We decided to take the design and the work that had been done up to that point and get it across the finish line ourselves. We contacted WebXd to help us with this challenge.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebXd took over our site and helped us tackle a list of around 10 aspects that needed to be either fixed or added to it. They worked on Elementor.

What is the team composition?

I had one main point of contact.

How did you come to work with WebXd?

I did a lot of local searches for web developers, and I believe I found WebXd through Clutch. I also found in Upwork some of the work my main point of contact had done as a freelancer and saw WebXd projects in their portfolio.

When I reached out to them, WebXd was highly energetic and looked like they would be able to execute the project with a reasonable effort. They were committed to customer service as well.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent close to $2,000–$3,000 including the cost of recent updates.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–February 2021. We contacted WebXd in January and they executed their work within a couple of weeks during February. We didn’t launch the site until April 2021, but that was based on some internal decisions rather than technical difficulties or their ability to execute the project.

We’re now considering them for larger projects in the future.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

WebXd completed everything that was scheduled on time and with excellent customer service. They were extremely approachable and available. Whenever anything was going on, I could call them or text them. They kept us updated throughout the whole process, which was fantastic and a nice change compared to our previous vendor.

From the results side. WebXd always completed all the work in fewer hours than I had expected. They were great to work with as we started to learn about each other.

Generally speaking, WebXd offered immediate turnaround times and great access to their development team. They demonstrated a can-do attitude instead of just giving excuses and explanations, which is a much better way to work with developers.

How did WebXd perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated through texts and emails. As we engage on larger projects, I’d like to see them use additional project management tools. However, given the scope for this project, it would have been overkill.

What did you find most impressive about them?

WebXd's most impressive asset was their overall customer service and responsiveness. I spent many hours on the phone with them over many different conversations, and I didn’t even get billed for that.

WebXd's willingness to work to our demands without arguing with us about it was also impressive. I instructed them to help me with different technical assets as needed, and I know that creating them separately would have cost more than what we got charged for working on an hourly basis with them. They contributed with what they could and were very communicative.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there is anything WebXd could improve on. We’re starting to talk about a new, larger project, and I need to make sure that they’re comfortable working with larger teams. I’m looking to bring in additional freelancers and a support team, so I’m looking forward to seeing how they will work with larger teams of technical contributors.
