Our customers find us and book our services online, but we have a lot of competition in the area. We wanted to be on the first page of Google searches, so we were looking for a company to help us with organic SEO and online ads.

They restructured our website and added a lot of content. They've also installed analytics and are constantly tracking the performance of our ads. If something is not working, they change it. In addition, they’ve been helping us improve our SEO rankings.

I found them through an online search. I liked the fact that they were honest with me about the time it'd take to get on the first page of Google searches. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re on the first page of Google searches and our sales have been on the rise over the past five months. I saw a bigger increase in bookings in some months, while in other months it was more stagnant, which could be because we have more and more competitors in the area. When our sales go down, WebpageFX tweaks the strategy and the sales go back up. Without them, we would be really struggling.

How did they perform from a project management standpoint?

They're very responsive. They're on the other side of the US, so we primarily communicate via email and phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our project manager was exceptionally supportive and gave me helpful feedback. He’s always there for me, so I feel I'm not going through this alone.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. I've been very happy with them. Everyone wants to pay less, but it's been worth every dollar.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They know what they're doing, so you can trust them to work on several campaigns at the same time. I started with SEO and waited a couple of months before signing my second contract, and that is my biggest regret.

WebpageFX does SEO, but also manages our website and generates monthly traffic reports. To keep the site active, they write monthly and quarterly posts in longform and blog formats. Similar services include drafting mailers and e-blasts. We haven’t used their PPC services, but are considering them.

They're very organized, using an agenda to show task progress and completion. That tool helps us stay on track; they’re vigilant about deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The project manager does competitor research to help us understand our market position from a web search standpoint. She’s also brainstormed helpful ideas to maximize traffic. Those efforts are a great help for a small company like ours.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The creative designs were not at the level of their other services. But as a B2B company, we don’t necessarily need highly detailed graphics to achieve our set goals.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Look at all their offerings. They provide paid ads and search ads services, which we don’t use.

We’re a commercial van outfitter. We add aftermarket parts to commercial vans—such as shelving or racks—to help contractors organize their equipment and make everyday work easier. I support our marketing and sales.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebpageFX?

We built our site about three years ago and weren’t happy with our previous SEO company. We wanted to see more growth and communication from a new company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started them on SEO, which included a lot of on-page optimization and backlinking. We then added PPC management to the services they provide us. They run our Google AdWords account. CRO—conversion rate optimization—is our third campaign with them, which just started last year.

We’re looking to gain qualified traffic and increase our conversion rates on the website. Our conversion rates aren’t as high as we would like.

What is the team composition?

Right now, I communicate with one woman who acts as our account manager. She does all our on-page optimization and PPC management. We had another representative at the start of the project, but she stepped in when he moved on. She communicates with her team, who does the backlinking and writes all the longform articles.

How did you come to work with WebpageFX?

We found them online on Forbes, Clutch, or a site like those. Their reviews were very favorable across all the sites we saw them on.

How much have you invested with them?

The initial investment was about $5,000 and we pay monthly for their other services. We recently increased our monthly SEO payments to around $2,000, PPC management totals to about $500, CRO around $1,200, and our average ad spend to about $1,500.

We started working with them summer 2016. Work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve definitely seen our site traffic and sales increase. Our metrics show that we’re running about three or four times the volume we had a few years ago.

How did WebpageFX perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Basecamp for all our monthly goals and tasks. We have monthly phone calls with them where we look over the calendar to see what’s been completed and what we want to plan for the coming month. They send detailed notes of everything to my email and our account manager sends regular updates on our results. If any of us have ideas, we email back and forth. I’m really satisfied with the communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication is exceptional and was something we didn’t get with our previous company. They’re interested in what we’re all about and have written industry related articles to get us the results we need.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have a basic understanding of digital marketing. It’s not their job to give me a course to cover the whole technical side of things, but presentations that explained different metrics and terminology would help my understanding.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I don’t have anything specific, I just signed up for their standard programs. They were happy to modify a few of them to better fit our budget.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They entirely redesigned our WordPress website, incorporating our ideas as well as theirs. In addition, they manage online marketing campaigns and Google AdWords, create links, and write content for our blog. They're good at generating ideas for new content and produce so much of it that it's hard for us to keep up with them.

We've been very happy with their engagement and communication. Other companies we worked with lost their initial excitement and let the project fall into an autopilot mode, so we were spending our money, but the services were not coming in. We've never had any issues like that with WebpageFX.

How did they perform from a project management standpoint?

They use Basecamp, where they upload the documents we need to see, and we can upload our documents as well. We also communicate via email and receive updates form them almost daily. They're very responsive and usually answer our questions the same day.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication is very strong. In addition to emails and newsletters that they send us, they often give us a call to discuss our ideas. They're very good at translating our ideas into reality.

Are there any areas they could improve?

When we were designing a website we wanted to set our shop apart from other automative repair shops and dealerships. They did a great job, but the logo designs that came through were not exactly what we wanted. (Maybe we should just listen to advice more.)

Trust them. Listen to them and they'll do a good job.

I'm the CEO of Hillside, which is an organization in Atlanta that provides mental health services for children and adolescents, ages 7–21. Our services include residential, psychiatric, and outpatient treatment. 

We also have a foster care program and in-home community support programs where we go to the houses of families who have a child in need of therapeutic or mental health care, helping keep the family intact. Originally, we provided a home for children and their mothers who were homeless, then we morphed into an adoption/orphanage type organization, and later, we moved into the mental health realm. This year we're celebrating our 130-year anniversary.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebpageFX?

We wanted to improve our online presence. We planned to do that in-house – we had an employee who was working very energetically, but found that it was taking an incredible amount of time. We didn't have enough manpower to make a difference on this project, so we started looking for an outside a vendor to help us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They performed a number of website upgrades and have been managing SEO for us to maximize our online presence. They also applied for a Google Grant for us, which we received. It allows us to do PPC [Pay Per Click] campaigns by granting us $2 of credit per keyword. We use those keywords to help drive attention to our website.

Later, we added a website maintenance plan because our in-house team didn't have the expertise to do that. Now, when we want to make any updates or changes to our website, we create a ticket for them. 

In addition, they oversee all of our social media campaigns on Facebook and Twitter. They create a social media calendar for us each month, where we can see the articles and updates they're posting. Within a given month, there are 14–16 updates coming from their side.

We work with a project manager and a social media expert.

How did you come to work with them?

They were recommended to me by someone they had worked for. I trusted the recommendation (it was coming from a friend I had known for 30 years), so I didn't look for other companies. We had an initial call with WebpageFX to explore what they could provide for us and after that, we committed to them.

Initially, we paid them $10,000 to do some major adjustments to our website, an initial analysis, and provide recommendations. Now, we have them on a monthly retainer and pay about $1,600-$2,000 a month based on our needs.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

One of our goals was to increase our user engagement by 60% by the end of the year. They exceeded this number, reaching 80,228 views on social media. Another goal was to increase referral traffic to our website by 65%. Starting at zero in February, they got the number of sessions driven to our website to 1,780 within less than a year. They track progress toward all of our goals, educating us about what's been successful and what they'll be focusing on.

How did they perform from a project management standpoint?

Every week, they provide reports, letting us know what updates they're doing on our website and what social media calendar they're proposing for next month. They also give us social media marketing reports with the details of Facebook and Twitter activity each month. We use Basecamp to communicate and share updates, which has worked well. They've been extremely transparent and patient. We can see on their to-do list what they're accomplishing each day.

They've been very attentive, making sure they're providing us with what we need. For example, they create blog posts about some of our work and we review those posts, making edits. We had to edit several posts fairly significantly and they immediately turned their attention to us, asking how they could be more helpful and get it right the first time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're easy to work with and address all of our requests. Taking time to educate us, they provide good feedback and always let us know why they don't recommend certain things for us. They're patient, pleasant, and help us make best decisions. Since we started working with them, we haven't had a single complaint.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They're so transparent and accommodating that I can't think of anything they could improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Stay engaged and learn from them. It's something that takes time and attention. Having them do the bulk of the work is fantastic, but you do need to pay attention to the updates they provide and the questions they pose.

Our previous web design firm wasn't meeting our needs, so we wanted to find a new company to redesign our site.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We use our site to provide information and attract new business, and since many of our new customers find us by shopping around online, it's important for us to have persuasive content. WebpageFX redesigned our site and revised the content to better convey our brand, and they continue providing day-to-day support. They’ve also helped us manage our web presence with SEO and paid search advertising so that we consistently come up first or second in local search results.

What is the team composition?

We mostly interact with our project manager. Since we've worked with them for so long, the person in that position has changed, but both have been fantastic.

How did you come to work with WebpageFX?

We initially had a family member design our website, but over time our needs grew too great for her level of expertise, so we contracted an outside company to redesign the site. Unfortunately, that first company’s project management was extremely poor and the projects were often delayed or not done well. After that experience, we started looking for someone else who could work with us long-term and we came across WebpageFX.

How much have you invested with them?

This year we spent somewhere between $10,000–$15,000 on their management fees. We've only had one incident where there was an additional charge on the bill, but it was because their team had to put in extra time fixing a bug that our previous designer hadn't addressed.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them sometime in 2014. We pay them monthly, but we meet with our reps every year to discuss our budget and project goals.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They produce reports for us on a monthly basis that summarize any new leads we have and track various user data, such as how long users have been interacting with our site or how often people fill out our contact form. It's more information than we need, and we don't review the reports often, but the graphs make it easy to see that we're getting our money's worth because our metrics are constantly improving in response to the ads we track. And if we ever have a specific question, WebpageFX is able to supply the answer.

How did WebpageFX perform from a project management standpoint?

They're pretty efficient, which is one of the reasons we ended up sticking with them. They're also really clear about the services you're getting and they explain what you might miss if you opt out of something.

In terms of day-to-day communication, we use BaseCamp, which lets you set up due dates for projects, store documentation, and send secure emails. Any time we have a conversation they annotate it and those notes are accessible to us.

They plan well for emergencies, too—we had an issue once while the project manager was on vacation, and her backup got in contact with me right away to take care of it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I've worked with a lot of different organizations, and WebpageFX's customer service is exemplary. They're super-organized and focused on service delivery; if they say they're going to finish something, they have it ready by the day before the deadline. I've also never had to wait more than 10 or 15 minutes to hear back from them, whether by phone or online, and they're one of the best companies I've ever worked with in terms of documenting conversations and outlining follow-up plans.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

One thing I've learned over the years of site redesigns is that no outside party is going to be able to write your content exactly the way you want it. We're in the medical industry, so writers without that familiarity or expertise don't do more than a mediocre job writing blog entries or informational text, even when they do the research. WebpageFX provides good ideas, but we frequently rewrite their content.

I’m the vice president of business development for American Heritage Property Management, a full-service property management company offering a vast array of services. We do property management, maintenance, and almost anything that relates to the daily oversight of property. My job is to find other property management companies to acquire and develop the business model, which includes marketing policies and procedures, internal reviews, etc.

We needed help with our digital marketing campaign. Originally, we had one company that handled all of our online work, but we switched to a different agency and decided we wanted a third-party partner who specialized in digital marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebpageFX oversees our SEO and SEM campaigns and integrates those items into our website to make sure everything works correctly. They also manage the PPC campaign and keywords, optimizing the metatags and descriptions and keeping them accurate, relevant, and up to date.

Google recently released an updated algorithm involving new content, so we’re having WebpageFX develop new video content for our site. We recently transitioned from http to https, and WebpageFX took care of that, as well.

WebpageFX manages almost everything related to marketing our company online. We have a different company that controls and runs our website, but all the keywords and content are WebpageFX’s responsibility.

How did you come to work with WebpageFX?

A friend of mine works for them. When we began looking for a new partner, I did some research and, in addition to them, put together a list of about five different companies we could work with. We reached out to and interviewed them, and WebpageFX was the best.

They were professional and took time to get to know us instead of delivering a preconceived speech they give all of their potential clients. They asked questions and tried to understand what we do, our goals, and what we wanted from a digital marketing company.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've seen an increase in numerous metrics since switching over to them. In December, our organic leads increased by 33 and SEO phone calls increased by 101. We had a 7.75% decrease in SEO traffic from last year, but that’s because we changed our URL, so it was expected. PPC conversions increased by 50% and cost of conversions decreased by 46%. The bounce back rate also decreased by 14%, and our cost per click was $9.88.

How did WebpageFX perform from a project management standpoint?

Heather is phenomenal; she’s responsive, proactive, and always on top of things. She’s a step ahead of me all the time, which is great, and she’s just easy to work with.

We use Basecamp to track exactly what projects they’re working on, and they’re transparent with the timeline. We always know exactly what their time is being spent on because they give consistent updates. We use MarketingCloudFX to access the files they send over, and it’s an easy platform to navigate.

Every month, they provide a report that Heather and I go over together. It provides all our key metrics, and we walk through what worked and what should change. Overall, we’ve had nothing but good experiences.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It's hard to narrow it down to one thing. They've done everything as well as we could’ve hoped. The company prior to WebpageFX had a lot of content on our site, but nothing was overly productive. However, WebpageFX is great at taking large amounts of information and organizing it in a clear and concise way that will attract the most business.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Check around to make sure you get what’s best for you. WebpageFX is a great partner, but they’re relatively expensive compared to other competitors. Their pricing structure probably isn’t viable for all businesses, but their services are worth every dime. Just be aware that WebpageFX isn’t the cheapest when you reach out to them.

I'm the sales manager for Lane Enterprises, an industrial powder coating business. Most of our work is in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast but we service the whole country.

What challenge were you trying to address with Webpage FX?

When I joined the company about 11 years ago, the website looked as if it hadn’t been touched in years and the logo wasn't even up to date. A few years later I got a new boss and he agreed that it was time to invest in improving the site.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially thought about just doing upgrades on the existing framework. However, once we got into the project we decided to redesign the whole site. Webpage put together a timeline, gave us assignments, and set project deadlines.

At each step they proposed various options and allowed us to pick what we wanted. We decided not to have an e-commerce site because we didn't think our customers would use it. It’s a fairly simple informational site with a picture gallery and a button to request a quote.

Webpage continues to provide ongoing maintenance and tweaks. They let us know that the highest ranked entry page for the site is about maintenance and how to repair powder coating. As a result we’re creating a graphic to show how to fix damages in the field.

We have an account manager and 2–3 developers worked on the project. We've had probably six account managers in the time we’ve worked together

How did you come to work with Webpage FX?

We asked our corporate office who built their site—which was a different company—and they suggested we contact Webpage. They were a new company at the time and their office was a 5-minute drive from ours. We immediately felt really comfortable with them and have continued working together ever since.

How much have you invested with them?

I honestly don’t know—the bills come to my boss and I never talk money with the developers or our account manager. As far as I'm concerned, I need the website to do my job so I don’t really care what it cost.

We started working together about eight years ago. The site was done in six months but we’ve continued to use them on a regular basis.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Right after the site launched, we landed a huge job coating parts for a solar carport. The fabricator and architect found our site because we were the top hit on Google when they searched “powder coating in the Northeast” and “large parts.” That project encouraged us to go after the growing solar market. Webpage added information about the solar carport project to the site, and solar has been a big focus of our sales for the last 6–7 years.

The site is one of the most important features in my sales toolbox. Because I don't often get out to West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, etc., the site provides all of the information that clients need.

How did Webpage FX perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re always available to talk with us and quick to respond if we have questions. We’re doing a few small tweaks right now and I've talked to our account manager already four times this week. In terms of general maintenance, we meet with our account manager at least three times a year.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Because our team is pretty technically challenged, we rely on them a lot. If they see something that they think would work, they bring it to us for discussion. Unlike other service providers, I feel like Webpage wants our business and is happy to work with us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think the biggest challenge has been they’re used to working with businesses that sell a product and we're selling a service. It's a completely different sale process and takes a lot longer. Every now and then they’ll bring us ideas that are more geared to a product-driven company than a service-driven company.

I'm the director of operations of Rider Musser Development, a small organization in central Pennsylvania. Our upcoming project involves developing 115 acres into commercial and residential land.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebpageFX?

Our website and mobile app was out of date and not user friendly; we wanted a cleaner, more exciting redesign. Our logos and other branding materials needed a refresh as well.

Outside of the norm, we did not want to promote our website. At the current land development stage of our project, we're not yet ready to promote any new apartment buildings. We just needed an informational, clean website for folks to reference from our talks at townships.

We knew going into it that we were going to be spending a decent amount of money compared to what we invested on our original site, because we needed it to look phenomenal.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebpageFX did a complete overhaul of our previous website, adding an interactive map that allows you to hover over areas and discover where buildings will be developed. They also added a lot of stock images to balance out the text-heavy interface. Their team assisted with an e-blast newsletter as the project progressed.

Initially, we worked with the same person I had met at a training session. We now work with a different project lead who's been my go-to.

A representative from WebpageFX was hosting a free training session on creating websites that I attended. I was impressed that they took the time to provide that service for free to other realtors, and I found it to be very helpful and extensive. Through some additional research, I found their website work to be fantastic.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We're pleased with what we've received in return, given the amount of money that we spent on the product. The ability to upload videos to the website has been a great tool for informing the public quickly and efficiently. That saves us a lot of time on the phone. As the project picks up, we see the website as a great resource to share with locals.

Although they've provided analytics, that's not something we're concerned with at this stage.

How did WebpageFX perform from a project management standpoint?

They tend to move at a faster pace than we do. I am floored by how quickly they get things done. They're proactive in ensuring that we get all of our contracted deliverables.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team has been phenomenal to work with. They're responsive and provide valuable feedback. They've suggested ideas that we never would have come up with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I had some difficulty explaining that our focus was not on promoting the website. As we were reassigned different project leads, I had to spend some time explaining that to their team. Overall, however, the final product definitely trumped that minor annoyance.
