I’m the founder of Baguame, a feng shui practice company. I’m a designer and developer, and my passion is feng shui. I created a service to help people find harmony in their homes.

My platform was a bit complicated to realize by myself, so I needed to find someone who could help me with it. I also have the design, but I needed someone to code it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebCap Digitals has provided full stack development services for my platform. They’ve completed the entire backend, including all the calculators, databases, and UX.

We started with a technical document. I prepared it and sent it to them for estimation. They learned everything I explained in the document. Then, we had an additional call with a senior developer, a project manager, and another developer who would work on the project. After that, they started working. In about a month, I gained insight into the core of the platform, and then we began collaborating more deeply. When I had questions or needed fast fixes, I could speak with the main developer.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When I open the main part of the platform, I see that all the details I drew in Figma have been realized. Everything works correctly, and the accuracy is great. As a feng shui expert, I need very accurate things, and there’s no room for mistakes.

How did WebCap Digitals perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver everything on time. According to my estimate, the project has taken a bit longer; however, in reality, everything has been completed a bit faster. Overall, WebCap Digitals has done everything completely professionally.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We live in Ukraine, and Zaporizhzhia, where WebCap Digitals is located, is very close to the war. It’s about 50 kilometers away from the military part. The main developer is in a very dangerous city. It’s not because there’s a war, but you need to be careful on the streets. The government can detain you and transport you to the army. Despite all these factors, WebCap Digitals continues to work. They’re very careful about their team and the projects they work on, which has really impressed me.

No, everything has been perfect.

If you want to do something with your website, just do it with WebCap Digitals. You won’t have any problems with them.

WebCap was assigned to take the website designs and copy that have been created for our client and bring them to life within WordPress. WebCap was responsible for implementing the ideated UX and UI, as well as insuring the website functioned smoothly and efficiently with the UX and design choices made. WebCap was also responsible for working with another developer that developed a designed content library app in React to be inserted into the client's main website.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

WebCap was highly dependable with consistent communications and timely delivery. Every deadline they promised to hit, they actually hit. There was never a delay from their end. 
Their flexibility was extremely important for us as an agency, since serving our clients who have delays on their end which are out of our control, naturally extends to WebCap. But they always adjusted to our timelines and delivered when requested. The new website itself looked amazing and functioned with the unique needs from the client, and performed a lot faster as well.

Anastasiya was an amazing point of contact. She was very clear in her communication, made suggestions when requests did not make the most sense, and was consistently reliable. She made the entire experience smooth and stress free. And her knowledge with web development work bridged the gap between us and her development team. We would gladly work with her again on future projects.

Communication around project costs had a bit of hiccup, but Anton was extremely amenable and willing to work with us and our budget to ensure all parties were satisfied with the end result.

We needed to make a good modern design of our existing website on the Tilda platform. Guys from Webcap happily agreed to help us with this and we've started our work with a design of landing page that presents penetration testing servises. Our task was well accomplished on the first try and it was done really quickly. We've got a high quality landing page as well as main banners with unique intetesting illustrations for other web-pages. We are currently planning further set of works and hope for a long-term cooperation.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We started working Anton and his team a few months ago, and the experience so far has been great. After going through a 3 other development agencies this year, who would charge us big amounts for seemingly small tasks, I was quite fed up, and thus happy to get in touch with Anton. Anton has created a development agency that (from what I can see) runs very well operationally. 

The tasks you assing them are tracked with their internal tools, and for each project they can give you accurate breakdown and estimations of what the project will cost, in my experience they haven't even deviated from thoose estimates once. Generally it is just a pleasure for me to work with this agency, because I can feel that it's important for Anton to give a fair value exchange of service against my money, which is actually rarely the case for any kind of service agency, and this is something that reflects in Anton's business as a whole. 

My project manager, who handles the daily operations is also very reasonable, and easy to work with. We haven't had any real issues on any of the projects we've done so far.

Yes, they have always delivered on time or before, and made accurate ETA's around when I could expect something to be done. Further than that they're usually very flexible when it comes to urgent projects.

How the agnecy's SOPs are built, and how it works operationally. Although I haven't seen their operational backend, I can feel that it works very well.

Webcap take my designs and verbal briefs and offer solutions – turning them into well thought through and broken down requirements. They are quick and effective. Snags and reviews are dealt with quickly/resolved. I find working with Anton a positive experience – he is always there to advise and help, no matter what the question/request is, he is considered in his approach

Are there any areas for improvement or something WebCap Digitals could have done differently?

Testing and bug fixes are a part of the work – if there is a way to reduce/improve QC then I would imagine Webcap has considered it. Third party plug ins break and that has nothing to do with Webcap, if they could build their own it might help – but am not clear on how much time that would be for them, and how many clients would benefit from this.

We came to WebCap Digitals with only a remote idea of what a car rental company's website should look like. And with absolutely no technical understanding. Together with the company's managers, we developed a technically optimised and user-friendly website that leaves no open questions for the client. With a stylish yet understated design that perfectly suits our business area.

In addition to website development, WebCap Digitals also wrote SEO texts and tested the site, as well as helped us with technical setup of hosting and additional services. Thus, at the end of our co-operation, we received a fully ready-to-work product.

We got in contact with WebCap Digitals through business acquaintances who already had an extremely positive experience with the team. This positive experience, as well as the quick communication and eagerness of the team, ultimately made us decide to work with them.

We clearly discussed the goals and objectives of our new website. The team quickly came up with mock-ups that clearly translated our wishes into tangible results. After discussing the mock-ups and making some changes, the website was quickly developed. The team was clear in their communication and educated us on how to make edits to the content ourselves.

They did a lot of varying work for us which included new web designs and site stability. We also worked with a team of Drupal CMS experts who helped us troubleshoot issues and build new features like interactive components and learning modules.

We worked with a team of at least three people. There was one senior designer, Anton (Co-Founder, CEO) who did a lot of project management for us, and there was a third person who also did project management and development for us.

In the time that I worked with them, we invested between $200,000–$300,000.

We began working with them in 2014. I no longer work with them directly, but I believe that the partnership with WebCap Digitals LLC is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We saw engagement metrics go up, and site sessions increase. People were reaching their desired actions and desired information faster, and the page load times improved dramatically. We experienced a 100% increase in site sessions and visits, and a 50%–60% improvement in page load time. 

We also saw increased lead generation as a result of an improved website and better-performing content.

They were incredibly organized and communicative with us, even though the engagement was remote. We communicated via Upwork, Slack, and email.

They created well-written and well-performing websites for us, and they were a really great value for what we paid.

There was nothing they could have improved on for us.

Have a regular meeting cadence in order, and set up milestones in advance. Make sure to get regular updates on progress because that's important for working remotely. Break the payments up and make it a quarterly or milestone-based payment plan.
