I'm the founder of a test preparation company. We specialize in private online tutoring for the SAT, ACT, GMAT & more.

Our company had been growing strictly by word-of-mouth for nearly three years, and we didn't have a website. After some clients inquired about a web page, we decided to finally create a web presence and reached out to Web Redone to build our site.

Web Redone was referred to me by a close friend who had worked with them on other projects; I met with the owner of Web Redone (Nikola), and we clicked--he got our vision for the project, comforted me with timeline assurances (that he fulfilled), and was within our budget.

For us, the deciding factors were previous work (we liked Web Redone's other sites), timing (we wanted to launch in August in time for the U.S. admissions season), understanding the nuts and bolts of the process (Nikola demonstrated to me how he envisioned working through our project precisely), and price.

We had an intro meeting with to discuss our company's needs, ideas, and goals. Web Redone then came back to us with proposed design and development timeline.

We had a couple more meetings to finalize the design, they showed us mockups and wireframes we approved, and then they got to work using Wordpress. They delivered a landing page and contact page we were very happy with.

Nikola was our main point of contact throughout the process, and he had another developer and designer working with him behind the scenes.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Since launching our site last August, we have more than doubled our sales year-over-year, and I attribute much of that to receiving more than double the leads thanks to the new landing and contact pages.

Clients have commented on how clear, stylish, and effective the landing page is in communicating what we do and how we do it.

We had twice-weekly check-ins, and email communication was fast and fluent. We also chatted over Skype and WhatsApp, and Nikola was always easy to get on a call when I needed to understand something more in-depth.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The communication was excellent—I always had a response in under 24 hours. They also showed me how to use Wordpress to update text and tutor profiles, so we could easily make future updates on our end without getting them involved.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When we first launched, the page was loading a bit too slowly due to the tutor photos, but Web Redone quickly solved that by changing the file sizes of the photos and then developing a quicker way to load the site.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The load time decreased from 1.5 seconds to 400 milliseconds. Our Google rank has improved since they optimized our SEO. The average session duration per-user has also increased.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Nikola led all project management efforts. After reviewing our wireframes, he asked a number of questions to understand the desired UX of the theme. It was refreshing to hear questions about points we hadn’t even considered. That showed the team was both invested in our happiness and the satisfaction of the end user. The team’s effective project management continued once the theme went live.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

In contrast to other web development vendors, Web Redone stands apart. The team’s judgment is aided by a great depth of knowledge. They built the theme wisely, and it still hasn’t needed a bug fix.

They can build a durable product with little information. Sometimes, our company engages with clients that need specific services that Web Redone offers. They’ve helped us maintain those customers.

How did Web Redone perform from a project management standpoint?

Web Redone communicates and expresses their ideas exceptionally well. Even though we’re in different time zones, they promptly respond to our messages through Skype and email. We’ve also used Asana. Their team goes beyond their scope when they noticed something isn't built. They can also work independently, with little guidance.

We’ve engaged with other developers, but I prefer working with Web Redone. Web Redone is skilled at bringing functional and responsive websites to life. Their team is attentive, suggests helpful ideas to better their work. They are easygoing.

Their organization for tracking the project could improve. Instead of an invoicing system, they use email. We should ask them for a more robust system for those areas.

It’s important to have a project management system in place to track each element of the project. Be sure that billing is clear for everyone involved.

Our main objective was to complete the project within a very tight timeline.

How did you select this vendor?

I saw their profile while at another agency. I followed their work and could see that their code follows best practices in development, so I decided to hire them for this project.

Web Redone developed the frontend of the website and mobile app for a car rental business, including a dashboard, making sure it communicates with the backend API that I had previously developed. Their team also created user profiles, car profiles, user roles, and a web socket for real-time communication. For the mobile app, Web Redone built a notifications feature and the capability of saving data offline and syncing it when online.

I acted as the backend developer of the project. They assigned two developers and a project manager.

Web Redone worked fast and is skilled in React and React Native development, which made the whole project easier to maintain.
