The scope of work was to create a new game using the Unity tool that could be launched on both Apple's App Store and Google Play. The project steps included:

• Choosing the type of game, we wanted to create (in this case, a first-person shooter).
• Creating assets for the game (enemies, weapons, environments).
• Developing levels for the game and testing them out in real-time with our team members.
• Creating levels that players could complete without dying or running out of time.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, my services were not being purchased like I hoped they would be, so I knew I needed to figure out a way to get more traffic onto my website. I also needed to change the name of my company, and wanted to redo my website so it had more features than it did at the time. 

I was working with another company, and wasn’t happy with the work they were doing, so I hired WEB DESIGN MARVEL to work on SEO services and introduce my company to social media.

There has not been much of an increase in traffic on my website. 

How did WEB DESIGN MARVEL perform from a project management standpoint?

They don’t call me to discuss what we should be doing monthly, so I have to reach out to them. Everything that they give me is usually handed over at the last minute. There is a time difference between us, which complicates things a little, but overall I would say they are not very good with deadlines. 

We generally communicate through email, text messages, or I call them.

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

WEB DESIGN MARVEL is easy to work with, and they have very polite employees. They do what they say they will do, and even though the work is slow and isn’t as vibrant as I want it to be, they are reliable. They are not a fly-by-night operation. They are a bit behind in adopting new platforms, but they are very sincere and conscientious.

In what specific areas can they improve?

They do not communicate regularly, and are not always available. I have to reach out to them a lot of the time, and they don’t always get back to me in a prompt manner. I would prefer to have 1–2 emails and one call per week, so we can work on simple projects that get published on a government contracting platform, but they have backed off on that.  

They send progress reports every three months, but I would prefer that they send out a weekly update letting me know everything they have done. We are behind schedule at this point. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The person needs to know what they want. If a person knows exactly what they want, I think WEB DESIGN MARVEL can deliver it. If you are not sure, then their advice is generally not the best. It depends on what you demand from them, and you need to demand things from them. If you know what you want, go ahead and work with WEB DESIGN MARVEL.
