I’m the director of strategy and operations at Fincretive. We enable merchants to access benefits markets and meet product eligibility requirements via their POS systems. We offer retail and data services that support OTC/HBC transactions and SNAP compliance for grocers and retailers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

UVIO has transitioned from marketing and website support, to supporting lower-priority products and eventually building high-value core products for us in the retail, payments, and data technology space. Their work has included requirements gathering, design discussions, UX design, wireframing, software development, release planning, production software support, roadmap planning, payment technology development, new product platform development, marketing design support, and video editing. The team has delivered two websites, one new digital product, and one payment gateway tech solution.

UVIO has deployed three net new websites, delivered 20 digital marketing assets, delivered a first-of-its-kind payment tech solution, and saved us 25% on development costs. We’ve also tracked their development speed and the number of tasks fully handed off to UVIO for end-to-end ownership.

UVIO delivers on time. They cover many of the project management tactical aspects, including project planning, scheduling, and communicating changes to the plan with us. We primarily communicate via virtual meetings and emails or messaging apps.

Based on the existing information found on the previous website of Prince Bank Cambodia. The vendor was contracted to revamp the website's entire information flow and UX and UI. To make the project complete, the vendor agreed to provide most of the page templates of each product on Figma which our team as the developer could use as the reference for development into production accordingly.

These factors are the most satisfactory that UVIO provides us. Never late ever happens during the project development likewise the team responds to all the necessary needs even those that need to be completed by adding an extra task over the agreed scope of work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Quality and accountability of the team leader are the most triggering parts that you could rarely meet in the current online B2B phenomenon.

Are there any areas for improvement or something UVIO could have done differently?

There is a specific case which not commonly relevant to most of the cases is the different timezone between us which needs almost 12 hours of latency turnaround time for each discussion. However, we overcome this by giving the most efficient communications as much as possible. In the end, the project was completed successfully.

No other designer I explored, and there were dozens, could deliver the product I envisioned or be interested in beyond the mass production of the same cookie cutter designs.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I knew of Uvio through the work they made in the past and their designs really stood out in the mass of contemporary websites. Ed from Uvio intuitively understood the UI, features and functionality I envisioned. Moreover, he made suggestions for impactful improvements. Uvio listens to their customers and prospects.

Uvio collected several samples of websites I considered as a baseline for my project. I wrote up which features to incorporate and which samples to use as a reference point for what I am trying to achieve in terms of delivering my tailored message to my customers. They researched the sample businesses to better understand what drew me and my niche to those samples. They offered a few meaningful modifications which helped me stand out from the crowd of similar firms. After 2-3 iterations and status discussions, I did the final review and submitted the tweaks to make. Once that was done in a few days, Uvio turned the site for hosting.

I don't track any metrics, but the website speaks very distinctly about me, my offerings, and my proposition.

The communication is very laid-back without creating an unnecessarily stressful environment. Always timely and proactive.

I do not demand 100% perfection from vendors. I'd say Uvio came at 97%-99%.

For what projects/services did your company hire UVIO, and what were your goals?

The product (SaaS tool) UI came much more complex for users, and we had to do something to keep all abilities available, but make it useful and comfortable. So, the best way to do it was to make a fully redesign of the tool.

How did you select UVIO and what were the deciding factors?

We checked most popular examples of the work on the Dribbble by appropriate tags and found a UVIO team. We liked their job and decided to hire.

They designed a few various interface UX: some possible places to show content, different layouts accordingly to our current design and functions, and some additional wishes. After we chose a one certain layout, they started doing step-by-step features in UI.

At first they made on the first-look screen for the user. The next they designed a search form, search results and workflow for it, the main dashboard with the data and some useful features. We worked via Figma tool, and had a regular Skype-calls to discuss results and make some improvements.

Our users are really happy with the new Popsters version. It came much more useful and easy to use. It looks better and works faster.

The Team work was great. They regularly provided updates and news about the project process. We communicated via Skype, email, Slack and Telegram.

I like the UVIO team can create a really good and beautiful interface for the users. It's very hard to find so nice company that can make fresh and modern design so fast.

I just recommend to keep some order and clean in the layers of the Figma :-)

Thanks to UVIO’s work, the client increased their app sign-ups from 1–2 per month to over 30 per month. The end customer was pleased with the increases they experienced 

How did UVIO perform from a project management standpoint?

UVIO was extremely communicative and on top of deadlines. Whenever I asked them to adhere to one of our internal processes, they were happy to do so. They understood the requirements and weren’t afraid to ask questions. 

UVIO was very efficient to work with. A couple of things did drag out past the deadline, but those were extra items added at the request of the end customer. All in all, we had a very positive experience. We used Jira, Google Meet, Google Chat, and emails for the collaboration. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

UVIO was very eager for the project and actively participated from day one. They were involved in investigating solutions for the end customer. They also made some great suggestions, and the end customer was very happy as a result.

UVIO could have improved the documentation when transitioning for maintenance.
