I'm an IT Systems Administrator at a Consulting firm in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire US Resources, Inc.?

As we continue to look at various ways to enhance our overall IT security posture, one of the most recent projects we've undertaken was to incorporate a US Resources recommended, multi-factor authentication (MFA) product into our cloud provided services.

What were your goals for this project?

We were looking to protect our Cloud hosted data with 2 factor authentication in a way that would secure our systems, while minimizing disruption and inconvenience for users.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We've worked with US Resources for quite a long time. They've worked with us on multiple successful projects over the past few years and have earned our trust.

Describe the project in detail.

Since we have an ongoing relationship with US Resources, they were able to promptly schedule and remotely setup the "back-end" portion of the multi-factor solution quickly. Once this part of the project was completed, they provided all of the necessary information, guidance and support to our IT staff to complete the rollout to users.

What was the team composition?

The team was composed of at least one lead Senior technician at US Resources and included the IT staff at my firm. If it had been necessary, US Resources would have completed the entire project for us, but we asked them to involve our own IT staff.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was a success. All end users are now required to authenticate using a password as well as a secondary authentication method. Surprisingly, there have been very few, but quickly resolved problems reported by end users. I can recall hearing only one minor complaint (about the mobile authentication app) out of 60+ users.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The people at US Resources are competent, responsible and prompt in all communications. During this project as well others in the past, they stay in touch to make sure all expectations and timelines are met or exceeded.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

While US Resources is a relatively small company, they have the expertise and knowledge that one would expect from a large corporation. They treat customers as good friends as opposed to just another client.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There are no areas for improvement I can identify on this particular project. Everything went exceedingly well. In the past, there was one time when we felt that US Resources wasn't responding as quickly as we would have liked, but this was the result of bad communication on both sides, as well as a series of unfortunate and unexpected events. Since that one incident, US Resources has taken steps to ensure that our expectations on timeliness are always met.

As the Vice President of Finance and Administration, I oversee the IT activities of a trade association representing insulation manufacturers.

For what projects/services did your company hire US Resources, Inc.?

As a current customer, we asked US Resources to provide the details and scope of what is involved in moving our operations into the Cloud. US Resources already takes care of all our IT needs.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to successfully provide an option for staff members to be able to work remotely on Fridays. We needed to be able to access network files and perform as if we were sitting at our desks in our offices.

How did you select this vendor?

I have trusted US Resources for many years (20+) to take care of and meet our IT needs. Each previous project had been a success and there was no reason to go with another vendor to perform this task. US Resources understands my staff and the association needs, and has always provided the best solution for us.

Describe the project in detail.

We had several meetings to review and discuss the project and expectations. The US Resources staff provided a step by step project outline and plan timetable with associated costs. The detail provided was extremely helpful in allowing us to make our decisions and understand the final result.

What was the team composition?

We were assigned a lead engineer and a project manager. Both of which had the experience and knowledge to fulfill the goals of our project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our boss had given staff the option to work from home on Friday's. With working remotely through the Cloud, we have been able to do this for more than a year. Then when the Coronavirus hit, our company was already set up to work from home and no complications whatsoever. I am so happy US Resources had recommended this way of working. It made life so much easier during this time.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team was always available and ready to step in when needed. There was a seamless workflow and as we progressed with the project it came to fruition as outlined.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

US Resources always makes me feel that I am their only client when I call them. They are prompt, respectful and always helpful in meeting our needs. They take the time to understand what is going on and putting together an action plan and seeing it through.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We are currently satisfied with the support we receive from US Resources.
