The scope of the job was to implement Odoo modules such as help-desk, CRM, accounting, integration with amazon, warehouse setup and configuration, Website admins and changes, inventory, sales and many more. The jowls was to also configure the  stripe payment gateway. They consulted us in integration and configuration of each of the modules to meet our business operations.

Im the CEO of a distribution company based in the UAE. We specialise in the import and distribution of over 5,000 different SKUs across the Middle East, predominantly in the Outdoor Home & Garden sector.

We had serious issues keeping track of stock, forecasting and delivery management, so looked to switch to a new ERP and came across Odoo, we initially went with the regional office and bought one of their "Success Packs" once implementation was done, the ongoing support was almost non existent, we then searched for an alternative provider and found Uncanny who have helped us customise our ERP to be exactly what we need.

They have customised reports, fixed bugs, developed apps and all within the timeframes they estimate, they are also extremely responsive when support is needed urgently.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found them through referral on a freelancer site and they were the only ones who offered a free initial call and provided real life examples of solutions they could offer.

They customised our Odoo ERP from top to bottom, we wanted custom report formats which they did entirely through code to future proof it, as well as developed and installed a range of applications to boost the functionality of our ERP. They even made suggestions on tweaks and changes we could do to improve things as well as cut down on their time sheet, which is rare as most want to bill as much as possible.

There were 4 people in the core team and I believe an additional 5 working on the back end.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They provide continued support in a timely manner, the project is ongoing and we have since kept them on a retainer.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Project management is excellent, we only deal with two main people and they then assemble their workforce so we dont have lots of messages and emails going back and forth. They are predominantly on WhatsApp which is ideal as our entire team runs on it.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Absolutely nothing was deemed impossible, all other we spoke to tried to pivot our ideas and plans to fit ready made solutions so that they wouldn't have to spend to much time on it, these guys fully understand the importance of things being the way the client wants and do all they can to make it happen.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There was very few occasions where things were missed, which was during a time where lots of ideas were being thrown around, which we can't fault them for, they even implemented a new system to track tickets just for us, to ensure nothing gets missed.
