Tubik Agency was commissioned to execute a comprehensive visual identity and design scope spanning digital user experience, physical event collateral, and social media engagement. To support our satellite connectivity solutions, Tubik was tasked with creating a modern website design featuring custom UI/UX frameworks, responsive web layouts, and tailored visual assets that effectively communicate our direct-to-device technology. Additionally, the scope required the development of large-format event graphics and exhibition display collateral to strengthen our physical presence at industry tradeshows and conferences, as well as high-impact motion graphics designed for LinkedIn posts to showcase product announcements and key technological concepts in a dynamic social format. Tubik has successfully completed and delivered on all project requirements, providing us with a fully realized suite of web assets, event graphics, and social motion media across all designated channels.

tubik has helped us digitalise insurance distribution and underwriting processes through an end-to-end tool. As a result, we’ve seen improved efficiency, higher satisfaction from different user-personas such as consultants, underwriters and end clients, and more conversions into insurance contracts.

We’re digitalizing insurances in Switzerland for the Swiss market, and our target audience is small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). I’m the chief product officer (CPO) of the company.

We were developing pieces of software and every software need good designs. As a result, we hired Tubik Studio to do all of our visual design work.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tubik is developing UI for various things. So far, they’ve developed UI for various things such as normal websites, business SaaS websites, and e-commerce solutions for insurances. They also create designs for CRM and management software solutions that we use in the background.

In some cases, they use design templates or they start it from scratch. Then, in other cases, they rebuild designs. All the designs are done on WordPress, PHP, or React. We provide them the guidelines to make all the designs.

What is the team composition?

We’re working with a project manager. We also collaborate closely with Tubik’s designer to discuss their work.

How did you come to work with Tubik Studio?

We did some research, and we liked Tubik’s portfolio on their website. After that, we did a test with them, and they delivered quite well. As a result, we continued to work with them.

We’ve spent over $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing work began in December 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They’ve delivered very highly and most of the time, they submit outputs in a precise way. However, design is like art, and in my opinion, it hard to have a clear KPI into what they do. We’ve also gotten positive feedback from various stakeholders.

How did Tubik Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

We use monday.com to add the script, video, and briefing. Then, we also write back and forth using monday.com. Meanwhile, for the comments on the designs of Tubik, we use Figma. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tubik’s work accuracy and their quality of delivery over time have become stable and have dramatically improved. The team’s designer knows us and has done great and fast work over time. Overall, their professionalism and excellent work make our relationship successful.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think so. They’ve been working quite well for us. We have an outsourced designer from them, so I don’t really see them as an actual agency the delivers project by project to us. I’m happy with everything that we have and I can’t come up with anything that needs to be changed.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Assign a test task to Tubik because you never know who’s the designer that’s going to work with you. Record everything and clearly explain to them what you’re trying to accomplish. You can also show examples of what you want. After that, look at their results. At the end of the day, your relationship with your designer should be fruitful.

Compared to the designs and flow that we had created, the impact of tubik’s work was huge for our user base. We saw an increase in acquisition, onboarding, and retention. Everyone loved the new design; their main feedback was that the app now looked like a high-quality app.

Everything was delivered within the timeframe they told us at the start. We communicated via virtual meetings, email, and a messaging app.

The way they wanted to understand the app was impressive. They let us look at many examples to formulate an opinion about the design before even starting. We hired Tubik to design a custom mobile app interface and user experience for a new basketball player development mobile application. Tubik also designed a logo and color pallette for us.  Tubik designed a appealling and engaging UX/UI and a "clickable" prototype within Figma.  Each Tubik team member was patient, listened intently, clarified to gain additional understanding, and communicated consistently to ensure that we were thrilled with the process and the product.

Tubik went above and beyond in delivering a great process and product.  They communicated via email, Asana, and Figma.  Tubik consistently asked clarifying questions via Asana, Figma, and email. Taisy set up virutal calls along the delivery pathway, to ensure that they were capturing the vision that I had for the product.  Tubik consistently met their timelines, and most of the time attained them earlier than we expected.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I find most impressive was the quality of their work, the demonstration of professionalism and love of their craft, and their desire to exceed the vision that I tried to cast for them.  They wanted to deliver an outstanding product that exceeded our expectations, and their level of communication and timing was outstanding!  I also found that each team member was invested and engaged in the project, and that each team member was dedicated to do their job effectively and efficiently, and that each team member placed a high value on individual responsibility and teamwork.  It was the personal touch and professionalism of Tubik that will bring us back in the future!  And Taisy was amazing from start to finish!  She went above and beyond in her communication and patience with me.
From the initial call with Taisy, and throughout all calls and communication with team members, I was impressed with their processes, work, and their love of their craft.  They really wanted to exceed expectations and wanted our project to be successful for our target markets.

Are there any areas for improvement or something tubik could have done differently?

I cannot think of ways for Tubik to improve at this point- unless they want to have a payment process like to take a credit card payment from the USA? But that speaks nothing about the quality of their work or their processes.  It would maybe make it easier for an international client like myself- who lives 25 minutes from my bank

The project managers at Tubik do a great job of managing expectations around schedules, and communicate proactively in rare occasions that timelines slip. The team is great at responding quickly via Figma messages, on Slack and available to meet on short notice. 

They are able to iterate rapidly when provided with feedback, and follow up proactively when we are slow to provide feedback.

Based on the defined brand strategy, Tubik was asked to develop a new brand identity and design for our company. This included a new logo as well as the entire visual appearance of the brand in advertising and on our website. The aim was to create a fresher, more fun brand identity that would appeal to a wider audience.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

12 months after the launch of the new brand identity, we have doubled the number of new customers. This is not only due to the new branding, but it has certainly helped our growth.

The project was well coordinated by Tubik and our requirements were well taken care of. The only thing we would have liked was to have had more than 1 option for the logo, but after a bit of tweaking we ended up with the perfect design.

We wanted a website that would draw attention and make our customers' process simple and intuitive.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Tubik has won numerous awards and receives great feedback over the web for its design. When we looked at their portfolio online, we were impressed by the consistency of innovation and attractive design.

We started with a full branding exercise: Tubik walked us through a process to identify the qualities that our company, Superly, would like to exemplify, among other details. From there we worked through the UX process of each website page we envisioned, followed by the flushing out of the UI.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked directly with a PM in addition to multiple UX and UI designers. In all there were between 3 and 6 resources working on the project at one time.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We're optimistic that the UX is going to serve our customers well. One of our primary goals was to have a simple website that was easy for users to navigate. We believe that Tubik has achieved this goal. In addition, the aesthetics of the site are above and beyond our expectations - the WOW factor is there.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our project manager, Nick, has been a very effective communicator - which is exactly what we wanted. Every step of the way we have felt clued into what the team has been working on.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ingenuity, especially in the UI space, continues to blow us away. We are routinely surprised by the different ways - different color schemes and graphics, for example - they can present a concept.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Because the communication was so good, the project has gone so smoothly. No project goes in a straight line, so there were times when we had to pivot or change direction. But because the communication was so good we felt in complete control and felt comfortable throughout.

I’m the head of marketing and growth at an educational technology (EdTech) company. We have a digital math platform for the K–12 space that we currently sell to schools and school districts in Sweden and the US.

We wanted to create a new website with more compelling visuals and dynamic features for the visitors to interact with our product, mission, and us. Since we started our operations in the US, we also needed to create a new site for the US market.

tubik provides us with web design and UI/UX design services for our website. Our site is built in Webflow, and the team uses Figma for the visual aspects. We’ve just finalized the main project, and we’ll continue to have a smaller collaboration with tubik for additional features and minor fixes.

Last year, we worked with a US consultant who had been working with tubik and recommended them. Additionally, we had done some work with them on a smaller project. Since our consultant also knew them and we were happy with tubik’s previous work for us, we decided to go ahead with this bigger project with them.

We started working together in September 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our website’s traffic and inbound leads have been increasing. Although we’re growing rapidly, and it’s difficult to say how much of our success comes from having a better site, I’m certain tubik’s work has positively impacted our company. 

How did tubik perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very responsive, accurate in providing timelines, and good at keeping their promises. When we need urgent fixes, they’ve been able to address them within the same day most of the time. 

As for communication, we have calls with them through Google Meet, where we discuss the bigger aspects of the project, like milestones and strategy. For day-to-day work, we’ve invited them to our Slack, where we have close contact with the team. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

In my experience, tubik offers very good value for money compared to some of the other firms I’ve worked with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could bring me along in the journey and tell me more about what needs to happen to achieve our goals. For example, sharing how much time will be spent on different parts of the project upfront would help me understand their detailed process better. Although they’ve been transparent about timelines, getting that understanding upfront would be even better.

When working with any agency, it’s important that you have someone on your side who’s responsible for driving the project forward. Additionally, being as clear as possible on your vision and goals will help tubik create something great. Although the team is super skilled, you should be the expert in who your customers are.

We decided which vendor to select based on their portfolio, expertise, and communication. Tubik aced them all.

One of the main projects we've worked is the rebranding and design of our website Tinloof. The process started with a brief we've sent them. They dissected it and then on a call we discussed the details. They proposed different ideas, and with ongoing communication, we ended up going for a certain style.

We kept iterating, until the website was ready. They were extremely flexible, as we've altered the scope mid-way, and they found time to allocate for it. Towards the end, they've also helped us by supporting our modular approach, and adapted the Figma accordingly.
