At each stage of the resdesign, Tiny Frog listened to my concerns about the site and incorporated my ideas into the final product. Everyone at Tiny Frog was invested in my project and very responsive to my communications.

All items were delivered on-time. The team members made sure to schedule timely Zoom meetings in order to keep the project moving along. Only one time did the project hit a snag and slowed down. This was due to a team member leaving the company/project. But once I raised my concerns regarding the status, any issues were fixed and the website was completed quickly.

We needed a new website to reflect our new company name and rebranding. TinyFrog was very organized in their process. We first went through a Wireframe planning phase, then Design phase, then Development phase, and finally launched our website. We changed our timeline quite a bit, and Tiny Frog was patient and understanding through all of those changes. We launched our website on October 7.

Internally, we wanted to make sure there was no brand confusion, which we had issues with before. We were able to align our marketing materials and website and make sure branding was the same across all boards.

Our website also has faster load times, increased web traffic, and a more organized flow for potential leads going through our site.

Throughout all the phases of our project, they delivered items on time, maintained communication, and responded to every one of our needs in a timely fashion. Honestly, we were impressed by everything within our experience. From kick-off calls to working with our team throughout the different phases, they were so helpful and communicative. It was truly one of the best experiences I've had working with a vendor, especially when it comes to a stressful project like creating a new website.

We hired TinyFrog to help us design and develop a new site. Rahn Industries website was very old, outdated and facing several technical issues. The template wasn’t supported anymore and we couldn’t update any plugins. Those issues were compromising our Google Ranking and website traffic.

I searched online for companies that had experience with WordPress and high ranking from old customers. After reviewing all of them we choose TinyFrog due to their skill in past projects, their cost estimate, and the positive interactions with the company when seeking a quote.

The website was just released a week ago, so we don't have any measurables yet.

The team was very communicative and responsive. There were some delays in my part and they were very understanding. We communicated via email, virtual meetings and phone calls.

They understood pretty quickly what I was going for and were super easy to work with. Also after development there were minimal errors to correct. Very efficient and competent team.

My company has existed since the late 90s and we have never done much towards our own publicity, we hired Tiny Frog to do a complete revamp of our website to fit the times.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We screened through multiple web dev companies and scheduled many phone calls. Ultimately, we picked Tiny Frog because we believed that they understood our needs the most and that we weren't paying for many features that we didn't ask for. The aesthetic of the websites that Tiny Frog has made in the past are aligned with what we wanted and so we felt confident that we could hit the ground running from the get-go.

Tiny Frog's workflow is split into very clear phases:

1. The Kick-off Call to first discuss expectations
2. The Strategy Phase to settle on a wireframe and overall layout of the website
3. The Design Phase to tackle the design language and overall aesthetic, producing several design palettes for us to pick from; and finally
4. The Development Phase where the website is enhanced with all the buttons and features and pushed out for quality assurance testing and launch.

There was a web strategist, a web designer, two full-stack programmers, and we also asked for a copy writer. We knew that we would be recommended video editors and principal photographers if we needed them for media content for the website.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It is still very early stage since our website launch was no more than a week ago, so we don't have any metrics to show yet. However we look to continue to increase our presence and potentially expand our business in the coming months, the website is a good start and could serve as our new storefront as we gather more interest.

Communication is primarily done through emails and there is a dedicated point of contact for each phase of the web development process. Turn around is usually very quick, most phases you hear back within 1 business day. For the web development phase, understandably it takes longer to code functions and features into the website, communication remains active but turnaround is usually around a week or less.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I quite frankly don't have a benchmark for what's unique since this is our first out-sourced web development company, but I will say that they have been very helpful in making sure that even when it comes to having them host your website, they will continue to support you even if you have to make future tweaks to your website. They also do a good job teaching you how to use WordPress to do edits on your own. So, continued support, virtually indefinitely, is a strong suit of theirs.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Design is very subjective, and so it might have taken a little more effort than we initially thought to convey our hopes and wants. But it's no fault on their part, they were very patient with us as we tried to settle with a design language that we felt strongly about amongst management in my company. So maybe some food for thought is on how to guide clients to thinking about design when they don't typically have a knack for anything artistic, or perhaps when they lack the vocabulary to convey what they think looks good!

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mikel (Owner) worked with us to understand what we were looking for, specifically in crafting the scope of work. From there, we worked with their designer to determine the actual look and feel of the pages as well as to identify any design features we wanted.

Then, another person was in charge of overseeing the development, design, and testing of the platform. Once the site was completely finished and all changes we requested were implemented, they deployed the platform. They offered training and continued support, too.

We worked with Mikel as well as their designer and development lead.

We had a marketing director who used to work with us, and she was the one who put us in touch with the team.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our platform became more intuitive and a lot more representative of who we were as an organization. We were also able to incorporate video components that showcased our culture such as what it would be like to work in our company since we were a recruiting site. In addition, the site gave us an opportunity to highlight our selling points and perfectly show what we could offer to potential recruits.

How did Tiny Frog Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

The team was very engaged, and they were quick to turn things around. On top of that, they were accommodating. The project took a little bit longer than expected because of us since we wanted to make sure we already identified our selling point and provide a copy to them.  Other than that delay on our part, Tiny Frog Technologies was always on time and sometimes even ahead of schedule.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were willing to work with us to understand where we coming from and what we needed. They had the right way of doing things. We really liked that they allowed us to modify and customize our design to fit who we were.

Are there any areas they could improve?

During the design phase, we noticed that they had their own style of doing things. We were very particular than a typical client would be as far as the visual aspects of the sites so we think they could’ve been more creative.

Understand what you’ll put out to your audience and have the ability to articulate your selling point so that your desired product will be effective.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our main goal was to revamp our brand and website, and Tiny Frog helped us expand a little more on the scope by referring us to a partner who could design new logos. They also helped us out with developing a standardized set of fonts and design elements that we could utilize on our website, documents, and marketing collateral. 

We provided their team with all of the content, and at the end of that process, they put together a brand style guide that compiled all of our new design elements. We’re now in discussions with them for follow-up content creation and web design work.

I was able to talk to their CEO directly during the initial phases. We went on to work with a team of three people who strategized the brand, managed the project, and designed the visual elements of our company’s identity. 

How did you come to work with Tiny Frog Technologies?

We found them online and saw that they had worked with businesses similar to ours. When we looked into their samples, we found their designs to be right along the alley of what we had in mind for our brand. 

We also liked that we would get good value for the cost. Tiny Frog was very upfront about what they could and couldn’t do for us, in which case they would refer us to another partner. They had a great follow-up practice, and it gave us confidence that they were the right team for the project.

By the end of this project, we will have invested around $15,000–$25,000.

We started working with them around June–July 2021, and our partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

A lot of people have reached out to say that they love our new logo, website, and visual theme. Everything looks clean and is exactly what we needed to refresh our brand. Even our LinkedIn presence has grown significantly after our brand relaunch; our followers have increased by 40%, and our interactions and activities on the platform are at a much higher level now. 

How did Tiny Frog Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Tiny Frog has done well on this front. We appreciate their team’s organization and honesty about what they can achieve for us. 

We’ve had some pushback on our side because we wanted to change some content and get additional opinions from within the company, but they’ve been very accommodating towards our schedule and requests. They’ve stuck well to their own timelines, but openly worked with us when we needed to speed things up.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

What really stands out about Tiny Frog’s services is the personalized touch. Their CEO jumps into multiple calls with me just to make sure that our vision is aligned and that the project is going well. That level of involvement is something I didn’t expect to get. 

I think it’s a good sign that, while they’re big enough of a company to take on a bunch of projects at the same time, their CEO stays involved from beginning to end. I can tell that they’re aware of all issues and genuinely care about the success of the project. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing major comes to mind. It would’ve been nice, however, if we knew from the very beginning that we could squeeze in the website launch with the brand launch and not have it as a second phase of our project. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be prepared for their team to ask you real strategic questions. They will dive deep to know what you do and what your value proposition is in order to extract the value of your company.

I’m the president of Highbury Defense Group. We’re a defense contractor; we provide engineering and cybersecurity support.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tiny Frog Technologies?

We started the company in 2013 and had our first website done at the tail end of that year. We hadn’t updated it, but the company had grown and switched focus. Therefore, we were looking to get a website that more accurately portrayed us. Also, we wanted it to be more professional-looking than the one we had.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tiny Frog helped us with everything — they supported us from a creative standpoint and developed the website. We wanted help with the design because we lacked the creativity to develop it ourselves. 

Initially, we had several calls with their team, and they got to know the company and what we were trying to achieve with our website. Part of it was an employee backend where we could post numerous things on an ongoing basis. Since we don’t selling anything, the site had to be a little different than other websites. However, we needed one because it’s contractually required in our business.

We met with them numerous times, so they really understood and got an idea of what we were looking for. They asked us to send examples of websites that we liked and explain why we liked them. Tiny Frog got us to an endpoint from an esthetic point of view; they spent a lot of time talking about what content we wanted and how we wanted it to be displayed.

Once we got to that point, they built each page. During that process, they gave us multiple opportunities to provide feedback and review it. We spoke to the developer as often as we wanted, and they were very good at communicating with me. In the end, they made sure that they met schedules and built the website how we wanted.

Mikel (CEO & Founder) was involved initially. Then, we worked with a creative person. She handed us over to Andrea (Designer & Development Coordinator), who did the development part.

We were initially looking for a company in San Diego to host the website and found them through a Google search. When we first started the company, we didn’t have a lot of money to get the website developed, so we went to a mom-and-pop shop first. Once we became bigger and had more money, we knew we wanted a professional site. We went to Tiny Frog because they were already hosting the website for us and had done an outstanding job with that.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent $11,000 on the website.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in December 2020, and it’s an ongoing relationship. The website is finished, but we stay with them for hosting.

We don’t need a website for getting hits or things like that, but qualitatively, we’ve had a lot of compliments from our current employees. Also, we’ve had compliments from people who have come to the website to apply for jobs.

How did Tiny Frog Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They were fantastic. Communication was fantastic, and the team met every deadline on their end. They mainly dealt with me, and I got busy on occasions, but they were still excellent at allowing me to take the time for other work while keeping me on track.

Moreover, they’ve been great in providing me with training on how to use the website. If we get stuck, one of their developers helps us to make the changes we want.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They spent a lot of time getting to know the company, which meant that they could really reflect us on the website. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, no. The price, service, and engagement were fantastic. We don’t want to have to update the website for a while, but we’d certainly go back to them if we needed to.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They'll lead you through the entire process and provide as much help as you need. Nonetheless, it’s very helpful if you can give as much input as you can about how you’d like the website to look and what’s important to you. They’ll take that input and turn it into a fantastic product.

Francis Financial is a financial wealth management firm. We specifically work with women and women who are going through a difficult transition, such as a divorce or the loss of a spouse. We help these women plan their finances and manage their wealth to make them more secure in the long term. 

I am the senior director of marketing at the company and I handle everything that has to do with our brand, messaging, social media presence, website, and overall initiatives to bring in potential clients.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tiny Frog Technologies?

I’ve been with the firm for eight and a half years, and I built a website when I came in. There was enough content where needed but the website was not very user-friendly and lacked a call-to-action in some places. I went to a company that made suggestions on how I could change it, but the outcome wasn’t very cohesive. 

I then approached an SEO team, only to find that the SEO was pretty bad on the backend of the site. There were no conversions or meta-tagging, and the whole thing was not made to be easily searchable on Google. I finally hired Tiny Frog to help me with this slew of issues. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I wanted to retain what we already had, so the first thing we did was have Tiny Frog host our existing website. At the time when we started the engagement, the website had just gotten hacked, so this was a way of ensuring better security as well. 

Eventually, I decided to create a brand new site with cohesive messaging, call-to-action’s, and solid backend coding. Tiny Frog used WordPress to build a new website where all of these improvements could be implemented. They also made sure that, unlike the last one, this new site would be ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act Standards for Accessible Design) compliant.

Tiny Frog arranged the content so that any user who comes across the website immediately sees our credibility. Our awards and press were nicely organized and categorized. They also created a feature that allows users to sign up for our newsletters and blog posts. 

Another interesting functionality that Tiny Frog developed enables users to be redirected to a booking page immediately after they fill up a contact form. It connects them to Onehub, which is our scheduling app. To take it a step further, their team created an internal mechanism that customizes what links users receive depending on what they entered into the form. We have different advisors who speak to different clients depending on the size of their assets. This function ensures that the right advisor is connected to the right client. 

We also coordinated the design with Tiny Frog using InVision. They implemented the color palette that we selected, created clean icons, and made sure that the layout wasn’t overwhelming. They also incorporated stock images along with our photos into the website. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with Carole (Web Designer) for the design. During the implementation phase, we had Kelsea (Development Coordinator) and Inga (Lead Development Coordinator). There was also a person with whom we interacted before Carole. They were the ones to get all of our information and put a wireframe together. 

How did you come to work with Tiny Frog Technologies?

I heard of Tiny Frog through a podcast that specifically caters to financial advisors. There was a guest, a previous client of Tiny Frog, who talked about their team and how incredibly they had put a whole website together. That’s when I reached out to Tiny Frog myself. I liked their presentation, processes, and communication, so we decided to move forward from there. 

How much have you invested with them?

They quoted me $13,500 for the website and $100 per month for the hosting. I’ve added a few extra things along the way, so I believe we’re at $15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in November 2020. We have an ongoing relationship.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve received numerous potential clients through the website. These clients have scheduled with us directly through Onehub, so we’ve been able to see that immediate conversion. The structure that has been implemented by Tiny Frog has also saved us countless hours of back and forth because now we can easily determine if a client is ideal or not ideal for us. 

We’ve also received a lot of great feedback on the new look of the site. Everyone who’s seen it is just floored by how clean the design is. Our blog page, in particular, has gone through a huge change. Visitors can now easily go to that section of the site and search articles based on category and topic. 

How did Tiny Frog Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Tiny Frog is absolutely fantastic. They respond to our questions very quickly and are very good at communicating edits and designs. 

We originally managed the project through Monday.com but later on decided that Google Drive would be easier and more seamless for file sharing, uploading, and leaving comments on documents. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

What stands out about Tiny Frog is their patience. We make plenty of requests and do a lot of back and forth, but they’re always willing to make sure that we are happy with the final product. We also like that they don’t nickel-and-dime us for every revision. I also appreciate that they go the extra mile for their customers.
