The original launch date for my project was set for December 1st, but the process faced repeated delays due to issues with the salesperson. Throughout the process, the salesperson continually requested additional payments and, on the day before the agreed launch date, claimed to have worked double the agreed-upon hours, demanding extra payment to complete the website. When I reached out to address this unexpected demand, my messages went unanswered.

Despite these challenges, I was impressed with the rest of the team. Fouzia and Chris were fantastic! They maintained excellent communication and ensured that all tasks were completed to the standard I was hoping for. Their professionalism and dedication stood out, especially compared to my experience with the salesperson.

While I’m ultimately satisfied with the completed website, the experience was overshadowed by my disappointment with the salesperson’s lack of transparency and the unprofessional tactics they attempted. Thanks to the hard work of Fouzia and Chris, the project was brought to a successful conclusion, but I hope future interactions are handled with more integrity.

I found their communication style unique since there wasn't too much transparency.

• Transparency in Communication:

The salesperson should ensure clear and upfront communication regarding timelines, costs, and any additional work required. Last-minute requests for additional payments undermine trust and can create unnecessary stress for clients like myself.

• Accountability and Responsiveness:

Ignoring client messages, especially regarding critical issues like unexpected payment demands, is unprofessional. TheGenieLab could implement a system to ensure all team members, including sales personnel, respond promptly to client concerns.

• Adherence to Agreements:

The team should strictly adhere to agreed-upon terms, including the scope of work and timeline, to avoid unexpected delays or disputes.

• Conflict Resolution Protocol:

Establishing a clear protocol for resolving disputes or concerns about billing or workload discrepancies can help address issues promptly and maintain client satisfaction.

There were custom requests for certain data to be include and excluded during the sync'ing process. They specifically helped in tailoring the software for our specific needs with sales channels and customer filtering.

THEGENIELAB created a brand new website on Shopify. They were extremely patient with us, as we had a lot of hiccups, including a name change in the middle of the project that required a rebrand. They have gone above and beyond to help me understand how to make changes, and even came to the rescue when I accidentally crashed the site. I highly recommend.
