TEXAS SOFTWARE helped us develop our power and MOC (Management of Change) apps. They cleaned up the programming aspect and implemented custom coding.

They built this platform using a template and automated the process. It’s essentially a hybrid app that can be accessed by our personnel online.

They were referred to us by some colleagues who had worked with TEXAS SOFTWARE in the past.

We worked together from August–November 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

TEXAS SOFTWARE was able to help us expedite our process and made sure all the automation in the build was running smoothly. They even reached out to us to check if there were any additional issues with that software.

How did TEXAS SOFTWARE perform from a project management standpoint?

They quickly returned all our calls and were agile in responding to all our questions. We typically communicated through email and Teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re very impressed with their personable approach to the partnership. They cared about our project and ensured that they were always working to a higher standard.

Our issues were more on the technology we were using, so there’s nothing they need to improve on.

To get the most out of your engagement with TEXAS SOFTWARE, make sure you have a full scope of what you want so you don’t have to go back to rework some aspects of the project.

I’m the owner of a general contracting company called Cut-Out Construction.

What challenge were you trying to address with TEXAS SOFTWARE?

We were a new organization, and we were trying to redirect our product and service offerings to our clients. Therefore, we wanted to update our website and add in automated marketing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

TEXAS SOFTWARE designed our website and company logo. We collaborated with them and had a couple of meetings in which we tried to figure out what design was most appropriate for what we do. After a couple of iterations, we landed on a design we liked.

They also took our product and service offerings to create our content and develop the website. They helped us get the appropriate hosts for our website. I believe we used WordPress, but they set up different accounts and got us the certificates we needed in order to scale our business. We created the site with three different sections. They added a landing page which was linked to our commercial and residential pages.

For the marketing automation, they have helped with our email campaigns by taking some of our lists. They also create content and blogs that we use for social media and to help with our SEO.

I have worked with Matt and Vesa (Co-Founders). They split their duties — Matt worked with us on the website, and Vesa worked on the marketing automation.

I came across TEXAS SOFTWARE because I worked with Matt at another company years ago. I knew the caliber of work that he put out; therefore, I was confident that he’d do that for me as well.

We’ve spent less than $10,000.

We started working together around November 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website design and development accurately reflected the feedback we gave TEXAS SOFTWARE during our conversations. We had good activity on our website, which gave us some hard metrics that we could measure.

We needed to have multiple iterations before getting to the final product, but they really expedited the project. I was knowledgeable to some degree on what we were working on, but there was a pretty steep learning curve. However, they did a good job at ramping up my knowledge and walking me through the process. 

I’m also satisfied with their operational side. The way they’ve conducted the project was very knowledgeable and direct to the point. They have done a great job and exceeded all of our expectations.

How did TEXAS SOFTWARE perform from a project management standpoint?

We didn't use any tools. We went meeting to meeting, and TEXAS SOFTWARE sent us an agenda with what our next action items were. They were on time from the very first proposal that they gave me. If we were late on something, it was probably on our end.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I have found TEXAS SOFTWARE’s attention to detail most impressive. There has never been a moment in which they didn’t do something they said they were going to do or missed any expectation I had. 

I had worked with quite a few companies before, and they didn’t always listen to our needs, nor made sure that all of the work that we put into it hit the mark. However, TEXAS SOFTWARE keeps to all of our timelines. We always communicate our expectations. Additionally, they take the time to understand our business and are well-documented. We don’t spend a lot of time on unnecessary things.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t put my finger on something I’d tell TEXAS SOFTWARE to do differently.

Any advice for potential customers?

We had a mild vision of how we wanted everything to feel. We wanted to be experimental with our email campaigns and website so that our customers didn’t feel like it was a waste of time. Therefore, I’d say going to the team with a good vision of what you want is really helpful and helps expedite the process.

All aspects of how to build a better strategy around online services and solutions for current and future customers.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed a overhaul of our website, how to make it more user friendly. Design a develop strategies that are relevant and engaging with todays consumer needs and expectations. A process that could be easily modified as trends change with the goal of establishing a strong brand in our industry.

SOLUTION

How did you select TEXAS SOFTWARE?

Based on interaction with Vesa his knowledge and understanding of the importance of building a strategy based on industry trends. Vesa and Matt were also able to help us better understand the how and why we needed to take certain approaches, rather than just telling us they educated us.

A complete revamp of our online presence and strategy. This included working on the following: Rebuild of our website, SEO strategy, content marketing, social media marketing, CRO strategy.

Zooming meetings that allowed us to have detailed conversations, ask questions and get answers we could understand.

We are already seeing results from their work.

Our working relationship has been excellent. Matt and Vesa were able to keep us on task making the experience educational and productive.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Ability to listen to what we had to say and what we are working to achieve. More importantly help us understand why things we were doing on the past were not providing the results and creating frustration.

I haven’t been very active on the website because I’m just getting going now. I’m not posting every day yet because I’m simply not busy enough. However, the project has been a success. TEXAS SOFTWARE taught me how to log in and add to it. They walked me through all of that. It’s a good website; it’s nice.

How did TEXAS SOFTWARE perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re always very responsive and work with me on a daily basis. Any time I’m available, they make themselves available. We have meetings over the computer as well as hold face-to-face meetings.

They are responsive and always make themselves available for me. They get work done quickly.

No, I have nothing bad to say about their work. They’ve done a great job.

What was the scope of their involvement?

TEXAS SOFTWARE helped us migrate our website to a new server in order to solve the issue that was affecting our former website. They worked on our shopping cart and resolved the trouble with seamlessly transitioning between holidays.

I’ve known Mehmet for many years. We worked together for a long time. He’s always my go-to.

Our engagement was from October 2019 until January 2020 when I sold the company.

Their work was critical. We weren’t able to do any e-commerce with the issues we were having. What they did to get us back up and running was excellent. TEXAS SOFTWARE is very thorough. They always kept me up to date on what was going on. Their team was easily accessible, and I never had to wait for a response. They were very professional.

They had a great response time and were always courteous. We usually communicated once a day through phone calls or emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with their honesty as well as ability to work efficiently and quickly to reduce the cost. TEXAS SOFTWARE provided huge efforts for our company without the excess that other companies might do.

I’m the VP of compliance at Smith-Pinion OQSG. We help our customers deal with certain regulatory requirements related to training and safety.

What challenge were you trying to address with TEXAS SOFTWARE?

TEXAS SOFTWARE mostly did some database work, connecting it to our user interface on our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

TEXAS SOFTWARE provided a range of services for us. They did some work that helped us automate our billing sequences, which had previously been a very manual process. They also built us a software tool, bolted onto our existing structure, that helps people manage change to procedures, processes, documents, etc. 

Another one of our big goals together was to improve some of our back-office stuff, like updates and testing of our software.

I just worked with Matt (Co-Founder).

How did you come to work with TEXAS SOFTWARE?

Matt had been an employee of ours, and I’d worked with him for a number of years. I didn’t consider working with anyone else.

We spent less than $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2019–March 2020. Unfortunately, we had to end our engagement due to COVID-19, so much of what TEXAS SOFTWARE was working on, we didn’t get to finish.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

One of the reasons I’ve always enjoyed working with Matt is because he sees further into the future than I do. Historically, he’s built me systems that proactively deal with issues and challenges that I don’t even have the capacity to see. TEXAS SOFTWARE has helped us avoid a lot of problems, simply because of the way they design systems and architecture. Their foresight is the biggest impact I’ve enjoyed from working together. 

How did TEXAS SOFTWARE perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re best in class. TEXAS SOFTWARE has a unique ability to grasp the business of what we’re doing. Matt and his team are very organized and very systematic in how they track time and cost. We’ve not once had a surprise from them regarding deadlines or budget. I’d never work with anyone else — I just trust them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Personally, it’s my relationship with Matt. I hired him years ago, and having the opportunity to watch him grow and succeed has been great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing that comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take great care to explain your objectives, and then listen. Matt has a unique ability to process what those objectives are, and he can identify problems before they become problems. Involve TEXAS SOFTWARE upfront as you’re brainstorming the objectives, and let them help you avoid pitfalls.

I’m the vice president of operations at an oil and gas operator qualification, evaluation, and training company.

We contracted them to develop a software solution for scheduling and resource management.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built an API-centric solution using Angular.js. We provided them with our vision and deliverables. They drew up the plans, and together we hammered out what precisely we wanted. They helped us translate our ideas into a technical solution.  

What is the team composition?

Mehmet (Founder, Software Architect & Technology Consultant) was our main point of contact. There were 6–8 developers working under him. 

How did you come to work with TEXAS SOFTWARE?

We knew the owner from previous projects we worked on together prior to him founding TEXAS SOFTWARE.

We spent about $90,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2019, and we finished working together in January 2020.

They laid the foundation for this program. There’s no other business that does what we do, so they were instrumental in developing a customized solution for this new venture. 

The software product has increased our scheduling and reporting efficiency. It also gives us the ability to get data in real-time. 

How did TEXAS SOFTWARE perform from a project management standpoint?

They have great communication, and they’re very detail-oriented. They were always transparent about what was going on, and their team explained the development process clearly. We used Azure to track the progress of the project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re able to take the time to explain the ins and outs of their work. A larger company might not interact as much with their customers.
