 Development of a custom dual-brand website solution with a unified landing page experience for both Sydney’s Sanctuary ATX and Sydney’s Cat Lounge. The project included complete website design and development, SEO optimization, mobile responsiveness, e-commerce setup, system integrations, and ongoing technical support.

The project involved creating a highly customized web experience from the ground up in WordPress for two distinct but connected brands: Sydney’s Sanctuary ATX and Sydney’s Cat Lounge. A unique shared landing page was designed featuring an AI-generated cat animation that travels down a rabbit hole and lands at a directional sign, allowing visitors to choose which website they wanted to enter—creating a memorable and interactive user experience.

• Designed and built both websites entirely from scratch in WordPress.

Any minor delays that occurred were due to my own travel schedule and occasional delays in my responses rather than her workflow. She was always highly responsive and easy to reach, whether through email or text. She quickly addressed questions, implemented requested changes, and provided support whenever needed. I always felt that my feedback and vision were heard, and she made the process feel collaborative while ensuring everything stayed on track.

What impressed me most was her ability to combine creativity with technical expertise. She did not just build a standard website—she took my vision and turned it into a unique, interactive experience. The custom landing page concept with the AI-generated cat going down a rabbit hole and directing visitors to choose between Sydney’s Sanctuary ATX and Sydney’s Cat Lounge was incredibly creative and unlike anything I had seen before. I was also impressed by how she handled every aspect of the project from start to finish. She wasn’t simply a website developer; she managed SEO, mobile optimization, integrations, Google setup, merchandising displays, scheduling systems, and ongoing support. Having one person successfully handle both the creative and technical sides of such a customized project made the entire process seamless and exceeded my expectations.

I hired this company to redesign my website, with the main goal of fixing the broken contact forms. From the beginning, the project took far longer than promised—what was supposed to be a two-week job dragged on for months. Despite repeated assurances, the most basic functionality still doesn’t work: the contact forms never functioned properly, and links shared on social media display the wrong images, which affects my ability to promote my content.

The contract included testing, functionality checks, and performance optimization, but none of those were actually delivered. Even worse, the project was marked as “complete” without my approval while I was out of the country, making it impossible for me to test the site myself.

Now, I’m being asked to pay extra to fix issues that were supposed to be resolved from the start. This feels like an intentional tactic to leave things unfinished and charge more later. I would not recommend this company to anyone expecting reliable service, clear communication, or a commitment to quality.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

At the beginning of the project, I was impressed by the team’s professional presentation, organized onboarding process, and clear communication. They seemed experienced and confident, which gave me hope that my concerns—especially fixing the Contact forms—would be resolved. Unfortunately, despite these promising early interactions, the final delivery did not meet the expectations set in the contract, and I was left with unresolved technical issues that directly impact my website’s functionality and purpose.

The cost would have been acceptable if the deliverables were met. But since I cannot use my website as is and I have to pay other company to solve the items unsolved by Techavela I consider a waste of money

Are there any areas for improvement or something Techavela - Your Digital Partner could have done differently?

The company needs to improve their follow-through on contract deliverables, especially regarding functionality testing and final quality assurance. Critical issues—like non-working contact forms and incorrect social media previews—were left unresolved, despite being clearly outlined in the scope of work. Additionally, marking a project as complete without explicit client approval or confirmation that all features are functioning properly undermines trust. More accountability during the post-launch phase and a client-centered approach to project closure would greatly improve their service.

I then hired Techavela, they revamped the site in 1 day and improved it significally. Amber is very knowledgable, patient and understood what I was trying to accomplish and exceded my expectations. 

I would recommend them if you need your website done and want to find someone to trust and deliver a quality job in timely manner.  Amber never asked for a referral but deserves the positive review
