TechAlchemy played a pivotal role in developing our staking platform, handling everything from the ground up. They planned out and developed the smart contracts, ensuring the foundation was secure and efficient. On the development front, they built a cool looking front end using Angular and a back end in Node.js, providing solid user experience and robust performance.


They helped conduct extensive load testing which ensured the platform could handle high traffic, and they assisted in sourcing penetration testing to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.

When our legal team identified necessary adjustments based on the product spec, TechAlchemy pivoted quickly, integrating required changes as needed. Their support has continued post-launch, with ongoing optimization and feature development.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The results from the staking platform were super impressive. We saw a quick uptick in users, with thousands jumping in to stake their tokens on day 1 in the private soft launch which was great to see. The smart contracts worked brilliantly, handling loads of transactions smoothly.

TechAlchemy's project management was really great. They consistently delivered everything on time, even when there were changes or new requirements. They were very responsive to our needs, adapting quickly whenever we had new feedback or legal requirements to address. Communication was good too, and they kept us in the loop throughout the entire process, making sure we were satisfied every step of the way. Their proactive approach and attention to detail made the whole experience smooth.

One thing we noticed with TechAlchemy was that it took a bit longer to get into the development phase because of the extensive discovery phase they led us through. At first, this felt like a delay, but in hindsight, it was absolutely worth it. The time spent upfront really ensured that the platform aligned perfectly with our users' needs. Without that thorough discovery process, we likely wouldn't have hit the mark as well as we did with the final product.

The initial design of my idea was done wonderfully. The Product Owners really knew their stuff and what I appreciated about working with TA is they understood my end goal, and found better ways to achieving the customer experience by desigining the product better

1. Knowledge of the space:
   1. Web3 is still relatively new to the mainstream, but everyone I have worked with at Tech Alchemy is clearly so passionate about the space and knows their stuff. I think that is the difference maker, this is a space which is changing everyday and they keep up with it all out of curisoity and genuinley enjoy what they do it looks like
2. Easy to work with:
   1. I have worked with other devs and teams, but TA is always available and I don;t have to speak technical jargon to get the point across.
   2. Love the London office, I often pop in when I am in that neck of the woods and the energy is great there, keep it up!

Our apps are running ona fraud protected backend system and on-chain transactions are enabled on our web portal (homepage).

Developed the full ICO strategy on behalf of our company. Scoped and worked on the core infrastructure using Typescript, Javascript and WebGL for our geospatial data mapping platform.

I came to tech alchemy with a vision of what I wanted to build. Their team helped me with competitor analysis, target audience analysis, feature scoping, sprint planning and running. They did full service development on the web2 elements of the product (in-app functionality) and all elements of the blockchain development. 

They also assisted in creating pitch decks and funding material that aided in ICO raise of $6m and partnerships with media companies and private investors.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Proof of concept product and MVP were built within the desired timeframe. Product was built without bugs or performance issues. Assisted in achieving $6m target ICO raise. App approved for appstore and google play store. Project did not exceed budget which i had initially feared.

MVP and POC were delivered on time. Weekly check-ins were adhered to and the project manager came prepared with pre-agreed action items. When Tech Alchemy had to reschedule a call they were able to reschedule it for the next day. Any items they could not complete in a sprint were caught up in following sprints which meant the MVP and POC deadline was not missed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were not afraid to challenge me on my preconceived notions and gut instincts. It took me a little while to get used to but its a credit to their product and industry expertise and I really think has resulted in a better product.This was not something I expected but shows they view this as a partnership rather than simple client fulfilment. Working with them was such a pleasure.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Tech Alchemy could have done differently?

I'm an early riser. It would have been great if the team were able to acommodate this with early morning calls. That said, I understand people have out-of-work obligations before 8.30am.

The communication between our team has been amazing, as the feedback and idea-sharing process is always open. Tech Alchemy is very hands-on, and they consistently update me on the entire project's progress at all times.

I’ve spent £20,000 (approximately $27,000 USD) so far, and I expect to spend close to £50,000 (approximately $68,000 USD) for the entire project.

We hired Tech Alchemy to help us build a custom web app that allowed us to trigger and multi-sign blockchain transactions.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were searching for the best partners to help us create some bespoke blockchain solutions and found their experience and understanding of the space second to none. We appreciated their experience working with startups to help them succeed in the long run.

In our kick-of meeting we explained our specific needs and they laid out the plan and milestones for completion. They then went into R&D mode to confirm the timeframe and cost scope for the project. After that it was all work on their side and we were kept up to date weekly on the progress that was being made. At the end of the project our app was fully functional and deployed on our AWS servers.

I am the founder of Happy Placements Limited, a web portal that helps look after children and provides children’s services in the United Kingdom.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with TechAlchemy?

I needed help with custom web development, so I turned to TechAlchemy.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I began by sharing my vision with TechAlchemy. They then built a web portal from scratch. This portal allows us to provide children’s services and connect with children’s homes providers. Its main function is similar to Airbnb’s whereby if a user is looking for something, the portal matches them with another user who is providing it. 

TechAlchemy made the portal closed to the public since it’s meant for government use, specifically by social services commissioners who are looking to find homes and beds for children that are in care or in the system. The team also developed it so that suppliers could gain access and post their available homes or beds.

What is the team composition?

I’ve interfaced with at least 10 different people so far. I’ve met virtually with the founder and worked with a project manager and two designers through the design phase. 

Now that we are onto the next stage, which is for front- and backend development, there is a newly appointed project manager and multiple web developers. They are all overseen by the founder as well as the overall project manager.

How did you come to work with TechAlchemy?

I searched thoroughly for good web designers and developers in the UK. I sent out a brief of the project to about 20 highly regarded agencies and conducted interviews with them. In the end,  I decided to move forward with TechAlchemy because they submitted an amazing proposal and grasped the concept of the project 10 times better than any of the web developers that I spoke to.

How much have you invested with them?

At the moment, I have spent about £50,000 (approximately $67,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We had our initial discussions in March 2021, and our partnership is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The portal is still a work in progress, but each time I meet with TechAlechmy, they wow me with what they achieve and how they’re evolving the project from the initial idea. They come forward with suggestions, covering things I haven’t even thought about nor knew were possible. 

I can’t speak highly enough about TechAlechmy. I am amazed that they’ve managed to turn my vision into a reality considering the project is so niche and involves so much intricate detail. The team is able to make sense of all the material and documents I provided them. I am so glad that I chose to partner with them because, so far, they have not let me down. They are excellent, and I am so pleased with them.

How did TechAlchemy perform from a project management standpoint?

TechAlchemy is always available and happy to answer any of my questions. They work well as a team, and they are all super friendly and smart. What’s more is that they stick to schedule and budget perfectly. Everything that we’ve agreed on, like billing, timelines, and invoicing, has been spot on.

We use Figma, which allows me to walk through each of the website’s pages, view it as it would appear to the user, and leave comments or feedback on specific points of the design.

What did you find most impressive about them?

TechAlchemy has the amazing ability to transform a crazy concept into reality. They not only understand exactly what it is that you want, they also add their own input and expertise to make your idea even better.

No, I cannot fault them for anything.

Just trust them. These guys know what they are doing and they will not let you down.
