We hired Syloper to help us develop a custom web-based management platform. It’s a self-managed system that allows us to generate automated statistics. We’re also working on a web app with Syloper.

I knew Syloper from when I worked at another company before. We were very happy with their work then, so I decided to hire them again for this project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The solution is constantly evolving, and it has great acceptance, so we’re planning on implementing more improvements and relaunching it in different countries. Overall, Syloper’s work has been great.

How did Syloper perform from a project management standpoint?

Syloper has performed well in terms of project management. They go the extra mile to move the project forward and help me with planning and development. This is the first project of this size that I’ve worked on, and their guidance and support have been well-appreciated.

We communicated using Slack, Whatsapp, emails, in-person meetings, etc. We are always in constant communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

On a technical level, Syloper has been able to solve every problem we’ve had the way I’ve asked them to. We also appreciate Syloper’s flexibility, organized approach, and genuine interest in helping us reach our goals.

I’m a maintenance, industrial safety, and environment manager at a personnel transport services company.

What challenges were you trying to address with Syloper?

We had been working for some years using a maintenance software system that I had used on previous projects. However, our requirements grew, and we required improvements to the system that we weren’t able to implement because it was a pre-designed solution. We looked for other solutions in the market, but we weren’t satisfied with what others offered, so we decided to hire a local software development company to help us create a custom solution.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Syloper is helping us develop a custom software system. First, we had a project evaluation process, where they addressed all of our requirements. Based on those requirements, we established the scope of work for the project.

One of our requirements was to interconnect our operations through this system. In our previous software system, each operations area had its own software program; although the same vendor provided it, we had to open them individually, which required a lot of unnecessary manual work. Thus, Syloper has been helping us develop a solution to connect all of our different areas.

What was the team composition? 

We work directly with a project manager, and during our meetings, there are always 2–3 people from their team present. In total, there are 3–4 people working on the project.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent between $10,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them around November 2021, and the project is still in process.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Although the project isn’t finished yet, we now have access to a preliminary version of the software system, and we’re very satisfied with Syloper’s work. They’ve been creating a friendly platform we plan to implement in all our different operational areas.

How did Syloper perform from a project management standpoint?

Syloper has performed well. We’re located about 300 kilometers away, so we communicate via Zoom. They’ve also visited us in person to get to know our operations more closely. They’ve shown great readiness, so we haven’t had any setbacks. Their team always plans everything in a reasonable and accessible way.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Syloper has been great at interpreting our requirements. Despite us having a very basic understanding of software development, they’ve understood what we’re looking for.

We needed their consulting and development services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially engaged Syloper for their consulting services, which we needed for a development project that we set up for a virtual congress event. They provided suggestions on how we can build the platform — we were impressed with their ideas, so we decided to have them take over our development needs.

Syloper has then proceeded with building our virtual event platform for the annual congress and institutional website, which includes technical terms related to our services and is linked to a digital library.

We've worked with two resources, each one in charge of our consulting and development needs.

When we first decided to create our website, we worked with another company and didn’t obtain results that met our expectations. We then started looking for other providers and ended up onboarding Syloper.

Our ongoing engagement kicked off in April 2020.

Syloper has the right expertise we need to bring our ideas to life — unlike the other provides we've worked with, their team works swiftly to meet our standards and project needs. They implement our change requests without issues and are always willing to help us flesh out productive ideas. Overall, we're pleased to be working with a great partner.

We communicate regularly with their team. Syloper promptly delivers the results we need, and they integrate themselves well into our own team and our processes.

What sets Syloper apart is their highly attentive approach — we can trust them to closely monitor our product and ensure it runs smoothly, especially during an event. Their ability to adapt well to our company's environment also speaks highly of their work ethic.

We've never encountered any issues or areas that need improvement. It's impressive because they're a growing team that's still looking to expand, but they're already very proactive and efficient.

One of our most important products is a healthcare platform in which professionals and patients can generate appointments, provide and get attention via video calls, and a back-office in which insurance companies can manage payments and information. We needed development support for this platform.

Syloper provides development support for our platform. The team works mainly in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and SQL.

They were referred to me and I decided to work with them because they showed great skills and had the ability to work on integral solutions.

Syloper has provided us with great work. We were able to start this project with a reasonable first investment and as the project grew we were able to increase our collaboration.

How did  Syloper perform from a project management standpoint?

They did meet deadlines although we constantly changed requirements in real-time so we both had to have some flexibility in that sense.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Syloper is great at helping us solve everything related to infrastructure and servers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I couldn’t say anything. Any time there was anything that we were not completely happy with they worked on it immediately.

The app was developed for both Android and iOS systems.

I worked directly with two people, but I’m not sure how many more were involved.

How did you come to work with  Syloper?

We are based in Rosario, Argentina, and we knew that they’re a service provider in this city. When we had our first project with them, they worked on our institutional website. With this new project, we knew they had experience working in similar fields and decided to collaborate with them again.

We started working with them around January 2016, and the project is ongoing.

Our clients are very happy with the app. It’s useful, and the results on the market sites have been great.

I’m not familiar with the communication tools they used, but they always kept us informed on the progress of the project.

They were responsive and provided great advice based on their knowledge of the market, which helped us create a better product than we expected.

I'm the founder and former CEO of a psychological therapy platform. I launched the company in 2006 and built it from the ground up. I sold the company to a larger parent company three years ago.

What challenge were you trying to address with Syloper?

The previous version of my website was built on an outdated platform that did not have the kind of flexibility that I needed programmatically. I was growing faster than most of the clients using this shared platform, called Website Forge. It was a precursor to the WordPress platform and open-source types.

In relation to that, I needed to find a freelancer or company that was affordable and had enough experience to rebuild our website. That’s how I met Syloper.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially engaged Syloper to update our platform. They used PHP to develop the platform. The team implemented a MySQL database and used WordPress for the blog. The first project was a huge overhaul. 

They continue to maintain and update the platform. Aside from design work and managing our server, they also deal with errors on the website. They helped us develop a continuing education program. 

The Syloper team helps us produce dynamic landing pages based on location, types of therapy, and therapy issues that people search for in Google. The goal is to help our organic ranking increase. The team’s main work is to target long-tail search terms and phrases that people are looking for.

Originally, we just worked with one person. We now work with more people. 

How did you come to work with Syloper?

We decided to work with Syloper because we’d already partnered with a number of freelancers over the years. We were impressed that Syloper has bilingual programmers (Spanish and English). Aside from being technical people, they also have the capability to translate complex terms so that we can understand them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve already paid Syloper around $100,000–$250,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working in 2008, and the collaboration is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The landing page project delivered massive changes. Our numbers jumped from 10,000 to millions of monthly visitors on three authoritative mental health websites in the US. These visitors included people searching for therapy and mental health communities.

Syloper really does everything for us. We consider them to be our full-time developers. Since they helped us with the continuing education program, we experienced success and large revenue streams. That was one reason I was able to successfully sell the company. None of that could’ve happened without the Syloper team. 

How did Syloper perform from a project management standpoint?

When they say they’re going to get something done, they get it done 100%. What we have with them is more than a business transaction; it has become a personal friendship. 

They frequently communicate with our own in-house programming team, and they use a number of platforms to do so. Their team is always available as needed. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are professional and hard working. We couldn’t have developed all of these innovations without their team. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think they have any areas that they could improve upon. I’ve worked with many people before that provided below average results, but I’ve never experienced that with them. Their communication is always on par. Overall, it has been an  A+ experience.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Transparency and open and fluid dialogue.

We are trying to find, at the moment, how it originated and what causes one of our clients to be receiving various spam from their web form (not developed by Syloper). The creation of a captcha was done first. And now we are analyzing the contents of the emails.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In this we are investigating, but in previous projects they have always been able to respond in record times with good solutions and excellent results for consumers.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have a super fluid dialogue. We are always updated on what is being worked on.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The ease of detecting solutions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Perhaps delivering a report at the end of the process would be a tool that would reflect everything they do on each project.
