VLOV: support app for people with problematic addictionns
Our client, Pavlovsky Device, is an addiction treatment center aimed at adolescents and adults. It is made up of a multidisciplinary team of specialists in this type of treatment. Made up of psychologists, psychiatrists and toxicologists, since 2010 they assist and accompany people with problematic drug use.
They approached Syloper with the aim of developing an application that would constitute a support tool in this process. And at the same time, it will enable daily communication between the patient and the professional in charge.
The app
Vlov, that's the name of the app, is a hybrid application developed in Ionic 5 for Android and iOS. It was designed and created to provide resources and tools both to mental health professionals and to patients with some type of problem use. And at the same time to enable an accessible link between the two.
Regarding the objective of creating this app, we can say that it has two edges. On the one hand, from the point of view of professionals, who can have accurate data on the status of the patients in their care. On the other hand, from the patients' point of view, make self-help and support tools available to them. Always trying to make them feel accompanied both in their critical moments and in their daily life in general.
Throughout the development process, the focus was always on usability, comfort, and providing confidence to the person using Vlov. This was a fundamental point, taking into account that the user of this app will interact with it within the framework of a delicate personal process.
For this reason, both the architecture and the design were thought to generate a mobile application that is perceived in a simple and pleasant way, that provides a practical and user-friendly experience.
The application, which is already available in both the App Store and Google Play, achieves what it sets out to do: create a means of accessible link between the professional and the person who carries out the treatment.

Red-I: Online psychologist directory and scheduling tool
Grupo Oroño is one of the largest health companies in Argentina, with several hospitals in the central zone.
In the needs of modernization and improving its internal process they reached out with the idea of developing a large scale online scheduling platform directory for their therapists and clients, which ended up being extended to all of their health professionals, with different platforms and mobile apps interacting with their internals systems through a custom API and a set of microservices.
We outsourced them a team of 3 developers plus a designer to work within their internal team, developing a Cakephp 3-based web platform, where clientes are able to look for any kinf of health professionals and these professional can handle their schedules, payments and all the legal paperwork between clients and hospitals. After 4 years of the initial development we still maintain a continuos improvement team for development of new features.

Since 2009 we have been in charge of Goodtherapy.org, a leader website on his industry, with millions of monthly hits. Through the years our dedicated team have developed and maintained a long list of features and a large codebase, while keeping the system optimized for speed performance.

Tailor made CMS development for managing huge amount of information.
The client: Aapresid is the largest agricultural-related institution of Argentina. It has more than 5000 associated farmers who promotes the best practices when it comes to the usages of the land. The problem: Their main site was made of more than 10 unconnected wordpress instances, each one with their own logic, plugins and themes that were having a hard to pay technical debt and were wasting a lot of time from their employees to keep it updated when adding content and news. The solution After analyzing the existing basecode and realizing how hard it'd be to maintain in the future we opted for designing and developing based on CakePHP framework where the user could manage all his content from the same place, reducing time and costs to manage his data. The process involved a team a 2 php developers, a UX designer and a tester being leaded by a PM. We went from sketching up the designs in AdobeXD, transforming them in code and then crafting a custom php-based CMS, that will let the customer scale without limits. After a year of development (including the refactoring of on old library management software and importing and transforming the data of 10 Wordpress instances to meet the new needs) we sucessfully launched the new custom CMS, while we keep a dedicated dev team developing new features.

Angular Android and iOS app for internal communications
Our client:
La Segunda, the biggest insurance company in Argentina, come to us with the need of having an employee-only app for its internals communications (company news, schedules, importante dates, etc). Our answer was the development of an hybrid Ionic 5 app for android and iOS.
The project
We designed and developed an an hybrid application available for android and ios with firebase as a backend solution and Google Auth for allowing the access only to company's employees.
Once inside the app, the user is able to manager his profile, see the latests news, access to other apps and games the company has developed and a calendar with all the important dates.
The process involved a team of 2 developers, a tester and a designer leaded by a project manager and after it was launched it entered a phase of continuous improvement process where we keep adding features as the client and its public needs them.

Cofco International Truckers app
COFCO Intl, China's largest food and agriculture company hired us to solve a communication issue they had with truck drivers who deliver grains into Cofco's facilities. The main problem was that there was no way for the company to send massive communications to drivers waiting to deliver the load. With the android app we developed, truck drivers are able to see the ETA for grain delivery, get any news from the company and status updates related to grain quality. The app was a success, with more than 50K installs and ended being replicated into others COFCO Intl facilities across the country.

I’m a maintenance, industrial safety, and environment manager at a personnel transport services company.
What challenges were you trying to address with Syloper?
We had been working for some years using a maintenance software system that I had used on previous projects. However, our requirements grew, and we required improvements to the system that we weren’t able to implement because it was a pre-designed solution. We looked for other solutions in the market, but we weren’t satisfied with what others offered, so we decided to hire a local software development company to help us create a custom solution.

One of our requirements was to interconnect our operations through this system. In our previous software system, each operations area had its own software program; although the same vendor provided it, we had to open them individually, which required a lot of unnecessary manual work. I'm the founder and former CEO of a psychological therapy platform. I launched the company in 2006 and built it from the ground up. I sold the company to a larger parent company three years ago.
What challenge were you trying to address with Syloper?
The previous version of my website was built on an outdated platform that did not have the kind of flexibility that I needed programmatically. I was growing faster than most of the clients using this shared platform, called Website Forge. It was a precursor to the WordPress platform and open-source types.
In relation to that, I needed to find a freelancer or company that was affordable and had enough experience to rebuild our website. That’s how I met Syloper.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We initially engaged Syloper to update our platform. They used PHP to develop the platform. The team implemented a MySQL database and used WordPress for the blog. The first project was a huge overhaul.
They continue to maintain and update the platform. Aside from design work and managing our server, they also deal with errors on the website. They helped us develop a continuing education program.
The Syloper team helps us produce dynamic landing pages based on location, types of therapy, and therapy issues that people search for in Google. The goal is to help our organic ranking increase. The team’s main work is to target long-tail search terms and phrases that people are looking for.
