I'm the digital product/project manager for La Liberté Médias SA. We are a print/digital media in Fribourg, switzerland.

For what projects/services did your company hire Swiss Tomato, and what were your goals?

We needed to develop a mobile application that will publish our digital editorial & commercial offer. It's an app that publish our content trough the app. Swiss tomato also develop a functionnality about offers and contest for the community of subscriber.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We create a documentary about our needs and after a online shortlist in our partner, we conducted interviews with several agencies. Swiss tomato handle all our needs (delay, timing, budget and skills).

After some workshops based on our complimentary needs and the design, we decided the scope of the project. We establish a technical scope too. Swiss Tomato needed to work with our technical partners in charge of the api. All was ok for the developpement. Based on sprint, all sprint was handled perfectly.

A project manager is assigned to our project and dedicated developpers handle the developpement on iOS and android plateform.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Within 3 months after the publication of the app, we saw that we don't get enough prospect with our commercial offer. We changed this internally (concept, wireframe and design) and deliver to Swiss Tomato that developp the new scope perfectly.

We interact within their project management tools and différents meetings to align our needs and objectivs. Swiss Tomato is always very responsive of all our communication. We have some different point of contact (mail, jira, slack).

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

All of collaborators in Swiss Tomato are very competent and understanding with our needs. They are proactive and make sure to deliver a high-quality product. They are always up to date about all the challenges of the new version of iOS or Android.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

For what we encountered, maybe we needed to stay often in contact. Even if it's for 15 minutes, a bimensual call seems interessant.

I am a project manager in the Education and Public Health department of FDI World Dental Federation. We are a global NGO that represents over 1 million dentists around the globe. We develop educational resources among others.

We have work with Swiss Tomato in different projects, but this one in particular was to develop an educational mobile app that will serve as a chair-side guide for members of the cancer care team. The content that we want to share is extensive, so we needed their support into making the app a user friendly tool, that's also appealing to healthcare professionals, considering that their time is limited.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Different agencies sent us proposals to develop our project, but Swiss Tomato's was the best. They are helpful and give useful recommendations, considering we are not experts in digital development. They took the time to explain in simple, the best options. They also took the initiative and develop a prototype that helped us see before hand how the app could look like.

We had exploratory meetings to decide together the scope of the project and they took all our needs into consideration giving us the best solutions. We provided a very rudimentary wireframe, which they understood and translated into a prototype. They gave us two weeks to give comments and to approve the prototype before moving into development.

A first version of the app has been published, and a second one will be published by the end of 2022, including more content. The app is available in both App Store and Google Play.

For this project, I mostly interact with one member of the team. For additional designs that were needed along the way, I was able to communicate directly with the designer, which made the whole process easier and simpler.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After publication of the first version of the app, our team run a pilot test with experts in the field and possible users of the tool. The idea was to understand the views of possible users before moving on to the next stage. All the feedback received was extremely positive. Everyone see the value of the mobile app as chair-side guide for care teams and they were happy about the flow and look and feel of the app.

We had regular meetings to answer our questions, and Swiss Tomato is always very responsive of all our email. Most formal communications are done by email, but video calls are useful to better understanding. Feedback from our side, was given directly into the prototype developed in In Vision.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Swiss Tomato's team members are very patient and understanding with our timelines, which are not always very precise. As an NGO that works with volunteer experts, we rely on the available time of our task teams to deliver feedback and content to Swiss Tomato. For me, the ease of communication is one of the best qualities of this agency.They are always responsive and proactive in finding solutions that work best for us. They make sure to deliver a high quality product, that's easy to use and nice to look at.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think they can include a designer from their team in the exploratory meetings. This would make more easy the experience for customers, which usually have no skills about design or digital tools. Common questions could be answer during the initial meetings and customer's expectations could be better managed.

The BCC programme supports central banks in emerging countries to be more effective, through tailored capacity building. The BCC programme, funded by SECO and implemented by the Geneva Graduate Institute, aims to support partner central banks in emerging countries in building the analytical and technical expertise to conduct efficient monetary policy, promote a stable and efficient financial sector, and be more operationally sustainable.

The Swiss National Bank (SNB) acts as an advisor to the project. The project in its current form is now in its second phase, the first phase of BCC started in 2012 and finished in 2017. Already before that, SECO provided support to central banks in partner countries with the help of IHEID for several years. Im the Executive Director of the BCC team

we had contact with their Director, their Programme Manager. Their IT technicians worked on it, but we did not engage directly.

We are very satisfied with the website developed by Swiss Tomato. The final result is modern, professional, and perfectly aligned with our expectations. The objectives set at the beginning were achieved, both in terms of design and performance, with excellent respect for deadlines.

The team was very attentive throughout the project, available, responsive, and proactive whenever we had questions or needed adjustments. Communication was smooth and the follow-up was thorough, which made the collaboration very pleasant.
