We are a consulting firm that supports both public and private sector technology organizations. I am the director of enterprise solutions.

For what projects/services did your company hire Success IT, and what were your goals?

We hired them to work a number of different projects. A lot of our applications were spawned by the effort to move our clients business processes from spreadsheets and email into applications that allowed them to define and manage their processes in one place. Success IT also helped us to develop a SASS application to automate group and governance activities.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They came as a recommendation via a mutual contact. After being introduced, Success IT appeared to be a good fit, and proved to be one over time. They were familiar with our technology stack too.

We followed an agile development process. We would create issues in Jira and then have a grooming session with the team where they would ask questions and add story points. We then selected issues and assigned them to sprints for the team to work on. We had daily standups where the team would share their status and ask questions. When needed design meetings were held. At the end of the sprint, issues were deployed to a UAT environment for testing. Once functionality was complete, it was deployed to our production environment. There were various technologies used with the primary ones being Microsoft .Net, SQL Server, JavaScript, and Angular.

It varied throughout the years but was usually around 7.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our clients are now able to better manage their data and business processes. They have seen improved visibility into their data which has resulted in more informed decision making.

We used slack as our primary communication tool. We used it for one off messages and calls, as well as our platform for our daily standups. As for project management style, we followed an agile process with daily standups and 2 week sprints.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They've took time to really understand our business domain. They didn't just blindly try to meet requirements, but recognized either oversights or potential conflicts between requirements and really worked with us to make the product we needed and not just the one we asked for.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Occasionally there were minor consistency issues where the visual style of one web form was slightly different than other web forms. We would identify those in testing and let them know. They were then quick to fix them.

Ability to initiate realted different projects, starting from scratch in a solid way.

For what projects/services did your company hire Success IT, and what were your goals?

We have unique calculator which determines pixel density of objects seen by a camera, based on the sensor size, pixels and focal length. We also have formulas which calculates motion blurriness in an image based on the above parameters and object distance and speed of movement.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They were recommended by a good friend of mine, and offered the most cost-effective solution, while being very prompt with responses and updates.

They developed Android version of our app, and improved and foxed bugs on the existing iOS version.

I dealt most of the time with Cvetan (the CEO) and he delegated the work among his team.

SuccessIT usually delivers modifications or updates requested by us within a week or two.

We usually develop a screen design layout in a vector drawing program, which we then explain the functionality via video chat or recorded video.

They're always happy to listen to our requests, and they come up with better solutions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Yes, but this was dependant on the limitation of the OS, not SuccessIT lack of knowledge.
