We needed to develop a website builder which is a tool similar to Wix.com.

The website builder tool allows any client to build their own site using this tool — they don’t have to hire a developer or designer to build their website. They have to go create an account, and then the user can choose a template.

We provided Stark Edge with the colors and images, and everything else was done by them. In addition, they did UI/UX design, logo design, and then they helped us with front- and backend development — I think they used Java for the development of the product.

What is the team composition?

There was a team of 10–12 members and I mostly dealt with the project manager. If there were any doubts or confusion, the designers and developers got together so could have meetings with them.

How did you come to work with Stark Edge?

I did some research on Google. We came across 2–3 companies, had interviews with them, and then we selected Stark Edge.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent around $45,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

It started in December 2020, and the work ended in June 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They did a really great job in developing and designing the website builder, and the quality was good. We found some bugs after doing some testing, but they fixed them in a timely manner, and I was really happy with the way that they did the work. They gave us two months of assistance as well, so if there are any bugs that appear, they will take care of them without any extra charge.

How did Stark Edge perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management standpoint, they were very punctual and they did the work according to the timelines. We usually communicated over Skype, phone calls, and emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was happy with their work and I would work with them again. They did a very good job, and I was really happy with their dedication to their work. They even worked on Saturdays if I needed any help.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Whenever we need to have a meeting, they should be available at that time otherwise it can have a negative impact. They did a good job when it came to testing, and their developers and designers are very good.

You should communicate with them. Have an interview with them and you will get to know that they’re very good at what they do — which is why you should hire them.

The company offered clothing customizations, so Stark Edge's team built a custom plug-in to accommodate that. Additionally, they help us with our SEO and PPC efforts. We've initially tasked them with compiling an audit report and a complimentary report with potential SEO keywords to choose from. Upon choosing 40 keywords from the list, StarkEdge has handled onsite SEO.

Stark Edge currently handles our paid SEO, SEM, and PPC efforts. They're also in charge of running our daily ads.

We work with 11 resources from Stark Edge, including the project manager.

Stark Edge had a Shopify certification, and it so happened that they were recommended to us by our Shopify partners. We then contacted them and gave them three small projects to determine if they're really up to the mark.

We spent $15,000 on the website, while we pay the monthly rates of $2,000 for AdWords. $500 for SEO services, and $300 for SEM.

We started working together in April 2021, and it's ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We provided them with two different websites for SEO and PPC, and our organic traffic rate has increased by 40%. Apart from that, we've also rewarded the client with a higher sales rate. He was also happy with the web design and mockups generated by Stark Edge for his Shopify platform.

We communicated via WhatsApp and Skype, while we relied on Jira and Github for project management. Stark Edge is keen on meeting deadlines and responding to our questions and requests. Our client specifically liked the pitches they produced when we kicked off the engagement, and they also produce daily reports to guide us throughout the process.

We needed someone to develop and design a mobile app for one of our clients. Unfortunately, our company only deals with HubSpot, and we don’t work on mobile app development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Stark Edge designed and developed a web and mobile app for iOS and Android. Additionally, the team handled the UI/UX design and the testing phase. The app is for a courier service. It allows users to create profiles and set up deliveries. They only have to enter the name and address of the recipient along with a rough estimate of the package’s weight. A nearby driver will then come to weigh the package and let the user know the exact price. After the fees are paid, the driver delivers the package and takes a picture as proof.

We worked with around eight people, including the project manager. We had calls with the designers and developers as needed.

Stark Edge did an excellent job of delivering the web and mobile apps. We did some testing, too, and when we found minor bugs and errors, they quickly took care of it.

They were very punctual and followed the estimated time they gave us. The team also stayed within the cost estimate. The communication was great, too — we talked over the phone and Skype, and we chatted with them daily. Whenever there was any confusion, we gave them a call.

We’re impressed that they were able to finish the project within the timeframe. Overall, we were thrilled with Stark Edge’s dedication and expertise. We’re glad we selected such a good team.

We worked together from June–December 2020. It took around 6–7 months for them to complete the development of the web and mobile app.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Stark Edge was able to deliver the mobile and web applications successfully. They were able to QA the products properly, and after we had done our own internal testing, we found that both the web and mobile apps were working fine. Overall, we were very happy with the end product.

How did Stark Edge perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very good at meeting deadlines. We were in direct communications with the project manager exclusively, so we didn’t interact with the developers and designers. The project manager was the one who gave the directions and oversaw the development — which went pretty smoothly. We talked mostly through Skype, emails, and phone calls.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Like I mentioned, we only had direct contact with the project manager. It would’ve been nice to be allowed to talk to the developers and have a more hands-on approach to the project.

My advice is to communicate with them regularly and on time. Make sure you maintain open communications and patience throughout.

Regarding features, the app allows buyers and sellers to interact and conduct business. The app provides an easy and convenient way for buyers to find particular items while allowing sellers to showcase and sell their products. Users can register and easily log into the app, check the product listings, search for products, add them to the cart, and purchase them through an integrated payment gateway.

Stark Edge followed a solid software development lifecycle. They analyzed our requirements, and after that, they started planning and preparing BRD, FRD, and SRS documents. After that, they created the wireframes, the mock-ups, and the coding so testers could do automatic and manual testing to upload the app to the server.

Stark Edge met our expectations by upgrading and making our designs attractive and user-friendly. Thanks to that, our sales increased, and we now have a Flutter application with clean code.

Stark Edge had very knowledgeable Flutter developers with good availability. In addition, they had two very responsive project managers that were quick to respond whenever I sent a message to them. Regarding tools, we used Jira and Slack.
