I’m the owner of a construction company in the Philippines.

What challenge were you trying to address with Spearhead?

We needed assistance with digital marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Spearhead is my digital marketing consultant. They manage our digital marketing efforts, such as advertising to clients, and we have different business segments which include home construction, soil investigation, and specialized engineering services — Spearhead helps us advertise these services through digital media. They also work on my SEO, manage my website, and handle our overall online marketing.

We first created a customized marketing persona for each segment. This includes details of my prospective customers such as their likes and dislikes, what drives their purchase, and what social media platforms they use — we collaborate on research and they produce the content based on our findings. Additionally, they do SEO and content management for our website, and we also do some video marketing on our main social media channels, Facebook and Instagram.

I mainly provide insight on clients. Spearhead will then draft content and videos and we discuss them together before giving final approval and posting on social media.

What is the team composition?

I’ve mostly interacted with two people. I submit all the details and it’s up to them to assign who works on what.

How did you come to work with Spearhead?

I saw some of the work on social media and they were also referred to me by a friend. After I talked to them, I chose them based on their adaptability, pricing strategy, and their cost. When you’re starting off and you don’t have a lot of money, you try to find the best marketing out there in order to maximize your marketing budget. They allowed me to pay in monthly installments and set up an output calendar that includes a certain number of posts and videos per month.

How much have you invested with them?

Our monthly budget is about 50,000 PHP (approximately $1,000 USD) per month. We started off with several one-time payments, but then they proposed a monthly plan.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together about five months ago, around February 2021. The partnership is still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The positive part is that with Spearhead, we’re trying to engage every customer differently. For example with home construction, you can’t always tell clients what they want. The best thing about doing what we do now is that we have an increase in client inquiries from our posts. Our posts are more engaging and informative, and clients send us questions all the time which often leads to requests for quotes.

How did Spearhead perform from a project management standpoint?

They submit all the content for the month about three weeks prior to posting it. Our agreement is that every 15th of 20th of the month, they’ll submit a list of content for me to review so I can make any of my own arrangements.

We mostly communicate over the phone and video calls. They’ll prepare PowerPoint presentations for me and will email the file to me before our call. If the content gets approved, they will revise it for about a week — if everything is okay, we do a final revision before uploading it to social media.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What differentiates them for me is their customized service. A lot of service providers tend to neglect the customization of their services and often just sell a template of the service. For a company starting out like us, we benefit greatly from this customized approach.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Most of the content is okay, but I think they can improve on hiring better editors to create better content.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Working with Spearhead requires time management. I believe their employees are all working online, so if you can commit to a specific time with them, it will all work out.

We needed their help in social media marketing and website development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Spearhead develops and designs our websites from scratch. We've specifically asked them to highlight our core services and featured innovations, giving informative access to our principals from all parts of the world. Additionally, they incorporate web pages that introduce our new services or expansion announcements, such as our modern trade distribution in Home Depot.

Their team is currently in charge of designing a CRM platform that would allow me to manage our clients, incorporate our production from our other websites, and expand our distributor reach. Spearhead also handles our social media accounts to augment our marketing.

What is the team composition?

We work with three social media marketing experts and three web developers from Spearhead's team.

How did you come to work with Spearhead?

I’ve known Spearhead since 2017. I witnessed how great they worked for the other companies I'm associated with, so onboarding them for this project was an easy decision to make.

We've spent $9,000 so far.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I've seen our member productivity increase from 32% to 75% since Spearhead has launched their development efforts. Our online platforms have made it easier for us to reach out to people who are in need, especially those affected by the pandemic. Spearhead is a team of young and passionate individuals that delivers innovative solutions to exceed our expectations — it's safe to say that we'll always be satisfied with their services.

How did Spearhead perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via email, Messenger, and WeChat. Spearhead is a transparent and flexible team that meets our deadlines and addresses all of our concerns with knowledge and understanding. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Spearhead is keen on protecting our investments — they observe strong security measures and offer reliable technical support.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve their team corporate policies and risk management. I'm actually guiding them to help them refine those aspects.

Identify your needs and preferences, and determine the exact functionalities you want to see on your website. Spearhead is an expert team that'll make all of those happen for you.
