I am the owner of an event venue where we do business events like press launches, influencer events and dinners.

We used SP Soft Tech to design new pages on our web-site and to ensure high load speed.

What were your goals for this project?

To get a load speed of about 4 sec. and a more accessile web-site that sells better.

We had a project manager during the entire process. We also had a designer designated to the project that we had some communication with.

The project was fully delivered to our satisfaction and with great speed and full attention from the team.

The project manager was very forthcoming, proactive and helpful. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The speed with which they work. Do they ever sleep? :)

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not really, but I sometimes found that we had some communication issues due to my difficulties with the Indian accent.

I’m a software dev team lead for a product development company. We work mainly in the financial domain.

What challenge were you trying to address with SP Software Technologies?

We needed a company to develop a social media app. We already had one but it had lots of issues.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SP Software Technologies developed an iOS social media app that searches for people based upon interests. We had new designs and wanted to create new features and fix some old bugs. It took them two months. It’s still under development, and we’re trying to finalize it on the website. 

What is the team composition?

I worked with an iOS developer and a manager. I talked mostly with the project manager, but we had one-to-one contact with the developer as well.

How did you come to work with SP Software Technologies?

We looked at their profile on Upwork. I reached out to the service manager, and from there, we started communicating find the perfect resource for us. We interviewed their developers and asked them to write some tests to make sure they have the technical ability and quality development that we needed. They cleared all the tests. We then hired them through Upwork.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from September until November 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app isn’t completed yet, but it’s not their fault. We have completion left from our side. The developer was really efficient and timely. The overall development and quality of the app were really good. We’d like to continue with them in future projects.

How did SP Software Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

I’d give them a perfect score— I liked them and the way they managed the project. They adhered to best practices and our standards. We used Slack, which made it easy for us to communicate. We also used Bitbucket and our bug tracking processes. The developer accessed the software from our premises to check for bugs and fix anything that needed fixing. There were two holidays in India, and they covered for us by working on some weekends.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their follow-up and plan of action impressed us. They went above and beyond to complete the project within the agreed time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t know what they could have improved. They were good enough for us.

Contact their project manager. He’s an excellent guy.
