SolCoders was engaged to overhaul our digital infrastructure, optimize our e-commerce performance, and streamline internal operations for our extensive retail network. The project encompassed migrating our primary server infrastructure to a more robust environment, drastically improving system speeds, integrating a newly upgraded POS system across multiple physical locations, and developing a custom financial tracking application from the ground up to support our business logic.
Key Deliverables: AWS Server Migration & Performance Tuning: Successfully migrated our primary e-commerce database from our previous host to AWS Lightsail. Implemented heavy database optimization and architecture adjustments that resulted in a 10x increase in site loading speeds and overall system responsiveness. Their turnaround times are exceptional. If there is one area for slight improvement, it would be extending the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase by a few days. Allowing just a bit more time for our team to stress-test the environment in staging before pushing major database structure changes to the live AWS server would provide an extra layer of comfort when dealing with such high-volume inventory data.

Within our collaboration, Solcoders helped us modernize our old Shopware 5 e-commerce store and successfully migrate to a new system, Shopify. Our USP is selling made-to-measure mirrors, and together we developed a powerful configurator that significantly improved the customer experience. 
Solcoders supported us with full front-end and back-end development, UX/UI design, QA testing, and ongoing support. In a very short timeframe, we created over 70 configurators for more than 400 products, designed a beautiful and high-performance Shopify theme, and we are still happily working together today.

Their project management was excellent and very reliable. We built a close, almost family-like working relationship, with fast and clear communication at all times. Deliverables were provided on time, and they remained available even outside regular working hours when needed.

Milestones were set for each stage of the build which were very rarely missed and if they were, it was generally down to missed information or additions discovered along the way.

What challenge were you trying to address with SolCoders?

We needed help with the development of an intricate and creatively dense Shopify app. We are also Shopify and website developers, but creating an app is much more complicated and we needed to work with an expert to accomplish our goal.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SolCoders has built an app that involves lots of user customization options, particular code knowledge, and a simple but powerful UI for using the app. The team has handled everything, using my vision and other references we built on Webflow to convert the vision into a fully functioning Shopify app.

We’ve worked with 3 teammates from SolCoders. They communicated efficiently and always kept me updated. They are also very courteous and understanding, which is a big plus when dealing in complicated fields like Shopify app and code development.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

SolCoders answers all my questions and solves app bugs usually within 24 hours. We’ve spent almost four months getting everything dialed in and polished, and the team has also helped me with the app submission approval process. Moreover, their ability to implement new features into the app is fast and powerful. 
For example, they’ve been able to develop requests for scrolling the page to the top when a certain part of the app is engaged, creating section sticky buttons, and optimizing draggability in mobile since it is click and drag on desktop. Basically, they’ve make look simple what is surprisingly difficult to execute if you're not an expert.

They’re very attentive and respond to inquiries quickly. We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps. They also sometimes send me screen-recorded videos to discuss certain features, which is great.
