I’m a digital marketing expert based in Nigeria. I work with small- and medium-sized businesses to help them scale using direct-response marketing and copywriting. I’m currently working as a solo entrepreneur, and I own Istock Supplies, a business that delivers office supplies to people’s homes.

What challenge were you trying to address with So Cheap Agency?

So Cheap Agency is my go-to partner when I have a challenge with my website and my social media profiles or when I need SEO. In general, they give me advice on how to get my personal brand out there.

What was the scope of their involvement?

So Cheap Agency helps me run my Facebook ad campaigns. I write the ad copy myself, and I provide the lead magnets. They then help me target the right audience based on my budget.

I always decide how and when an ad is launched, but So Cheap agency handles the backend analytics and everything else related to managing my clients. So far, I’ve run over four campaigns with them, but we have no particular weekly or monthly schedule. Basically, I onboard them whenever I need to launch a new campaign.

In addition to that, So Cheap Agency built my personal website, EmekaUzowihe.com, and the website for Istock Supplies. Both sites were done in WordPress.

They also help me set up my blog posts and identify anything I might be doing incorrectly. They’ve offered SEO and Google Ads services, but I’m taking it one step at a time.

What is the team composition?

I’ve only worked with So Cheap Agency’s principal so far, and I’m comfortable working with him.

How did you come to work with So Cheap Agency?

They were recommended to me by a friend from university. It has been a wonderful relationship so far.

How much have you invested with them?

So Cheap Agency charges me over 30,000 Nigerian Naira (approximately $73 USD) per month to run my ads, no matter how many campaigns I’m running at a given time.

Thanks to our existing relationship, they do a lot of additional work that I’m not paying for. For example, they take care of my website’s security and spam protection, free of charge.

Additionally, they charged me a little under 150,000 Naira (approximately $365 USD) for my personal website, which was by no means the industry standard. Again, I was able to get that deal because of the relationship I had with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with So Cheap Agency in 2020, around the pandemic’s beginning, and they’ve been managing my campaigns since then. I wasn’t doing a lot of work with them initially, but the engagement got serious in March 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The number of leads I generate depends on my ad spend. However, So Cheap Agency has helped me find the right audience and create an effective sales funnel. For example, we started a campaign this Saturday morning, and I’m already getting good results. Most campaigns can take months to get the audience right, but So Cheap Agency was able to get me nine leads in three days, and I’ve sold two books through that campaign.

How did So Cheap Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

So Cheap Agency is a hardworking team, and they’re very time-conscious. They gave me a two-month timeline for delivering my personal website, and they delivered it in three weeks. Additionally, they finished the Istock Supplies’ site in three weeks instead of four.

I can call or email them at any time, and they always respond to my requests. We usually communicate via phone, WhatsApp, and video calls, and we use Zoom occasionally.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I don’t have to worry about whether or not they’ll shortchange me. So Cheap Agency has a very good work ethic and integrity — I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to engage them.

They know how to get the best results with the least possible ad spend; they chose their name for a reason. Their owner is committed to getting good ROI for his clients, and he’s always pushing for the lowest ad space. He has refused to work with people who gave him money to run broad Facebook campaigns because he found that broad campaigns get bad ROI. He always delivers great value for the client.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m trying to teach So Cheap Agency about copywriting, and the owner is working on that personally. This skill isn’t something that everybody knows, so he has room to improve there. Currently, he’s reading Copywriting Secrets by Jim Edwards, following my advice.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

If you communicate what you want effectively, So Cheap Agency will deliver. You should be able to clarify what you want out of your website so that they can give you that. Otherwise, if you allow them to work without direction, you may not get what you want.

After launching our website with the new design from So Cheap Agency, we saw a profitable return on investment on our website, an increase in website traffic and a low bounce rate of our site visitors which as a result generated more profit for our business.

We had minor network challenges when communicating via zoom but its not their fault it was from our end and it delayed the negotiation process
