The project consisted of: an in-depth interview with our leadership team about the company, goals, market and competitors an audit of existing marketing operations, analytics and strategy (via data analysis and interviews with the team) a workshop about traction channels growth forecasting exercise status meetings to discuss findings

Hair Cure (formerly Hair Medic) is a patented anti-hair loss treatment invented in South Korea. We offer shampoos and serums and sell them via our e-commerce store and distributors’ network.

For what projects/services did your company hire Skalski Growth, and what were your goals?

We hired Skalski Growth to help us sell HC products online and achieve predictable revenue through this channel. We required support all the way from the strategy to implementation, web development, campaign management and so on.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They got referred by a trusted SEO expert. About a year before this cooperation started, we worked on a small project in which they were responsible for PPC and analytics. We liked the outcome and the experience of working together so we decided to extend the scope.

During the two years we worked together, Skalski Growth provided us with comprehensive digital growth services for our e-commerce business. They: created a new digital marketing strategy and implemented it, managed our PPC (Google, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, CENEO) and SEO, launched and supervised our affiliate program, boosted the results of our TV campaigns through digital channels, set up analytics, reporting (they created a dashboard in Data Studio with key metrics that we reviewed and discussed weekly) and e-mail marketing automation.

They re-built our website to improve UX and conversion rate, assisted us in rebranding, advised us in terms of pricing and sales promotions, bought sponsored articles in media, helped with a lot of smaller things related to technical marketing (e.g. competitive research, data analysis, pop ups, live chat integration) For some time they also coordinated efforts of multiple internal and external teams towards revenue growth.

We had a dedicated team assigned to us. For the most of the project, Michal, Growth Manager played a central role, being the project lead and our main point of contact. He managed work of multiple specialists, namely, Konrad (SEO Manager), Jakub (Performance Marketing Manager), copywriters etc. At the end, when our efforts focused mostly on performance marketing and marketing automation, Jakub became a project lead.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They built a “digital marketing machine” that worked and handed it over to us at the end of the project. Within the first few months we managed to reach a stable revenue and optimized it over time.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was very effective. We had weekly calls to discuss results, what was done and what’s planned for the next period. All the updates, tasks and deadline were available in Basecamp. There was a real-time dashboard in Google Data Studio with key metrics that we reviewed weekly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are very pragmatic and focused on the bottom line. The communications between our teams was exceptional.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Even though the new revenue stream was solid, obviously it could always be better. When the whole system was already working and new optimizations didn’t bring any significant outcomes anymore, we took over the to manage it internally.
