The project startup and management, they provided discovery, design, and web development services. The initial project the redesign of our main website. The scope expanded to include a standalone website for our overnight camp. This work began and concluded six weeks later. The project startup included a kickoff meeting, creating the work breakdown schedule, and setting up task-tracking and communication tools. The Neologic project manager was responsible for planning and task scheduling, issue management and escalation, budget monitoring, and status reporting. The project featured stages of agile development in which the team prioritized the scope in defined, time-limited sprints. During the discovery phase of the project, they fleshed out information we shared and tailored the deployment of Open Y to fit our goals and priorities. They also assisted with user-centric design, information architecture, and wireframing to ensure a strong UX for the end product.

Our association website has experienced growth in page views since launching, and the average session duration lengthened. Total page views on the overnight camp website (which was formerly a set of subpages on the association site) have increased; the average session duration rose.

Off site has helped us design and develop the portal we needed. We decided to break the project into two different design and implementation phases so that we could achieve an incremental deployment of the site rather than a singular deployment later down the road. They’ve used Drupal 9 as the site’s CMS and hosted it on Platform.sh. The site also has ancillary services that use AWS, SendGrid, and other standard technologies.

Off site has great experience in Drupal, so they leveraged the modules and templates they had already developed, as well as the standard Drupal library, to create our site. They’ve also made some custom modifications to meet our needs.

We implemented within the website the capability for applicants to provide optional feedback. More than 75% of users have rated their experience with four and five stars, and over 80% have found our site to be helpful for understanding our program.

Off site’s performance has been overwhelmingly positive, and they’ve been very responsive. Initially, we had planned to manage this project using the waterfall model, but my stakeholders later encouraged me to move the project much faster. Thus, we pivoted to an agile development cycle, breaking the project into various phases. I really appreciated off site’s flexibility in changing their standard development process to meet our needs, which saved us financial and time-based burdens.

We make a lot of our sales online, so the site serves to sell products, engage with the customers, and inform them. The site provides customers with the materials to educate themselves if they need to learn more about our products and their use in different applications. 

Currently, Off site service is helping us with maintenance. They’ll provide support for our internal developer, acting as a backup.

The insurance word has been also, somehow impacted with technology. Nowadays, the users are more aware of the content of the products. They do Google research before buying anything, they know the prices, make comparisons, etc. Having a strong online presence has allowed us to reach these clients. We have reached new markets and done so in a more effective way than we did before.
