I am the Secretary, on the Executive Board of our Union.

We needed a complete new build on a website for our members that was password protected with user accounts, various pages/tabs that content can be easily uploaded and organized for reference, a page that is accessible to the public to receive donations, as well as a forum for members to interact with each other.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I found Max Sher on Upwork. His profile and work history was impressive. He is extremely organized, has a great work ethic, is efficient and very clear about breaking down the steps to the project while also walking you through any aspects that you're unfamiliar with.

The Sher Agency will design page mockups - 1 for each of the pages included in the sitemap attached to this scope of work. The Sher Agency will develop the unique page templates in WordPress. Video tutorials (upon request) teaching how to change out text, images, and video on the website. The Sher Agency will complete its end-to-end website launch checklist and prepare the website to go live. 30 days of support to troubleshoot bugs and errors if they come up.

I had two main points of contact (one being the owner of the company and the other being the project manager). I also responded to 1-2 emails from other members of their team.

Our members are enjoying the functionality of the website.

I appreciated the loom tutorial videos as a step-by-step guide through many of the processes that I was unfamiliar with. The majority of communication was through email.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Extremely professional, communicative and clear. They break down their processes step-by-step and are a very well oiled machine.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

If anything the communication on my end was lacking, but they were very patient with me.

They were were great communicators. They were very prompt with getting us what we needed while  letting us know what they needed from us.

I was very impressed with their level of professionalism, speed to implement changes, and overall quality of the work they produced.

I think we may have crept out of scope several times, so it could be helpful to hold clients accountable when unforeseen changes arise, but otherwise can't think of anything we'd change!
