Amazon had selected our brand for their "Accelerator" program, which was an absolute disaster. Instead of accelerating our sales and ranking positions, they actually went down. We needed to give our sales and ranking position a boost whilst de-listing from the "Accelerator" program.

They contacted us via LinkedIn. A look at their project history and a first telephone call seemed quite promising.

We had a kick-off meeting where we defined our goals and strategy. After that there were a few challenges which mainly had to do with Amazon's SellerCentral. The team keep at pace and wasted no time. Their first design brief wasn't quite our cup of tea but they immediately made adaptations according to our feedback. They impressively add and refine new keywords along with new texts for our listings.

Our main point of contact is an Account Manager, apart from the people responsible for the contract and technical onboarding. In addition we've had help from the Account Manager's team leader.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Not yet, as the new listings have just gone live on Amazon.

All our meetings so far and their approach to the job are highly professional, knowledgable and with a truly dedicated mind-set. Google meetings are regular and always on time.

Their background knowledge of Amazon procedures as well as the speed and dedication they work with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The onboarding process was slightly bumpy, but those issues were resolved quickly.

I needed help managing my company's Amazon account. A large portion of our business is through Amazon, and managing our account was a full-time job that was taking up a lot of my time.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Seller Interactive manages the Amazon portion of my business. First, I had a consultation with their sales manager. From there, they created the graphics for the product page and tried different configurations while gauging the customer response until they found the right combination of images. 

Currently, their team updates my Amazon listings as needed, including price changes, coupons, and new products. A big part of their service is inventory management; they make sure there’s enough inventory to sell and determine how much product I should send to Amazon’s fulfillment center according to Amazon’s limits. They also keep an eye out for errors in my account and address them. Additionally, they interact with customers on the platform if there are any questions or delivery issues. 

What is the team composition?

I routinely interact with three team members from Seller Interactive. An ads specialist creates and manages our ad campaigns, an account manager takes care of communication between us, and an assistant account manager handles listings. 

How did you come to work with Seller Interactive?

I got in touch with one of their sales agents via LinkedIn, and we had a series of phone calls. I chose them because they were confident in their skills and reasonable when negotiating our compensation agreement. They also created a custom package that I felt was perfect for what I needed. 

How much have you invested with them?

So far, I’ve spent around $8,000–$9,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Seller Interactive’s work has taken many daily tasks off my plate so I can focus on growing my business. They take a worry off my shoulders because I know they handle Amazon’s growing requirements. 

I appreciate that a team from Seller Interactive is focused specifically on my account, and they have someone available for me 24/7. For example, we had an issue with a listing that went down, and they fixed it within an hour after I reached out; this is great because an unavailable listing represents sales I’m not generating.

How did Seller Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?

Their initial onboarding process was excellent and very clear. Their sales team walked me through each step week by week. After that point, we stopped having regular meetings, though the Seller Interactive team is available when I have an issue or a question. They’re very responsive via email, and we have Zoom meetings when needed. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The best part about working with Seller Interactive is that they’re very hardworking and dedicated to my brand and business. Also, their services aren’t cookie-cutter. They didn’t make me choose between pre-determined options; instead, they negotiated custom services that fit my needs and are perfect for my business. They’re also easy to work with. Overall, I’ve been really pleased with Seller Interactive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be a little more proactive in scheduling update meetings; I’d be happy to jump on a call with them every week to get an update or touch base. The lack of meetings hasn’t been an issue in their performance, though, and I understand their approach could be due to other clients finding regular meetings a nuisance.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice would be to know what you want and have clear goals and metrics. Also, be in contact with them; although Seller Interactive does a good enough job that you can be hands-off with them, you could schedule regular meetings to make sure you get all the attention you need.

Their professionalism. They are professionals, they speak like professionals, and they perform like professionals. I really appreciate a vendor like SI that can set expectations and continually meet/exceed those expectations. Amateurs give wild and disingenuous expectations and then do damage control once those goals are missed. SI sets achievable goals and performs with consistency - consistency is all I can ever ask for.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

I always prefer more communication to less, and I've had to request for additional communication and further clarification on a few different projects, but what's important to me is they've continually grown with me and have done their best to improve in the areas that I've asked about. They really do care about the client.

They have also been in charge of monitoring our inventory and informing us of when we need to send more product in.

Seller Interactive has help increased sales, through different promotions, making sure our product description is correct, helping us maintain proper Inventory levels and by providing strategic recommendations. So far they have delivered on all aspects of what we expected.

Communication is mostly done through email, but they are willing to set up calls as needed. We also talk with them once a month to go over the monthly report. I would say that their project management style is on point. They are quick to make changes, quick to resolve issues, and quick to make recommendations.

How well they understand Amazon.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think the biggest thing is just making sure they stay on top on the Inventory better.

We needed help with launching our business on Amazon. We’re not marketing or Amazon professionals, so we sought Seller Interactive for help.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a few setbacks when the engagement began. We were still waiting for our trademark to come through and we were facing issues that were Amazon-related. Despite those, however, Seller Interactive was able to help get our site up and running on Amazon. They helped us come up with the images and the A+ content and eventually got us a second listing on the platform. Everything that they did was under PPC ads.

Seller Interactive also developed a 30-second product information video featuring still and moving images behind a text overlay. We provided the images and approved the wording of the text that they came up with. Their team produced everything in-house.

We have one main point of contact, and she has a team that communicates with us when she’s not available.

They were referred to us by a business consultancy.

We started working together in August 2021, and the project is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It has been a slow roll but Seller Interactive does have our whole store set up on Amazon now. When people buy our main product, which is the actual supplement, our store automatically suggests our newest item which is a water bottle.

Unfortunately, our sales have gone down every month since we’ve started the project. We attribute this to fluctuations on our end since we updated our formula and faced delays due to trademark issues. We’ve also experienced trouble with getting our brand store approved by Amazon. That took a whole month to resolve.

We’re committing to working with Seller Interactive for a few more months more to see if the metrics improve. It should be smooth sailing from here as we have everything ironed out. They have been very good to work with. 

How did Seller Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is very good. They’re very responsive and communicative, and they provide us with detailed monthly updates during our regular Zoom meetings. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed by their expertise when it comes to Amazon. They know much more compared to a previous provider we’ve worked with. They’re able to help us better because they have a very intimate knowledge of the platform. It gives us confidence that they can resolve whatever issue crops up. They know what they’re talking about, and I’m hoping that can translate into more sales for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Some very concrete revenue goals would be beneficial. When we talked to the salesperson at the beginning, we were tempted to walk away from them because we couldn’t justify spending a large amount of money. According to them, they gave us a high quote because they were confident that they could make us blow up. 

In the end, we agreed on a low service fee and a profit-sharing structure once we’ve begun to rack in revenue. That hasn’t come to fruition yet, though.

Have concrete goals that you want to work towards, whether that’s increased traffic, sales, or something else.

I think zoom conference calls should be implemented into the plan as a mandatory recap with your customers. This should be done every two weeks.

Our primary contact is Louise who acts as our point person to manage True Stock Studios within Seller Interactive. When working on new product listings, she manages a team of experts focused on creating great visuals, proven keywords, written content, and PPC advertising to bring products to life on Amazon.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The new product listings were very successful. We saw a lift in sales of over 100% compared to the previous year and a 400% YoY lift in Q4/2021 for the holiday season. True Stock Studios and Seller Interactive are now planning a 6x product listing expansion for 2022 after our successful start.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As with new relationships, you get what you put in so establishing a good workflow and positive team repoire between our companies was crucial. Louise, our account manager, made it easy to know what exactly Seller Interactive needed from us and was excellent in her communication for review and feedback on the listings created. We also hold monthly meetings with the entire team to make sure that the True Stock Studios brand continues to grow.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are our one-stop shop for all of our Amazon digital marketing needs. We will continue to grow our business together in building our brands.

Getting the True Stock Studios store running on Amazon took longer than expected as there were issues on Amazon’s end. In the end, Louise was able to problem-solve to finally get it up and running.

I selected this vendor because I liked the full team experience. I felt more secure knowing I had a group of people working on building the brand.

SI really helped move along the pace of becoming a Brand Store on Amazon and launching two new products. Every month we have a call discussing updates with the store page, campaigns, and scaling the business so it can continue to grow.

There are 5 people who I work with interchangeably. Two of which oversee the the PPC campaigns, the other two work on brand store optimization, and one other is the account manager.

The results have all be positive! SI does a great job at staying on top of all data and sending me consistent reports. Whenever I reach out or have needed anything - they respond right away and have been able to help with absolutely everything. For example, I was recently hijacked. They were there right away to help with the cease and desist letter, reporting them many times over with Amazon and have managed to take them down .

They are all professionals in the field of selling on Amazon. They are each up to date with what Amazon is doing and are able to listen to what I want and navigate the best way to make it happen!

I think going forward I would like to see us all work as a team to become more creative with the store page!
