The key deliverable was a V2 of our client’s app that took into account the feedback that we’ve acquired from the customers. Roonyx offered advice about our UI/UX design and revenue generation model. After the week of onboarding and discovery, we entered into iterative development mode starting with resolving the most pressing issues. The scope of work included adding price drop notifications, social functionality, API integration and favorite product list features.

They assigned a project manager to be my main point of contact with Roonyx, however the whole team was responsive on Slack and attended team meetings. The team was tracking tasks in my JIRA board, so I was always able to understand what they were working on.

In addition, I received weekly reports with budget spent, tasks resolved and issues raised. Since the project was already released, the team had to adapt to changing needs and urgent bugs that came up. They clearly explained how resolving those bugs affected the delivery of our planned features.

Initially, I did not expect to receive pushback from their team on the topics related to software development and product. Of course, this was done in a polite and professional manner and they respected my decision-making anyway. I felt that such open conversations contributed to the success of the product. This was a pretty unique experience compared to other vendors I’ve worked with.

There were a couple of minor hiccups along the way, but after a conversation with the team, they were resolved.

Roonyx reviewed the existing code and made a backlog of tasks to rewrite some of it, optimize and test it. Their designer worked with the customer feedback to redesign the app, and the technical team estimated the changes and got into development.

They also worked on testing the app, making sure the new version was properly adapted to different mobile devices and the performance was stable across different versions. They also helped publish the app to the app stores and provided maintenance after the launch.

Project management was good. They were always on top of any potential problems. they showed an understanding of what the business needs and offered really good and creative solutions. Victoria, the project manager we worked with was always on time and very clear in her communication. Planning and reports were good too, we didn’t have to stress about the deadline being met whatsoever.

Their approach, they look at tasks from a different angle than most teams. It’s obvious they have a lot of experience and can point to risks, or ways to improve a product beyond just coding.

There were some delays because of time differences I guess. This didn’t affect the project, but it meant that we and our client had to be responsive and provide feedback on time.

The development team itself has very experienced engineers too, so we now have a clear release schedule, and updates delivered on time. As a result, we will get a mobile application on IOS and Android platforms with the following composition: fiat functionality (issuing plastic and virtual cards, their tokenization for Apple Pay and Google Pay, blocking and freezing cards, generating card statements), custodial functionality (the layer between WEB3 and cards for storing tokens used for card transactions), web3 wallet (storage of the main assets by users)

• All of our partners appreciate that they can now test the actual product and have consistent updates.
• We were able to secure a deal with a representative of one of the Gulf countries and will be able to release the product in this geo as well.

It took a lot of responsibilities and concerns off our shoulders. We get clear reports, realistic plans, and consistent delivery, and have to invest a lot less of our personal time to manage the project.

What’s impressive is that they took over the entire process and made this project way more predictable. They know the product as well as we do, if not better, and they engage in every part from helping us make decisions in product strategy to developing complex functionality.

Not really, so far we’re very satisfied with their entire operation.

Metric: The project has been implemented successfully, we’re currently actively growing traffic, involving influencers and starting to monetize it. The application works well and it’s what matters.

Roonyx has assigned a project manager who was responsible for delivery and reporting. They adapted to our business and timeline changes by maintaining the product backlog and having frequent catch up conversation with us.

We were impressed that the team had highly specialized experts who could address and implement our requests with clarity and focus. It’s very easy to make a mistake when writing smart contracts that can cause a number of unpleasant consequences. During the delivery of the project, after Roonyx’s QA and bug fixing process, not a single bug was found. The quality of work is very high.

• The project we undertook was a fintech scaleup. As with many similar apps, it involved a lot of complexity in terms of compliance, integration, and business logic. The scope of the project was wide, encompassing the use of multiple frameworks and technologies.
• Since our focus was on AWS and serverless nano-services, finding skilled professionals to ensure a smooth continuation of the development process became increasingly difficult without committing a significant amount of resources to onboarding. Having a technical partner like Roonyx who could work with us and provide a skilled workforce that could be easily integrated into our existing processes was a great benefit to the project.

We are a partner of a non-profit organization in the UK that offers affordable studios to diverse artists in otherwise vacant property. We initiated a project to automate their operations, since they relied on several legacy systems and manual data entry.

I reached out to several development companies and I decided to work with Roonyx after getting their proposal.

Since our internal team was busy with other projects at the time, we hired Roonyx for full-cycle design and development. The application consists of a membership portal and an employee section with different access levels. The organization members can search for available studios, submit a booking request, upload documents and manage their rent. Employees have a dashboard with member information and space usage metrics.

The team included developers, QA engineers, a project manager, a business analyst and a designer. I also interacted with their account manager.

Roonyx has managed to deliver the solution within constrained budget and timeframes – just in time for the opening of a client’s new center. They have used the system to automate the process of booking vacant spaces, which used to involve a lot of back and forth between their staff and future community members. This freed up about 40% of their staff workload.

My main objective going into this project was to launch the first version of the system by a certain date in order to accept bookings for a new center. We started with a two-week Sprint 0 to lay the foundation for future development and had several sessions. Then, in the next two weeks, they could already design and develop some of the functionality. I had regular calls with the team and that gave me reassurance that we were going as planned. We’ve also shown the system to some of the staff, which provided useful feedback.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

While working on the project, they used a proprietary project management framework with iterative delivery and user testing as its backbone. I worked with many software developers in the past and they either went overboard with requirements analysis or neglected it whatsoever. Roonyx seemed to find that sweet spot where we could deliver the system quickly while minimizing the risks.

I went on upwork and had several interviews with their business analyst. I never spoke to a technical resource b4 hiring them, which was a big mistake.

ROONYX IS VERY DISHONEST COMPANY!! They took a job that they did not have the technical resources to work. The burned though hours while stalling on getting a technical resource onboard. When the technical resource came onboard after they had burned through $6000 of my money re-writing requirments that I had aready written, he turned out to be a joke. His technical solution for the application was laughable.

At this point, I hired a real software architect to vet them so they brought their CTO on the calls. The project budget would have been over $100,000 so they were really salivating for this. The CTO could not defend his useless solution and at the end, they agreed on the solution that my architect presented and admitted that they have no resources for that.

They tried to force me to go with a tech stach because those were the resources they had on staff, in spite of the fact that it would not be close to ideal for my software The dishonest part - they avoid using escrow accounts because they probably anticipate unhappy clients. They succeeded in getting me to go with an hourly contract then tricked me into making the payments as a bonus, that way, it would not fall under upworks protections.

After they spent 6k re-writing buisness requirements, they tried to get another 6k to start building software with no technical specifications. I offered to put the money in escrow and they declined, stating that I have to pay them outright. That is when I realized that they are crooks They sign contracts with many different profiles under the Roonyx company to mitigate the risk of negative feedback so avoid anyone from the company "Roonyx". STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!

Do not take on project knowing that you do not have the resources available to complete the work. Don't try to force a tech solutution on a client just because that is all your engineers are capable of doing

The vendor responded on November 30, 2022.

It's unfortunate that the client ended up seeing our work in such a negative light. This was unexpected, since he gave positive feedback throughout and kept the deliverables. The outcome was in line with contract terms. Still, we've used this feedback as a learning opportunity and looked back at our performance. As a result, we've improved the way we manage shifting client priorities and stakeholder changes. We've also introduced more transparency in the contract negotiation process.

They seemed able to figure out just about anything I threw at then. Dealing with multiple large datasets via MapBox on a mobile platform raised a number of unforeseeable technical challenges that they successfully navigated.

We hired Roonyx to build the full stack development of an interactive SaaS / ecomm site - this was a high complexity site requiring complicated project management and development. The goal was to produce a ready for market product which required us to have a mix of talented developers , designers and project managers.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

As we needed an end to end development vendor - it meant we needed a full array of skills, notable HTML5, Java, design, project management - as well as an understanding of platforms like Stripe, Githubs and other required APIs.

As described, we required a full host of skills to deliver a market ready product. This meant building from scratch a platform that enabled users to create custom documents, purchase these documents and have these documents delivered via email automatically. We gave wireframe and designs from our in-house designers, but we required Roonyx to that these designs and code them and make them functional. A host of 3rd party platforms were used including HTML5, Stripe, github APIs and others.

One of the the best pieces of feedback I have for Roonyx is their project manager Natalia, she was diligent and meant that we never interacted with their development team. In total we worked with 2 people, but I suspect approx 4-5 people worked on this project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Rooynx delivered the projected exactly as we had asked - they also continue to service the site post launch (for errors), regardless of the fact we have that we have already paid them in full.

They have been responsive, never argued and been in general very communicative about deadlines, issues. They have removed most of the stress with dealing with vendors, again , through excellent project management and communication style.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Simply put, their was a level of involvement on this contract which I really see - they engrossed themselves and cared about the actual success of the project. They took their time to deep-dive the required scope and outputs needed and were not afraid to push back on me (the client) if they felt something was not working. They ultimately felt like a partner on this project with me and not a vendor.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only feedback I would have is on pricing - while the initial pricing was reasonable and within budget - there was additional (very small) items/add ons I required that I would love to have hired for - but their pricing made it unrealistic to do.
