Growth Academy is a consulting and business research company. We conduct JTBD reseach for enterprises, consult businesses using Jobs To Be Done, Growth Hacking, Design Sprint methodologies. I am a head of research department in Growth Academy.

Our company specializes in growth hacking researches, which helps companies multiply their revenue. We had noticed that interview parsing was taking too much time, which cost extra money, so we needed to reduce these losses somehow and decided to automate this process.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to create a tool that would help people spend less time while they were processing interview results. We wanted to reduce the average time of processing time for 1 interview from 90 to 45 minutes.

We searched for different agencies with various experiences. The main goal was to find a business-oriented team that could offer not just coding, but great ideas. We selected Roonyx because their experience was relevant and final proposal about price and work approach seemed like a bargain

After selecting Roonyx we held a kick-off meeting with key stakeholders to discuss goals in detail. Then they came up with a high-level roadmap, which was pretty transparent. After that mockups were created and then designed. We chose features for MVP which was scheduled to release in a month. After the start of the development process, there were demos every week. Within a month we launched MVP version for beta-testers and got first feedback from users, that helped us rethink next features

We had a project manager as the main contact point, designer at the first stages of work. There also were 2 full-stack developers. QA was on our side

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Within 1 month after beta launch, we’ve surpassed our initial goal of 45 minutes/interview. Now it’s ~38 minutes, which gives us great benefits in terms of costs. Our market share increased as well as client’s NPS.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Everything was smooth. We didn’t spend a lot of time on communications. Daily reports and shared Jira board help us to be updated. Weekly demos were effective, so we were involved and not disturbed at the same time

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to understand business and users’ needs stood out. A couple of their ideas were really interesting in terms of influence on our results. Also they were pretty sharp with time and costs estimations.

We wanted to make a pipeline for Raspberry PI that allows to create and train models for voice commands, that can be attached to as system to control actions. The whole thing is a part of a smart home system.

First of all, there was a task to give users an option to add commands to our smart home system. That also included voice recognition technology that was necessary for the system to work.

We needed a company with a strong AI base. When we saw Roonyx did in this area, we didn't hesitate and chose them. Their experience and precision were crucial for us.

Initialy we had an interview with our future developers, talked about the scope of the project and deadlines. Then we started to outline the main stages of the development. Roonyx suggested to cut development time by discarding our initial plan to wrap project around an engine. That helped with time estimated and allowed to finish the job quicker.

They had a project manager to keep in touche with and resolve issues, and an AI engineer that worked on the project.

They were really striving for the best product possible. Quality and time constraints usually dont match very well, but in case of Roonyx, we were satisfied in every aspect.

We needed a complex management system for more than 120 dealerships. The system would help with the documents flows, analytics, car sales and car service.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to amend sales processes between core company and the dealer's network, cut the unnecessary costs, change the old reports system and get the transparent one. It had to be a full digital transformation of our data exchange with the dealership systems. Also we needed it to be SLA compliant and have a secured user data.

There was a choice between several software developers, but Roonyx’s offer stood out the most relevant, as they had a valuable experience in the industry and were recommended to us by our dealers, who already worked with them previously.

At first we had an interview. Then the technical specifications were provided they estimated the cost and the scope of the project. The project had to be done from scratch, so they performed a thorough technical analysis of our processes, cooperated with dealerships and, based on their experience, suggested features, that would benefit us.

We had a project manager to keep in touch with, but they also hired a business analyst to help look into company’s process. Overall, there were front-end and back-end developers, QA and even an account manager to support the compliance with the legal regulations and company policies, that have to be addressed even on a daily basis.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The product they created supplemented the digital environment, that our dealers can use to order from, while keeping all the paperwork transparent and easily accessible. The problems that we had with car distribution virtually disappeared, as everything is now easy, fast and reliable, hence not subject to human errors. We also got integration features and automated data source, which improved day-to-day effectiveness of our sales and marketing managers.

Communication went smooth, the team always responded quickly, gave suggestions and feedback. We had planned calls/chats weekly, sometimes even more, where necessary. They’ve always been eager to talk about the project and any issues that might appear.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Roonyx made an excellent product, and went above and beyond to help our transition. They’ve always complied with SLA and still continue to do so as a supporting company. All our feedback and suggestions are being heard and responded to. More importantly, after all this time, they’ve become a vital part of our infrastructure and continue to leave a positive impact on what we do.

I don’t know if there is anything that can be said, but I only wish that this product was made faster but with the same quality and attention to detail, that they gave to us.

The client is very keen to retain the staff’s quality and project knowledge, and has moved the project to a rolling 12-month commitment.

We use Jira and Slack to manage the project, with almost daily Skype calls. Everything revolves around Scrum methodology at both companies.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Roonyx’s adaptability and willingness to get to know the project in great detail are vital to us and ensure the longevity of our relationship. In many ways, they know the project as well as we do.

English was a mild problem early on, but Roonyx resolved this by appointing an account manager with strong English to oversee our projects.

A client of our company was looking to build a real estate technology solution for automating the entire purchasing process for customers, agents and notaries in France. The project needed to be developed from the ground up within a constrained time frame. Since managing the deal involves many stakeholders and steps, the ability to document the customer journeys properly and implement the complex logic was crucial.

Roonyx were responsible for organizing customer interviews to gather intelligence about the pain points that deal participants were facing at the time. The resulting intelligence was used to come up with user stories, wireframes and technical requirements. In collaboration with their business analyst, we have identified the logic of the future system and potential bottlenecks. The system was developed according to the Scrum methodology with biweekly sprints. The functionality included a user access module, a document management system, task tracking features, checklists, messages and more. In addition, the system enabled notaries to assess the risk of money laundering according to TRACFIN guidelines. The technology stack included Ruby On Rails, Angular, PostgreSQL, Nginx and some additional libraries.

I found it helpful to receive weekly PDF reports from their project manager with a clear indication of progress, budget and timeline. In addition, I was able to communicate with the members of the project team when I needed to. This made me feel comfortable with the way the project was managed.

I was impressed with their understanding of the real estate market, since they could kickstart the development process without a lot of onboarding. They were able to suggest some product improvements that reduced the development timeline

Our project started with Roonyx taking care of all the bugs and fixing components across the entire application and then we started to create user stories for new features.
