When I started the business in 2012, I hired a couple of companies to build the platforms. Over time, we changed the structure from hiring an external company to hiring an internal team to build the websites.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rooftop Advertisement provides a whole package of services. Not only do they build the platforms, but they also do various digital marketing services. The previous company had set up a fully custom-made platform, and Rooftop Advertisement switched it to WordPress.

Initially, they rebuilt the website and renewed and updated the database through MySQL and other services. Once the website was ready, we set up the marketing plan to see how we’d advertise and approach our market. They did the setup of our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube pages. Also, their team provided banners and other commercial images, which we use to market the platforms through websites or digital marketing channels.

Then, they focused on paid advertising for Google and Facebook Ads. Rooftop Advertising shot commercial videos with a group of actors, arranging the whole production. The videos are played online in various advertising channels, and they’re on the front page of our site.

They’ve also helped with SEO and worked on the technical side to improve how Google reads our website. They use tags, metatags, and keywords throughout the text of both platforms.

Additionally, we’ve attended a couple of career days organized by universities and private schools. They’ve helped us with the presentation by preparing leaflets. The team has done the design, business cards, and physical banners for our booth.

We’re now using Rooftop Advertisement for an ad postings platform. It’s for people who want to sell their cars, boats, house, and so on. It’s not active because we’re still correcting things, but they’ve built the website and will do the SEO and digital marketing.

First, get a plan from the start instead of trying to build your website yourself. Don’t fall into the same trap I did. Many people try to do their own website, and they go to professionals who deliver a half-made system. In the end, the site has to be done again because it was wrongly built.
