Rheal Software Private Limited is providing custom software development compatible with websites and mobile apps. At first, we talked about the basic specifications we were looking for, and then they came up with a theme. They’re building the software from scratch, but we also give them access to some of the equipment that we need to connect to so they can start from there as well.

We’re currently expanding our site, and we’ll expand the software by adding new features along the way.

Our main point of contact is with their project manager, but we also talk to a secondary leader responsible for the website. They have a large team that works overnight as well.

They quoted us on another project, and we didn’t go with them because another company promised something that ended up being fake. Rheal Software Private Limited told us all along that what the other vendor offered wouldn’t work, and they were right. We remembered that, and we decided to reach out to them for this project based on their skills and pricing.

We started working together in October 2020, and the engagement is ongoing. Our product will be releasing soon, and we’ll continue into the next phase of the project.

Our feedback on their work is excellent; they take suggestions and comments seriously, and they’re able to look for an answer for anything that arises. These are significant parts of their job that help us achieve the targets that we’re aiming for.

How did Rheal Software Private Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been excellent in that area; they’re great at answering our questions and fully resolving them and also do a good job in keeping their times. In terms of communication, we keep in touch via WhatsApp and email. In addition to that, we told them that we needed a partner who could speak English well, and they were able to provide a tram that could do that correctly — I have a great relationship with them and their project manager.

Their communication skills are what stand out the most about their work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Any advice for potential customers?

Engage in communication methods that are useful and appropriate to the time zones you’re in because they’re based overseas. Also, ensure that there’s someone fluent in speaking English because the connection between both ends is key.

The software was developed to market to other builders initially and was created as a SAAS. It include multiple databases that were used to extract data for reporting and creating PDF documents. Certain PDF documents required mathematical equations and image extraction from the database. Automatic notifications were required when certain events occurred and this done through texts and email.

I had one person I communicated with by email and occasionally by phone. This same person has been my only contact for the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The product allows my business to obtain more productivity from my managers. It improves the accuracy of the deliverables and simplifies the communication of information to my clients and the trades.

The response time of changes after the initial platform was created were typically handled overnight. Occasionally, some changes required 1-3 days.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I found this company to be honorable in doing what they say they can do regarding time estimates and quality of the output.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I cannot think of any improvements I would recommend.

I’m the architectural designer at Segall Group, a commercial real estate company that operates throughout the mid-Atlantic region. I also run the marketing department.

What challenge were you trying to address with Rheal Software Private Limited?

We wanted to create a proprietary real estate app customized to our company’s specific needs. At that time, few software programs loosely performed what we needed them to do. Apart from that, they either were too big for us or didn’t have everything we needed. As a result, Rheal Software helped us create an app tailored to our needs. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rheal Software initially created an outline of our needs. They fit their working style to ours. Meanwhile, I worked through visuals and outlines to tailor the product to our requirements. After doing that, the team narrowed down our focus and told us which processes were possible and which weren’t. They also proposed better options for us to get the result we wanted. Then, the app was built from the ground up.

For design, we provided them with the overall look we liked in terms of colors, buttons, clicks, and similar things. The team then coded everything into the app. Throughout the process, we had plenty of back-and-forth communication around improvements and tweaks. 

In terms of functionality, the app had an organized record of the deals that we were making and data points that weren't collected at the time. In other words, the app organized our users. For context, our users weren’t using any specific tool; everyone had their own processes. Overall, the purpose of the app was to group everyone under one umbrella for us to manage them easily. 

Further, we originally wanted to create a mobile app for Android and iOS. Over the course of development, we tailored it towards a website; it transformed into an online module instead of a mobile app. That way, everyone could use the platform regardless of the operating system they used.

I worked with 1–2 developers at any given time. Designers also worked on the project. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from May 2016–June 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Since the app was aimed at creating a system for our users to better organize themselves, we didn’t have any quantitative metrics to measure. Anecdotally, though, our brokers by and large were happy and impressed with the app. It definitely was a valued asset for them. 

Overall, working with Rheal Software was great. We’d used them exclusively for app tweaks and improvements, and they’d been able to point us in the directions that we wanted to go. They were great at giving us suggestions and opinions about how to do things in a better way. That continued throughout the entire process as we made changes. 

How did Rheal Software Private Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

We didn’t have any major issues with project management. They were responsive, and we never had any major issues; they never dropped the ball.

Our teams were on different sides of the globe, so we communicated primarily through email. There were a few times where we had video and phone calls. Even though Rheal Software was in a different time zone from ours — they were leaving their offices when we were coming into ours — they were always willing to jump into a call with us. There was a great dynamic between both of our teams. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

While this was my first time working with software developers, Rheal Software was a pleasure to work with; I wouldn’t have any hesitation about using them again in the future.

No, there weren’t any.

Be descriptive of your needs. The better prepared you are in providing details around your goals, the easier it will be for Rheal Software to work on your vision. In other words, the success of your project starts with you and your vision, so preparation is always good.

We are a hospitality software development company and have created a product for the Catering and Party Rental Industry. As the President, I have tried to guide the company into various development directions based on customer feedback.

We jumped on the Microsoft Windows Phone platform and ultimately needed to migrate our mobile applications away from that platform to iOS and Android.

Most importantly, we have had very few bug fix releases. In software development that is key in my opinion. I believe that demonstrates quality testing and project management. We went from our two initial mobile apps to now seven apps.

We use Microsoft Teams and DevOps which has worked well for us.

They seemed to recognize when there is a real need to put a fire out and resolve a problem.

We’re in our 30th year of providing our two main services including commercial accounts receivable management in the US and construction notice services for commercial credit grantors.

We created our software internally. However, due to our desire to make our platform web-based, we sought Rheal Software’s support to enhance our online web app. We also wanted to enable our customers and internal employees to access their accounts and jobs from their offices through our apps.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have customers that are constantly asking for enhancements to our system. As a result, we turn to Rheal Software, to fulfill our client’s requests. They’ve helped us convert what we already had and took additional steps in enhancing everything. With the growth of our company, we’ve had to add different modules as well as apps for our customers.

To be specific, they’ve completed converting our Windows Apps to web apps on HTML5 to make it robust. The modules that they’ve enhanced are being tested right now and fine-tuned, and we’re slowly rolling out our windowless platform within the next six months. They’ve also implemented their suggestions on our mobile apps, but we have an in-house developer that handles our backend work and network.

We’ve been working with Percy (Senior Project Manager) and Vishal (Founder), but they have other people working on our projects.

Vishal reached out to us and he was going to visit our place, so it was just good timing. After that, we called them to set up a meeting. We also looked at other companies, in order to make sure what other companies would offer. However, cost-wise, no one really stood out to us. In the end, we chose Rheal Software because their experience and cost immediately fit with what we needed.

We’ve spent $500,000, roughly $50,000 annually.

Our ongoing partnership began in May 2011.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Rheal Software has been our partner since 2011, and we’ve been happy with their service.  They have a pretty quick turnaround, and their quality of work has been very good. In fact, our customers enjoy the integrations that they’ve implemented on our mobile apps.

More importantly, they do what we ask for. We find little bugs and glitches sometimes, but all of them are identified during testing procedures. Once technical issues are identified, the team fixes all of them as soon as possible.

How did Rheal Software Private Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a great project management process. Even when there have been other developers working on our system, we don’t see any difference in their performance. In fact, Rheal Software’s services just keep on improving, so we feel confident in giving them projects.

Additionally, they’ve been able to come up with good suggestions. When I check their work, I sometimes ask them to make a couple of adjustments, and they immediately work on that.

We usually have Zoom calls, especially when we’re starting different projects or implementing bigger enhancements. Instead of attaching screenshots to an email, we find video calls to be helpful in discussing important things, but from time to time, we still utilize emails. Overall, our communication has been very easy, and they’ve adapted to our schedule very well despite the time difference.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their consistency is impressive. We’re both in the customer service business, and we appreciate being on the other side of it. In addition, they understand our process well, and we communicate with the same people to address our concerns or issues. Overall, we consider them to be an extension of our company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Perhaps, they can move closer to me, but I know we’re not going to get that. It may sound ridiculous, but there isn’t really something we can suggest to them. Everything in our partnership has gone well, and both of our companies have a good reputation in our respective industries. Their ability to incorporate our ideas into our systems and procedures has allowed us to maintain our reputation.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Understand that with the distance, matters may not be immediately attended to — so sometimes you have to wait a day. However, you can count on Rheal Software to immediately respond to your inquiries once they’re online.

In our case, we’ve been able to find our flow in our partnership and that’s not something that hinders us in any way. In fact, we have an emergency phone number we can call if we have urgent matters to take care of.

I’m the president and co-founder of Government Utilities Technology Service Inc. We provide application development and services primarily for county governments. It’s basically an assessment, tax, and billing app for properties.

We’re a relatively small firm, so being able to scale up developers on demand was our primary challenge.

We hired Rheal Software Private Limited for custom software development, as we have several apps that are aging in terms of technology, so we’re in the process of modernizing them.

What we primarily use them for is setting up and outlining the projects, and once they’re finalized, we bring the projects in-house and take over the management and development process.

We’ve actually utilized them on a few different projects, so I don’t know the number of developers they have in the backend. I only interface directly with the project managers and occasionally, they’ll have a developer on the call for particular questions.

Everything they develop comes back in-house where we do extensive testing. We not only test at a UI level, but we actually drill into the code and make sure the programming practices meet our standards. The driving factor behind the success is ultimately making our customers happy.

How did Rheal Software Private Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management perspective, they’ve been very excellent. I thought having a 9-hour difference between our companies would be a concern, but they’ve proven that it wouldn’t be an issue at all. They’re very sharp individuals and the communication has been great.

We use Microsoft Dev Ops and Teams as our primary forms of communication and code management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re very impressed with how sharp they are in Angular and .NET development. That’s their forte and where they shine the most, so it’s been a good experience overall.

Honestly, nothing really comes to mind at this point. They’re able to work out any issues that come up, and they’re willing to take feedback to accomplish their tasks.

If you have any apprehensions about dealing with a company that has a significant time difference, I would suggest you throw any doubts out the window because Rheal Software Private Limited is easy to deal with. They’re willing to adjust their schedules if you need extra communication, and they make sure you’re on the same page.

I've been a programmer and project manager myself for nearly 40 years, including a stint with IBM. So I can say with some authority that Rheal's work was exactly what you should expect from a software developer. They consistently meet deadlines. The quality of work is excellent. Communication was great via Skype and our Mantis bug tracking system.

Rheal has grown quite a bit since we started with them in 2006. That's a testament to the quality management team.

We are an organisation of 'users' as opposed to have detailed software or programming knowledge. The scope of work involved understanding our requirements which were literally 'on paper' and recommending appropriate software and programming language to use to derive the best outcome to achieve the desired outcome. We worked remotely with Rheal who responded quickly and professionally to deliver exactly what we had required.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project delivered ahead of schedule and exceeded our expectations, as the Project Manager was able to recommend operating enhancements that simplified some of the processes we were anticipating.

We communicated either by email, Skype, or a spreadsheet into which both sides contributed requirements and outputs, maintaining a permanent record of each phase of the build. I have always been impressed with the timeliness aspect of working with Rheal, and have never been disappointed!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

These people understand our business and they are familiar with the look and feel of the builds that we require. They are responsive, professional, despite the geographical distance, there is never confusion or misunderstanding around our requirements. It is always easy to contact even the most senior of people, and you are always guaranteed a positive and timely response.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I have always been perfectly satisfied with what they have done and had no cause for complaint whatsoever.
